Don't buy shoes unless they popula" - james
If CNBC is reporting on it, you know the "culture" is dead. They like 20 years late on this story lmao
I really hope the culture is dead or getting close to it lol I want the bubble to burst. Smh hype beasts
With all these documentaries, articles, expose’s etc on hypebeast and sneaker culture i can see in the next yr or two its gonna do a complete 180 and most of it will recede underground and the flexers will not have that respect they once had with traditional status symbols
cycles and whatnot. ;}
Don't be a marketing slave. Wake up people!
Uhhhhh. You’re so woke 🍆
Hypebeasts are pure cringe and shouldn't be on television
man. when even pink guy, who can barely speak English, says something is cringe... it must be true!
Calls himself "Doctor Soles".....didnt get into sneakers until the Red Octobers 🤣🤣🤣
Everyone starts somewhere bro. No need to gatekeep/hate on people. You should be supporting people for joining the sneaker community, not mocking them 👎🏻
@@o0MadHouse0o i support the real, not some reseller who gentrified something me and thousands of others loved before it was a "cool" money grubbing loveless "hobby" for middle class vultures
Being new isn't the issue...being unauthentic and treating hype shoes like a personality trait is.
Real sneakerheads agree 🤷🏿♂️
Thanks. I learned there's a brand called Supreme.
I like the shoes for how comfortable yezzy are, not for the hype
"Vanity of vanity's, everything is vanity"
Ecclesiastes
I will always rock yeezys but I am just getting started with reselling supreme just because it’s good money and something to do
How to look tacky 101.
If I spent THAT MUCH money on *one piece of clothing* it would go in the VAULT 💰
(and it means I've lost my mind)
I used to flip band shirts for years and then the lifestyle of hypebeast and flipping got exhausting
Fukin Love It!
The following have conspired to make Hypebeast the cool thing:
*death of hipster through this culture getting absorbed by normies
(pls never come back),
*social media,
*wealth,
*reselling and other commercial dynamics.
Can you imagine this culture thriving during the pandemic..
To buy a Birken, the prerequisite is to buy stuff from the salesman so they can completely squeeze you dry before giving out the ultimate squeeze hahaha love these tools!!! 😂
Stockx plan or idea for future exclusive retail is genius. I love it
Funny, Kanye goes on JRE saying money ain’t real yet sells a $700 sneaker
He doesn't sell a 700 dollar sneaker. Resale culture sells them for 700 dollars. Yeezys retail for like 220.00
Consumerism + brand-minded slave = rich companies
I like those make your own sneaker. That's more fun than just getting spme special sneskers.
After watching this, I now lost faith in Humanity
It's the tulips story all over again.
I saw a supreme billboard in San Francisco a few weeks ago.
Steve Jobs innovated the mobile and tech industries for good and spawned brands, companies and advance feature that will help our life's more convenient. You sell shoes, end of the conversation. Burnn🔥
What do these people do for a living to afford such overpriced, sub-par products?
they live a poor man's life with a normal income
Investing and investing for collectors are two different things. These hypebeasts need to learn the difference
Hey that’s me at 1:31 lol
This is amazing work
Waiting for Kanye East to come out with his own sneaker. ELEVATE 2.0
Replica Sneakers Forever
Hella informative. I'm seriously considering starting my own resell business. Sounds like a good way to go
been 2 years. Did you?
This brings me back memories... I built my channel on Supreme. 100% worth it
Personally I buy Air Jordans to wear them, not to impress girls or anyone else, but to feed the fan in me. I grew up watching MJ play & wanting his shoes but couldn’t afford them then. Now I could, but these hypebeasts made it just as difficult to get them at retail prices.
I like em too but they trash material everybody has em they hard to get cost twice as much twenty year old tech most faked shoe on planet way too many cons for me to even want a pair nowadays like I wore em when he actually played that's good enough for me
@@nikoenciso01 good for you that you actually got to wear them while MJ played in them. Like I said, I couldn't afford them then. I wasn't the type of kid who'd bug my parents to buy me one either. So I buy them now coz I could, even if they are like mere representations of what MJ worn. I'm very picky, though. i don't buy those collabs at all. Never liked em & couldn't understand the hype. I stick with the OG colorways, and get only those with good craftsmanship. It's why I am yet to own an AJ13 even if I want one, because the materials are just bad. At least some 11s & 12s are made of very good leather.
Is he in disguise ..that mustache
They're trying to impress someone who didn't know them.
Funny part is all these items available on DHGATE for a fraction of the cost
So far I just find it interested that sam sheffer is in this. I just know him as a UA-camr who worked out of the same building as Casey Neistat. Didn't know he was such a hype beast 🤷
Anyone else realized they said people have entered lotteries just to get in supreme but then showed a Vlone wristband at 13:44 ?🤔
We gonna forget he Called Him Self g0d? 😭🤣🤣
That new yeezy though are sheety af, looks like a dumpling, even kanye himself cant scam me to buy those lol
"scam" headass
@@wheresmyrooptoff4056 this man over talkin like Kanye is the one reselling lmfao. When he’s the one that wants to make the sneakers available for everyone. Example: chuck Taylor’s and Vans.
@@luiss4002 Oh yes, that is certainly his goal! Why else do you think the cheapest models start at $250? It's very easy to be a blind fanboy sheep and not be able to guess that the goal is obvious: more sales - more profit. The problem is that he and some of his fans are not so smart to predict that everything is hype and that their popularity is built only on scarcity.
Geeks who have tried to turn young black americans hobby and passion into business, WTF is new 🆕
Black people are the blueprint.
GET RID OF THE BOTTERS! Thats half the battle
Yeah we definitely need a 50 min video about how ppl with bots are ruining the culture as a whole.
Towards then end of the video 48:35 StockX co-founder essentially explains that they want to be the primary reseller of the goods and sell at market value... not everything should operate like the stock market.
Yeezys ain't dead just because you clowns can't recoup what you spent being greedy
I'm so stoked! Just got my hands on a Yeezy Veblen -1 :))
I bought a pair of Jordan retro 1 5 days ago on StockX and the status on my order hasn't change from "waiting for seller to ship"
I Think goat is better just because they already have their own death stock to ship to their consumers...
