This isn’t an original idea, only it’s timing within the US market has served its success. I know his concept of reselling textbooks may have sprouted before, however I would like to spread awareness of booming companies popping up with seemingly original ideas with a backstory. There are the companies who have operated with the same idea yet are left in the dust with success not close to others. This all comes down to timing.

This isn’t an original idea, only it’s timing within the US market has served its success. In Australia, one of our largest supermarkets has a section called ‘The Odd Bunch’ which is essentially the same as his business. Launched in 2014, it was also endorsed by Jamie Oliver. I know his concept of reselling textbooks may have sprouted before, however I would like to spread awareness of booming companies popping up with seemingly original ideas with a backstory. There are the companies who have operated with the same idea yet are left in the dust with success not close to others. This all comes down to timing.
Not just timing, it's execution. Social media has been a thing since forever but not everyone cracked it.

The like to dislike ratio on this video says it all I think. This is a problem that I've know about for a while and someone finding a solution to it is pretty awesome. Of course with people eating the ugly fruit that means less people eating the pretty fruit so...good for the environment, great for the company, probably bad for the farmers and the economy.
It's actually more efficient. If lesser produce is getting sold in stores, grocery stories will first discount and then adjust their models to bring in as per demand. Not waste. So there's now more produce left over to go around for those in need such as at food banks.
