- Unused battle theme from the first Etrian Odyssey. Of course, we now know this song better as "Battlefield - Inspecting the Resounding Weapons" from Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard. Glad they brought this song back in the sequel, because it's friggen' awesome.

To think that this was originally planned for the first game while already sounding great is really neat. It ironically feels a lot like the 2U version as well
Oh yeah, this one was 100% intended to be used. It's a really polished sounding track. Honestly, I bet it got cut because it doesn't carry quite as nicely into the chiptune style that was used in the first three games.
@Nerjinzul1 That would be correct. The album was included with the first game via some promotions in Japan, and the tracks on it were ones that were made for, but not used in Etrian Odyssey. This one, as the description states, actually wound up being used in the second game with the name "Inspecting the Resounding Weapons".
Well, this is of "Inspecting the Resounding Weapons", but yeah. These were just sound tests or whatever when they were conjuring up ideas for use in game, I think.
Are these songs from a "prototype" of Etrian Odyssey 1?
If so, jesus christ, I love all of these.
Still, even in its prototype, "Inspecting the Resounding Weapons" is better than any of the battle themes of one. That's just my opinion though. Thanks for the upload!
