Also, while spin #'s matter, descent angle should be factored in to that equation. Steeper the descent angle the less spin you'll need. In fact if you're coming in steep you may want to REDUCE your spin #'s. All about context. And as others have stated, you're comparing apples & oranges. Hope the new sticks work for you.
mmmm still not sure what to do....i Live in Canada trying to decide between the Gen 4 and the Gen 3 irons ( Gen 4 currently are 345 per club Canadian...Gen 3 are 165 Canadian ) my question is do you think the Gen 4 are worth the increase compared to the Gen 3......I currently have Gen 2 SGI irons and love them but i wanna upgrade....value anyones view on this...thx and cheers from Canada
I went for a fitting a few weeks ago and got fitted into the gen 4 0311 xp. But the price is scary. Think I’m gonna go gen 3 and hopefully play them for the next several seasons. My decision is solely based on price
@@ryanwalters694 i agree its 1400 less for me to get the gen 3 than the gen 4 in the 5-GW.....thought about just going 6-PW in the gen 4 but its still 800 more than the 5-GW Gen 3.....how were the Gen 4 to hit ? do you think they are worth the price difference ??? right now in Canada its 345 canadian for the Gen 4 and is 165 per club canadian for the Gen 3
@@GOLFADDICT65 I won’t lie. They were super smooth and the feel was outstanding but the gen 3 aren’t a bad set either. The feel is real good with the 3 too. Not exactly the same but close. Make them a degree stronger and they’re very comparable to the gen 4’s
The swing is buttery smooth!!!
Why are you comparing a forged blade against a hollow head? Gen 3 t vs gen 4 t would have been an actual comparison.
You compared a pure blade iron vs a hollow-head iron. Were you even aware of it?

Can you compare to a different blade?
