Striking one's thumb with a hammer gives instant relief from Tinnitis. As for the electronic tones & alien space sounds one finds on youtube are ineffective. I have a noise sometimes that seem to drown out voices I wear octigan open not sure if supposed to hear this or if its tinnitus which I definitely get at night when aids r out any thoughts?
Unfortunately, there is probably some hearing loss at high frequency, as is the case with me. Normal hearing tests only check up to 8 or 10khz. If you're like me, the hearing loss causing tinnitus is up over 10 to 16khz, and because there aren't speech sounds in that range, it's reported as normal on the hearing test. Anyway, enjoy you're hearing while you have it and I would recommend masking devices which can be removed more easily when you don't need them.

This device (Lyric) could be used with the cochlear implant? In case we proceed with the implant!
If any residual hearing is left post implantation they normally fit you with a behind the ear hearing aid for low frequencies and the implant for high frequencies (that is what they call EAS (electric acoustic stimulation). I have never heard of a lyric being used in this case.
Get used to it. I've had Tinnitus for 14 years and I've been monitoring the research front the entire time. I see no progress towards a cure what so ever. Nothing but treatments, treatments , treatments.
Let me get this right this device is water resistant, amplifies outside noise to the point it safely masks Tinnitus, and the wearer just goes on with life as usual with Tinnitus relief and better sound quality? Also, what about earplugs when you go to concerts and loud environments?
Cost is not relative Not everyone has $1000s to spend. I think a ballpark figure would be nice. The amount might be the difference between pursuing the product or just living with the tinnitus

If any residual hearing is left post implantation they normally fit you with a behind the ear hearing aid for low frequencies and the implant for high frequencies (that is what they call EAS (electric acoustic stimulation). I have never heard of a lyric being used in this case.
There's been times I just wanted to shove screwdrivers into my ears because of the ringing sounds drive me insane.
Sir I have hearing loss and tinnitus in my right ear. Is it device helpful for me?
Possibly. Have you been medially evaluated for single-sided tinnitus?
I tried this hearing aid for several months but it did not improve my tinnitus and was not comfortable and sounds sounded weird
I need help, but I'm broke.
What is the cost of Phonak device
You don’t buy them. Its an never ending subscription. They are replacing them (not rebuilding or recharging) every few months indefinately.
I thought Lyric had supply issues. Has that gotten better?
Yep, we're now getting Lyric devices like normal.
Can this device be used on perforated ear drums? Bad ear infection caused perforated ear drum and now, chronic ear infections causing tinnitus 😩
а где в России такой купить?
How cost-effective is a hearing aid that has to be changed out every couple of months?
How important is hearing? Cost is relative.
Cost is not relative
Not everyone has $1000s to spend. I think a ballpark figure would be nice.
The amount might be the difference between pursuing the product or just living with the tinnitus
