Great idea! My project already has drywall but unfinished back, so it's even easier. I'm going to use those adjustable boxes, the depth can be adjusted with a screw. Never used them before, but that might work for thick walls if you change your mind or something.
I found this video very helpful for cutouts in wainscoting panel! I got confused a moment & thought you made 2 boxes 😂Figured out you removed it off the video! Very clever sir!!
Amazon. The ones i used were made to rivet to things. I know some of these magnets are used on trackers that are on the containers from rail cars. They are then pulled by tractor-trailers. I hope this helps 🙂
I like your innovation. -But by the time you rig this jig & accidently drop & pick up the magnets a couple times you could have measured & notched out four outlet holes with a drill & jigsaw.
I have a weight bench right beside that wall plug. In the past the bar from preacher curls have busted the plate when it would hit it. I left it in the wall to prevent this. I didn't show it in the video, but I made that wall panel easily removeable to service the plug if needed.
yeah. it was covered in saw dust and it is a shop. Worse things than my spit will spill on it, gas, oil ect... It cleaned up well and I will have you know the shop was not harmed by it :) lol Thanks for watching!
This is a very good idea for the type of plugs your using but of you are using the square plugs that don’t have a center screw. Come up with plan B. I wish I had a plan B 😂😂😁
Only the left one... the right leg is named John and really gets upset when someone calls him Jack 🙂 they are identical twins so it is understandable when it happens
@@3BricksHigher, Yeah . I don’t see the big deal . Haha ! I’m a female finish carpenter and I spit dust out of my mouth all the time . Beats swallowing sawdust 😝. I’m sure I look like a barbaric heathen to some . But at least I ain’t swallowing sawdust or whatever. Spit ain’t the end of the world on the ground or a dirty shop floor. As a matter of fact , the sawdust absorbs it and it gets swept up at some point 🤣🤣
It's a shop. When I break down a motor in it the parts look terrible too. I don't think anyone notices the plug. It's the only one like it in the shop lol
Brilliant idea!! Saving time is well worth the small investment to create!
Thank you!
Did this foo just beat box the background music 😅
🙂👍
Thanks Domin, very informative and useful tips as always!

Thanks for the kind words 🙂 I'm glad this helped you 👍
You can find those magnets at home depot in the nail &screw aisle
You can also put chalk on the outlet box or some paint put the board against it and it will mark your spots.
🙂👍
Would a 40lb earth magnet work?? I saw some 100lb but I may have trouble pulling off the paneling.
As long as it's small enough to fit, It would most certainly work 🙂👍
@@3BricksHigher I’m using 5/16” panels
@@jeffsond40lbs should be strong enough
best part was the spit. LOL
had dust in my mouth lol
This is the comment I was looking for. haha
Man I wish I had seen this four out of six outlets ago.
Love this idea! Thank you
🙂👍
Definitely gonna try this. Ruined 2 pieces already....lol. down to my last one
Where’d ya get the earth magnets with holes ? Want to get the right ones . Thank you 😂

Thank you for watching! I found the magnets online on ebay. They were pretty cheap and VERY strong! :)
Thank you it’s gonna help a lot 👍
If you can't find them, let me know. I have an extra set I wouldn't mind sending you, on me of course.
Wow this is a great idea. I appriciate it.
Brilliant idea but I'm trying to put up corrugated metal panels 🤔
I like your innovation.

Fair enough, but I've yet to drop it 🙂👍
@@3BricksHigher - Understood. Also, your idea is perfect for a larger job, like an entire home, etc..
Pretty dang slick
Thank you John 👍
Good tip I might have to use this one!
All good until you spit. 😏
@@lanalambert3605 never spit 😏
This is amazing
💥THANK YOU...!!!💥

Good stuff 😊

👏👏👏👏 thank you!
Why didn’t you move the boxes out before you covered them with the siding so you can put the white cover over the electrical outlet again

They have gadgets like this on Amazon
I should've thought to sell em too 😂
Thanks so much
Nice trick!
Great tip!!
Really good thank you
brilliant! Thanks
Thanks 🙂👍
Genius
I missed something. I’m dumb and slow and white.
Hmmm... it's pretty self explanatory. Watch again and you'll get it 🙂👍
Ohhh god electric and magnets make me so SO nervous!!!

LOL I didn't have the electricity hooked up :) Thanks for watching!

Awsome
Thanks G-man!
Hurts seeing that go up with a visible AC unit but no insulation
The thick panels actually insulate the shop pretty good. I can get the temp down to 72 in the summer 🙂👍
Well I be damn great video
Why? Just … why?
One word... "Simplicity"
don't spit on the ground. PLEASE
I had dust in my mouth. It was on my shop floor which was dirty anyway. It's been cleaned. It's all good now ☺️
Do it all the time,, chew tobacco taste bad when swallowed!!
Aim at a spitoon, but don't always hit it dead center...

Except it won’t just line up perfect it just won’t. It needs to be within an 1/8 inch but it could be 1/2!off
Everything lines up perfectly. I don't understand?
No it doesnt work good for sheetrock, they cut all the wires inside because they won't use the base to adjust the depth.
