Not unless they had some really fucked up anatomy and it required a ton of skill or something. 3. Even if employers would be impressed by that, it doesn't matter because patient privacy laws prevent you from disclosing who you have worked on. Every single aspect of it is extremely stupid and the closer you look the dumber it gets.

I mean, it's 1 hour for someone with experience versus a couple hundred hours for a beginner to start it. He's saying it's not work because he assumes writing music and playing bass is something the artist enjoys. He could honestly probably find someone willing to do it for free.
The thing is, projects don't become more or less "work" based on how much someone enjoys working on it. If an artist hates working on a project but still does his best and gets paid 100$ for it, that's fine. If another artist works on that project while having the greatest time of his life he should still get paid the promised 100$ even *if* everyone can tell that he really enjoyed doing it. Taking money for good creative work is more than just a personal decision in my opinion, it's also a statement showing that you believe in the quality of your creative work and feel confident enough to charge an adequate price for it. Also, when you pay someone, like the bass player in this video, for working on something for 1 hour, you're also paying for his front-up investment of time, money and hard work he had to put in in order to get to that level of skill in the first place! That's why highly trained people like doctors are well paid: Because they studied their asses off and worked hard to get there, not because they cut open bodies for half an hour every now and then. All that aside he really might've found someone to do it for free though simply because some people either have high skill and too much free time or because they don't value the little time they have high enough.

It amazes me how little people respect artists. I've tried to learn how to draw before, and as someone who never got good at it, it is REALLY difficult and takes a lot of time and work, and yet people just assume they'll do whatever they want. I have a girlfriend who's an artist, and I almost never ask her to draw something for me, and on the rare occasion that I do, I always assure her that I'm willing to talk prices with her. She has done it for free (the perks of an artist girlfriend), but I always assure her I'm willing to pay if she wants. Artists are not your slaves. Respect them.

8:07 Friesians are draft horses. They aren't bred for advanced riding, normal riding, jumping, liberty, or dressage. Though, you can use a Friesian for normal riding, they specialize and are most comfortable with farm work. (Pulling carts or wagons) On the other hand, a Friesian Sport horse can be used for drafting and normal riding. They are equally comfortable in both. If that lady had wanted a pure bred Friesian (which are quite rare and can be mostly only found in the Netherlands), she would do her research and find out what they can be used for. Pure Friesians are not comfortable with only regular riding. She MAY use a Friesian for dressage, but it is mostly a stereotype. If she wanted to do advanced dressage, she could *try* with a Friesian Sport Horse. Friesians are not comfortable with only doing dressage and normal riding. She would need to put a lot of drafting in that plan to make sure the horse is happy. She needs to find a new hobby, the idiot. This is a well known and basic fact to horse riding/horse fans. Wanting a *free* Friesian, that's out of the question.

Here's a bit of advice. Caring for a horse is more expensive than buying a horse (large vet bills, a LOT of feed, water bills, farrier if needed ect.) If you can't afford to BUY the horse, you cannot afford to CARE for the horse. Especially a breed that tends to have a NUMBER of issues due to inbreeding. Especially an already compromised immune system, and, I don't know, _Aortic artery rupture._ Friesians could easily spike up vet bills easily. They are not the same price to care for as any other horse. And also NO ONE IS GOING TO GIVE UP A _PUREBRED_ FRIESIAN ANYWAY.

Here's hoping, but even so, I'd be really happy with a 2:1 :D

The thing is, projects don't become more or less "work" based on how much someone enjoys working on it.
If an artist hates working on a project but still does his best and gets paid 100$ for it, that's fine.
If another artist works on that project while having the greatest time of his life he should still get paid the promised 100$ even *if* everyone can tell that he really enjoyed doing it.
Taking money for good creative work is more than just a personal decision in my opinion, it's also a statement showing that you believe in the quality of your creative work and feel confident enough to charge an adequate price for it.
Also, when you pay someone, like the bass player in this video, for working on something for 1 hour, you're also paying for his front-up investment of time, money and hard work he had to put in in order to get to that level of skill in the first place!
That's why highly trained people like doctors are well paid: Because they studied their asses off and worked hard to get there, not because they cut open bodies for half an hour every now and then.
All that aside he really might've found someone to do it for free though simply because some people either have high skill and too much free time or because they don't value the little time they have high enough.

It amazes me how little people respect artists. I've tried to learn how to draw before, and as someone who never got good at it, it is REALLY difficult and takes a lot of time and work, and yet people just assume they'll do whatever they want. I have a girlfriend who's an artist, and I almost never ask her to draw something for me, and on the rare occasion that I do, I always assure her that I'm willing to talk prices with her. She has done it for free (the perks of an artist girlfriend), but I always assure her I'm willing to pay if she wants.

Friesians are draft horses. They aren't bred for advanced riding, normal riding, jumping, liberty, or dressage. Though, you can use a Friesian for normal riding, they specialize and are most comfortable with farm work. (Pulling carts or wagons) On the other hand, a Friesian Sport horse can be used for drafting and normal riding. They are equally comfortable in both. If that lady had wanted a pure bred Friesian (which are quite rare and can be mostly only found in the Netherlands), she would do her research and find out what they can be used for. Pure Friesians are not comfortable with only regular riding.
She MAY use a Friesian for dressage, but it is mostly a stereotype. If she wanted to do advanced dressage, she could *try* with a Friesian Sport Horse. Friesians are not comfortable with only doing dressage and normal riding. She would need to put a lot of drafting in that plan to make sure the horse is happy. She needs to find a new hobby, the idiot. This is a well known and basic fact to horse riding/horse fans.
Wanting a *free* Friesian, that's out of the question.
She might have been looking for a cart horse - maybe she lives near one of those cities with roads which are friendly to horse-drawn carriages.

Caring for a horse is more expensive than buying a horse (large vet bills, a LOT of feed, water bills, farrier if needed ect.) If you can't afford to BUY the horse, you cannot afford to CARE for the horse.
Especially a breed that tends to have a NUMBER of issues due to inbreeding. Especially an already compromised immune system, and, I don't know, _Aortic artery rupture._
Friesians could easily spike up vet bills easily. They are not the same price to care for as any other horse.

Well. let's be fair. It's work that has no tangible value technology, science, medicine or engineering wise and is in reality worthless as a result. Service work just gets the scraps left over from the STEM spending. While an artist might want a fair price for a painting, unlike an engine or electrode which is valuable to everyone and yields money, a painting is only as valuable as whatever someone thinks it is. What might be worth £20 to me might be worth £200000 to someone else but still mostly £0 in the grand scheme of things. Anyone can ask what they want and pay what they want for something that does fuck all.

Sometimes it's worth looking at your life and changing something. Also worth noting, people are a lot more likely to help you if you are nice to them. I have done loads of odd IT jobs on the side, never turned down an opportunity, careful with my money, it helps a lot:)

Graduating from university this summer. Last legs of my dissertation now, both super nervous and super excited. Mathematically, if I get an A on my dissertation and on one of my final modules I'll be borderline for a First class honors, otherwise I'll likely get a 2:1 which is still a good degree regardless:) Of course, it's put to a panel of real people, so it might swing in my favour. Here's hoping, but even so, I'd be really happy with a 2:1 :D
