  • Two days of Eating Mediterranean-inspired & South of France typical recipes for summer.
    NB: I didn't film my breakfasts as they weren't very different from my previous what I eat in a day video. And I forgot to mention when I had bread during the day.
    Simple and realistic meals. I'm showing real life, not perfect meals.

    It was lunch time for me. Made your tuna/yogurt...So delish! These 3 ingredients are staples in my pantry. Had never put them together. Thanks!

    I was in France about a month ago and ate what I wanted for 10 days! Didn't gain a pound.
    Yes, there was much walking, and per sightseeing and such, and no snacking. Food was fresh cooked and unprocessed. I am still amazed!

    I never tried mixing tuna with Greek yogurt 😮 which is healthier (usually mayonnaise for me). Thank you 🙏 for the idea!

      Hello. Yes and it tastes so much better than mayo. With the chili sauce it's perfect. If you don't have Harissa you can substitute whatever chili sauce you have on hand. Have a nice day 😊

    Love your videos. I'm curious how often you shop and how you decide which ingredients to get. Would love a video on that. For instance, do you have recipes in mind when you shop? Do you shop multiple times per week?

    • @easyfrenchdiet
      @easyfrenchdiet  Місяць тому +4

      Hello, I make a meal plan for the week on Saturday morning (and the shopping list) based on the recipes that I want to cook during the weekend and the following week. Generally, we shop on Saturday morning and I also shop once or twice during the week (in general Wednesday and Friday) to supplement with fresh produces because I like to buy produces very fresh and I also don't have a lot of space to store food. It's easy as there are a lot of stores in my street and there are also a lot of stores along the way when I walk home from work in the evening. I can indeed talk about it in a future video. Thanks for watching ☺️ Have a good evening.

    I think the previous 2 or 3 generations of French people that lived thru wwi and wwii experienced harsh food deprivation. The rationing of food I believe contributes to the mindfulness of eating smaller portions and making do with what is available. The French eat all organs of animals, plus things such as: snails, eels and frogs. Elevated French cuisine was created out of desperation eating. IMO

      Hello. Thanks for watching. Indeed I heard my parents and grandparents talking about the experience of my great grandparents and grandparents during the war. The idea of wasting food was impossible for them. Eating was something very important in their lives, and one should be grateful to have food.

    What type of bread was on the table each time? Looked so good! ❤

    • @easyfrenchdiet

      Yes I forget to mention the bread and I didn't film my breakfast either. This bread is a regular sourdough bread but stuffed with dry fruits. It's delicious. There several bakeries in my area that make it. Each bakery has its own recipe and I like them all 😊
