really cool video, and my favorite pinball table by far. The one thing you skipped over was it was originally digitized by Farsight Studios as part of "Pinball hall of fame: The Williams collection" in 2008 released for ps3 and xbox 360 (the ps2, psp & wii verstions of this collection did not include it due to hardware limitations). Farsight then rereleased it in 2012 as part of The Pinball Arcade on pretty much every system and device of the time. In 2018 Scientific Games (the owners of the williams/bally license) ripped the rights away from Farsight with almost no prior warning, Farsight had planned to renew but were not able to. Farsight was working with another company at the time called Arcooda who had planned to release digital cabinets with the entire Pinball Arcade library of 100 tables. when the license was pulled without warning Arcooda were forced to release an unfinished buggy mess so they could sell something to recover some of the money they invested. I feel really bad for anyone who bought one of those. anywho that's the missing digital story :)
I played this a lot at the local pizzeria; glad to know the women were performed by Tina Fey. Then when I was on vacation I found another pinball game I liked, Champion Pub, which has a boxing theme, but didn't go looking for it at home.
Good documentary. I only wished you would have mentioned that the table layout and gameplay is very similar to Attack From Mars, Brian Eddy's earlier table. When you are familiar with one, you also quickly find your way around the other.
What i like about your videos is the amount of detail, pictures and drawings I have never seen before. Even though I have been in the pinball community for 15+ years. The drawing showing the moving doors for bart on Cactus Canyon... never seen or heard about before your video. To do these so well and dig so deep takes time and effort. All appreciated by me. Thank you
This was my favorite in my college campus arcade back in its day. I also greatly enjoyed it on PS3 within the Williams Pinball Arcade collection, and actually managed to complete the final siege. Fun times!
@@KevinCarrington It sure is, I think it's because most people don't have any idea how complex & intricate the games can be. Every time I've brought some friends to play with me and explained the games to them, they've become obsessed. Would be awesome to try to expose the younger audience to some ballpin
I genuinely hope you keep the videos and the channel alive. Consider the following tables: Funhouse, Indiana Jones, Getaway 2, Theater of Magic, Terminator, Dracula.
This table was also available from The Pinball Arcade when they had the license to the Williams/Bally tables. I still have it in my collection of purchased tables on my Android Tablet.
@@KevinCarrington They do, but the tables aren't transferable between devices. If you purchase a table on your Android tablet, it won't show in your collection on your PC.
@@KevinCarrington - No worries. My girlfriend and I were watching your video this morning while still in bed and both flashed when we noticed it. Lol. Just did a review on my new virtual pinball machine. Still think real pinballs are better but can't beat the value of virtual pins. ua-cam.com/video/FYDoRwCYips/v-deo.html
@@KevinCarrington - I hear ya. They are getting closer all the time though with the realism. 😀 I can see the younger generation drifting more towards virtual pinballs as you can have all the tables for less money, less space and less maintenance.
IF it’s as fun as real pinball. And virtualizing hardware and physical experience isn’t always better. I think younger generations will still gravitate towards what’s more fun
Great videos, you have been added to my subscribed. I have many machines in my collect. But the two I would like to see a video on as there would be alot of content for you. Williams indiana jones pinball adventure. This game has so many toys and mini field, would love to hear if there was any toys X because of cost. Why is there the missing plastic backfield art on so many games. Second, Williams bride of pinbot and the mod game kit bride of pinbot 2.0 from Dutch pinball. You do these two games and you will be the first I give money to on patron. Keep up the good work.
Holy s***, thanks for this man. I grew up in the 90's and was surrounded by these tables as a teen when i used to go to the seafront. unfortunately i only ever played one table in my whole life as i never got pocket money. the next time i got to play any tables was on the playstation threes, Pinball Arcade which hadd near perfect replicas of a lot of the tables i saw as a kid. including this one. I'm 41 now and have yet to play a real table. but i love watcching this stuff. and you learn something new everyday. one of those things being that Dan was the *Toasty* guy from Mortal kombat that we all thought was saying *Whoopsie!* im hoping to get my 12 yr old niece into pinball at some point, and i think this is one of the tables shed enjoy.
Me personally.. Attack from Mars, medieval madness Elvira or party Masters.. And the new edition to Chicago gaming company. Cactus canyon.. It's definitely a hard choice.. ATTACK FROM MARS.. There I said it.. But really.. CHICAGO GAMING COMPANY needs to do an update on GORGAR.. if they're doing updates on Williams pinball machines.. It's definitely a game changer.
Excellent production values, please I encourage you find a steady topic to cover and your sub’s will go over 10,000 easy. Just do all pinball😎 there’s a big loyal community there.
With all this history about the game development and budget issues, you really do wonder why they decided to implement a video-mode that nobody ever plays.
But it's still so sad that Williams electronics are still being very stingy on pinball 2000 technology.. Lock it up on copyright but not doing anything to improve it.. I'm a pretty big fan of Williams electronics gaming systems including pinball or arcade machines but. I still ask what are you doing with pinball 2000? And locking it up in a vault. And not doing anything with it..

Both made by Williams. I’ve played Champions pub a handful of times. I would love to play more
Twilight zone, Indiana Jones, Elvira, the list goes on and on…. You could do videos on the companies themselves too. I love your video style!
Companies themselves is a great idea! I’ll keep this in mind

There’s not a lot of arcades that have pinball machines now and the cost of owning them is a huge barrier. I luckily have one I can swap around.
This is my fav pinball machine and always has been. I had no idea Tina did some of the voice work.
