I've been using a Nano for a year and it's still running strong. It is true that the drivers sometimes freak out but it's not a common occurence. The cable that comes with it is very bad, it's very stiff and just feels very cheap overall but it's no biggie since you can just swap it out with another cable. And yes, it's loud as hell. Would love to see the keypad caretaking video!
used mine for 6 months and it started doubletapping and even holds the keydown when im not even holding it :c pcb broken for i dont know what reason wgurgiawrgarhiuawahatg
I have to add one thing for anyone that is planning on using this keypad stuck to a mouse/desk mat (if you have an XXL or larger desk mat, like me, there isn't really any way around it): Don't buy the Nano, but the SimPad2! The Nano works, don't get me wrong, but I realized, after using it for several months, it tends to tilt forward slightly when playing more intense maps. The reason is that when stuck to a desk mat, it can pull up the mat with enough force. So, on more intense/faster maps, tapping slightly off-center on the keycaps will move the pad slightly. You don't see it but can feel it. Tapping lighter could work, but I am already trying to tap as light as possible, which doesn't help much. The SimPad2 is a bit heavier, has more surface area, and has a thicker border around the switch sockets, which gives it much more stability in this specific use case.
The reason why it is louder because it has a smaller surface area and the vibrations are directly flowed into the table and because it is smaller it tends to be less hollow thus, sounds travel faster
I bought myself a SimPad too around July, ive been using it for around 2 months now and its been working pretty well, tho rarely it seems to doubletap, but i dont know if thats actually the keypad or me just having shitty finger control, i really like how little latency it has, specially because before buying it i basically played with a really shitty $20 HP keyboard that felt really delayed at times, overall pretty damn good.
Great vid spazza! Just a quick question, would the UR bar from 9:20 onwards be an issue of polling rate delay or are you just somehow consistently not hitting near the center of the UR bar?
Why it sounds louder has all to do with the container; the Sim Pad 2 has a "container" where sound is distributed differently since it has less air to move the sound waves in. The Nano has basically full access to spread the sound waves in different directions cos it has no container around it. If this is hard to understand try and play a song from your mobile device and put it in different containers (glass, a pan) and see how it affects the perception of sound. There is more to it, but it will get too complicated for a UA-cam comment. Also, there are multiple things that can be done by the manufacturer, but there is a natural limit to how much.
I used this keypad for only 1-2 weeks, because it started doing this weird thing where it fucked up all my other usb devices (keyboards, microphone, mice, tablet) to the point where everything is unusable, sometimes even freezing my entire PC. Tried reinstalling the shi- "good" software for the keypad and it didnt do anything. Idk what the fuck happened to the one they sent me but my friend has the same one and it works flawlessly. I just didnt care enough to get in touch with them since it was a really cheap keypad and I just bought it bc it looked cool.
Problem I encountered with this simpad is the usb c connector is extremely fragile and now disconnects on me frequently - even after proper care that the connector was not under any stress. Also the included keycaps and cable are ass imo, so make so to get your own
i have a question, probaly you won't read this, i buyed a keypad, not from momokai, and i'm thinking if i switch the switches or not. The problem is that i don't know if this keypad is hot-swap (it's right "hot-swap"?) and i don't wanna run the risk of broking my keypad.... sorry if it have a grammatic (?) error :/
the reason your ring finger seems connected to the middle finger is because it actually is, it's for the same reason that 4th finger (or ring finger) exercises on piano are very important :D
idk it is just me or the usb type c cable they send are absolutely asssssss bro, it break 3 days after i received the keypad, other than that everything is pretty great. the keypad are solid, the sofware fine even though its look pretty sketchy. The good thing is once you change the setting in the sofware like keybind/lightmode, it permanently set on your keypad and you dont have to set it again when you to plugin on another devices
Good job. I tried to buy one but they are sold out. Can't make out any reason that could be the case. Anyways, i have 2 questions: What if i don't like the keypad? In terms of not being able to play as with my keyboard, because i'm so accustomed to my wrist rest which makes my hand have a really high position over the keys. I also have a table sized mouse pad, how would the keypad stick on that?
@@wham9361 There are a couple of them on Etsy but theyre lower quality (not bad tho) Its kinda weird how little recognition this playstile gets, so many big community figures play Index+Ringfinger BTMC, WhiteCat, Vaxei, Bubbleman, Karthy and the list goes on
We need a key pad made for android. Osu!lazer on a galaxy note 20ultra is only playable with relax enabled because the s-pen ignores all other screen inputs. It would be nice to play with out rx
Same but I’ve never been interested in a keypad bc I’m already comfortable with my keyboard and the typing angle. I feel like getting a keypad would just be a setback also it seems annoyingly loud.
no, have the exact same issue and it sucks but you can get a index ring variant of the pro x mini v2 but its currently suspended though should come back potentially some time soon, ring + index is superior so idk why all keypads dont follow the meta smh

The nano sounds so good wtf, even though I already have a normal simpad, might need to pick a nano up
the reason why the small one is so loud is because it has no feet so it lays flat on the table and basicly uses its as a speaker by resonating
