@@Detrucci Dragonforce and Lovebites are good friends, they did a UK tour together, Lovebites are very independent in their music, influences from other bands "yes", but their solid interpretation of different styles. So there are no better or worse bands like that, either man likes them or not, most of them who don't like lovebites have problems with the vocals, in my view one cannot praise "Asami" enough, a voice can do better don't fit at all. You picked up on the key to this song: It's positive and hopeful. It is actually a love song to Heavy Metal, and a pledge to save it from the negativity and obscurity which is devouring it. I happen to agree with them. I'm tired of angry, ugly guys screaming at me about how the world sucks. Metal is in danger of total irrelevance. But to save it you have to have more than the ambition--you have to have the talent, and these girls have talent to spare.
Great review dude! Glad you've discovered this band. I only discovered them about a month ago and I've already bought all their albums. They're a fairly new band (2016) but they've already toured the UK with DragonForce which is pretty impressive. I see you've got some good recommendations below, which I agree with, but I'll also add this one. This song is a power ballad which they performed live in Jan 2019 at their Daughters of the Dawn tour and it's called "epilogue". It's a beautiful song. hahaha ....... you´re scratching on the surface of lovebites..... look at the live stuff, you will be shocked Lovebites "daughters of the dawn - live in Tokio concert 2019", then you know exactly where you are dealing with 😎😉
Forget about Band Maid and Babymetal. Lovebites is pure madness. Dual guitar solo is in every song, and guess what, they have not even one bad song. Three albums, two DVDs, everything is top class. Since i discovered them a few months ago, i listen to their songs every day. Its that good man. Best metal band in the world right now, at least for me. Fact that they are cute girls is just a nice bonus to the whole story. You should react to some song/any song from Daughters of the Dawn LIVE or Battle in the East LIVE to see that power because seeing how they shred live is THE REAL DEAL. Welcome to Lovebites fanbase dude. Spread the love. Cheers
I have no idea what to say to that.....they look so innocent.... LMAO!!!! Detrucci"s best lines yet.. You sir were just blow out the door with the rest of those mediocre male metal band on YT !!! Now you know why these women were the 1st all female band from Japan to plat at Wacken Open Air!!! One of your best reactions, I got the sense you liked this blend of 80's power metal (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest) with Dragon Force and then the bluesy vocalist that can belt it out over that insane music explosion. Also all in high heels...called affectionately "the angry bridesmaids in high heels playing power metal", the drummer, Haruna isn't even 5' tall but she is a total beast that drives these ladies on!!!!
@@Detrucci i dont usually do this but u must know this song is insane .i tried band-maid scandal and aldios they can play but lovebites slay them all in terms of QUALITY . japanese girls can jam really well but cant write as good as men except this one.carry on .this is us.carry on.

Somehow I doubt its their lyrics your smiling at. The band is seriously lacking. This is just a vanilla Japanese idol group trying to play metal. Try waggaki band. What a let down.
"vanilla Japanese idol group trying to play metal" If you don't mind...I'll guess that you're not older than 30 yrs. These ladies push Metallica off the cliff(burton) 😉. They're up there with Iron Maiden, Helloween, Gammaray. Idol group?! Jeee...🤣
As much as i like The Wagakki Band the Lovebites ladies can match them musically. Maybe if you had bothered to see one of their live performances, you would of known that.
Once again: Can’t deny, they explicitly state they formed to write in homage to classic, thrash, power & symphonic metal from England and Europe. But they are not part of the Japanese idol industry, that is a unique thing. Yes it results in Spice Girls, but it is a blend of Menudo and Disney. This is a supergroup, Mature successful signed musicians quit other gigs to follow this bass player’s stated intent, cut a demo, then got signed and got good corporate support. BabyMetal is the Vegas show I would go see, which stars girls who are literally idols, who “graduated” into the song & dance business, spectacular once they got the money to support their huge production vision. Wagakki band is awesome, by including the traditional instruments etc. But they’re hired by the singer & flute guy, and their biggest hit is a cover of a virtual artist, a cartoon singer. It’s Japanese! It’s awesome. But it doesn’t discount these ladies, in business to get English pounds. Hell, lovebites first full gig was in London. I wish the songs I’m writing with my neighbor could debut at Sydney Opera House, or even just the pub next to it! 😉 And, try playing any of... they Goooood musicians, and their producer has an American sounding name and their post-engineering is done in Finland. Doesn’t matter much, the label is in Japan, and everybody records at home these days anyway, but the mega Corp thing is not a negative, and sounding the same is partly a style, and part homing in on their idea of the perfect song. Maybe I’m feeling a lil defensive, and not everybody likes opera, prog, classical, whatever. So I don’t expect everyone would listen to this long deep-cut and notice references to Rachmaninov’s 2nd piano concerto, as well as self referencing their own song Hammer of Wrath (which in turn references a classic Arabic theme) Or enjoy the heavy lyrics about hope in the face of the Hiroshima bomb, or the chorale ending. Not everyone I spose, all good... but it just doesn’t qualify as disposable art to me. I reiterate, imagine trying to write or play it... “Under the Red Sky” live (audio only, from DVD Daughters of the Dawn, recorded Jan2019 Tokyo) ua-cam.com/video/Tsa4fcnRJ9E/v-deo.html
This has got to be one of the most pathetic attempts of trolling i have ever seen. An idol goup? You obviously don't have a clue what an idol group actually is. And what exactly is lacking? Technical skill? Songwriting ability? Vocal talent? What is vanilla about them? Some of their songs are pure Thrash Metal. Or are you one of those people who think that everything that doesnt sound like Napalm Death's first album is too soft (not that there is anything wrong with Napalm Death, i love me some Grindcore once in a while)? Fine, you don't like their music but I have no clue why you are even mentioning Wagakki band (that's how it's spelled, by the way), they don't even play the same sort of music as Lovebites. Lovebites aren't trying to make folk-metal. You might as well be comparing Eluveitie with DragonForce. Seriously, your comment make "Trve Kvlt" black metal fans seem like pefectly sane and reasonable people in comparison.

Lovebites is a really perfect band: Haruna on the drums 4.9 "precise steam engine - Miyako and Midori two top guitarists at eye level who complement each other at any time (without who is better or worse) - Miho the boss on bass, sometimes a bit inconspicuous, but the The linchpin of the band, they are all very pretty self-confident women, properly dressed, which I find rather unusual but very pleasant, they are just great in all respects (everyone should do what they want) blah blah blah ....... ...... 😌😁
Add unlucky morpheus, galneryus and Versailles to your reactions.... they are all amazings.
Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/QgKIoz88-8A/v-deo.html
wellll you could give shadowmaker a try if you whant to see Midori and Miyako (guitar players) shredding like beasts...
Shadowmaker eh, sounds mysterious :)
Great reaction. You should react to Angel of Salvation live by Galneryus another Japaneseband. 🤟🇦🇺
Or some steampunk metal: Fategear -Scars In My Life ua-cam.com/video/Q-3z7JK-HyI/v-deo.html Headless Goddess is good, too ua-cam.com/video/tLQbsoKQN-0/v-deo.html
dude, have you ever heard of Unlucky Morpheus? if not, try their song Black Pentagram live, you'll be amazed
Band Maid and Lovebites are my favorites.Po! Who would want to be the band to follow either one of them on stage? Anyway, you may want to check out Nemophila "Oiran" ua-cam.com/video/eyb2NtPwcxc/v-deo.html. One of the guitarists is Saki from Mary's Blood. There is also a Chucky Shirt.
React to: ¨Thunder Vengeance¨, ¨Holy War¨, ¨Swan Song¨, ¨Empy Daydream¨ from new album ¨Electric Pentagram¨.
I ❤️ Lovebites dude shadow maker 🤘🏻🎸
hahaha ....... you´re scratching on the surface of lovebites.....
look at the live stuff, you will be shocked Lovebites "daughters of the dawn - live in Tokio concert 2019",
then you know exactly where you are dealing with 😎😉
You should see the look in your face. Great reaction sir .you should try holywar live at tokyo and Glory to the world
Forget about Band Maid and Babymetal.
BOOM 💥
mate i gave this song 9.99/10
Almost perfect score :)
@@Detrucci i dont usually do this but u must know this song is insane .i tried band-maid scandal and aldios they can play but lovebites slay them all in terms of QUALITY . japanese girls can jam really well but cant write as good as men except this one.carry on .this is us.carry on.
もあもあ〜(*´∀`)♪❤

Unlucky Morpheus should be right up your alley: ua-cam.com/video/V8i_QhOgsKw/v-deo.html

Bridear, Unlucky Morpheus, Doll$boxx, Band-maid (I think you mentioned two) but just to get you started ua-cam.com/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/v-deo.html
Somehow I doubt its their lyrics your smiling at. The band is seriously lacking. This is just a vanilla Japanese idol group trying to play metal. Try waggaki band. What a let down.
"vanilla Japanese idol group trying to play metal"
If you don't mind...I'll guess that you're not older than 30 yrs.
Once again:
Can’t deny, they explicitly state they formed to write in homage to classic, thrash, power & symphonic metal from England and Europe. 😉
And, try playing any of... they Goooood musicians, and their producer has an American sounding name and their post-engineering is done in Finland.
“Under the Red Sky” live (audio only, from DVD Daughters of the Dawn, recorded Jan2019 Tokyo)

I have no idea what japanese idol is so I cant compare :) But the lyrics here are good. Nice and positive, Maybe motivational for people who need it.
