13:50 Where is that? It is a place called "Byōbugaura" (屏風ヶ浦) in the Chiba Prefecture. The shoreline cliffs has also the nickname: "The Dover of the Orient".
Miyako....Midori....and the beast Haruna! "It should be criminal that they're allowed to be in the same band together" Love that comment, but I don't mind them being in the same band :)
Miyako, the guitarist, is also a classical piano player. At the concert I play the guitar and keyboard. She composes a large percentage of Lovebites songs.
Lovebites is a favorite of mine. I followed Miho and Haruna in their former band, Destrose, so seeing them get the recognition that seemed to always be just out of reach with that band is extremely gratifying. I'm very happy for them, and really appreciate your genuine reaction with analysis. That's what I'm here for, not over-the-top camera mugging, so thank you for that. Cheers.
On the new Lovebites record Electric Pentagram, Asamis is voice is incredible. She has really grown as a vocalist over the last year. I had the pleasure of seeing them live last year as support to dragonforce, and they sound blooming fantastic live.
Great reaction yet again! Their live performances are really good, which brings me to Epilogue, their ballad which is epic in my humble opinion. Midori - Yngwie Malmsteen, Miyako - Gary Moore. And kudos for pointing out the bassist Miho, she is phenomenal as well. I am hoping they will let her have a moment here and there like Misa from Band Maid has or Tomomi from Scandal. I call Haruna the energizer bunny.
I discovered Lovebites watching your reaction videos and thank you so much for introducing me to them! My favorite band now, all the songs are wonderful, a fantastic band !!! Hoping that one day you will react again to another Lovebites video.
Ohhh man, Lovebites are having a viewing party for their upcoming live DVD right now and it's an absolutely amazing show! I hope some of the videos are uploaded before long.
I'm so glad you gave kudos to Miho, the bassist. She is the founder and glue of the band (I think of Haruna as the heart, Miho as the soul). One thing about these Japanese bands (and there are many more) is the extremely strong back lines, as you saw with Band-Maid. Miyako (the guitarist audience left) also does the keyboards, and composes most of their songs.
ER.... Japan has sea cliffs you know! lol. Shout out for commenting on Miho's bass playing. She is, as you remarked, frequently overlooked in the shadow of Miyako and Miodori's virtuosity but she is the band's founder, leader and the glue that holds the whole thing together. Now doubtless you will be inundated with requests for other songs. Somebody is bound to ask you to react to their last single "When Destinies Align" and it's a very good song. I worry however that you might start to think of them as a bit of a one trick pony.... all high octane power metal, thunderous double bass kicks, gloriously over the top vocals, non stop speed and blistering dual guitar solos. For that reason I would like to recommend that you take a look at somethjing a little different by them. The song Epilogue is an epic power ballad which really showcases their musical veratility with, at various points, acoustic guitar duets, beautiful piano playing, gorgeous dual lead guitar solos, haunting bass lines and soaring vocals from Asami who really gets to shine on this song. There used to be a live version of high quality of this song on UA-cam but I can't find it for the moment so perhaps it has been taken down. In any case you really should listen to it.
@@DMiyash248 Yeah I think a large part of Versailles and Jupiter fans has mistaken Hizaki for a girl. It's a good stage image, because when he does dress like a male almost no-one recognizes him. I see it like just a reverse of Lordi, Slipknot, Ghost etc. But the guitar work Hizaki does in Versailles is really great, Teru is great to but he focus more on speed than feel. However Jupiter I don't think is as unique as Versailles, because it's more or less just powermetal.
@@Zandman26 yeah, did some research and apparently it was cultural thing for that time period that females were not allowed to act on stage, hence positions were played by males, hence Hizaki's costume is just keeping authenticity. (not sure if was French or Japanese culture)
Thanks for the great reaction, nice to hear from someone who knows what they’re talking about rather than someone who just jumps up and down screaming. I’m a sucker for Japanese metal/rock so keep up the good work.
This was the song that introduced me to Lovebites; I was lovebitten immediately. Yes, Asami's voice and style are different, but they grow on you quickly. I can't picture this band with any other singer
Lovebites, Band Maid, Babymetal - something in the water in Japan too! Hearing some Unleash the Archers and Dragon Force. The where? I'm not sure but it looks like the Great Ocean Road - Victoria or somewhere on the Great Australian Bight between South Australia and Western Australia.
Considering crazy good japanese female guitarists i would like to recommend to you the ever busy Saki and her Band Mary‘s Blood. Mary‘s Blood is one of the first protagonists of the recent japanese female metal scene, active since 2009. Coincidently their singer Eye and drummer Mari were predecessors of Miho and Haruna in their previous band Destrose. They play Power Metal with a little more Hard Rock flavor. And while you are at it also check out Sakis side project Nemophila. It was founded just last year by Saki and fellow veterans of the japanese female metal scene. They do not have that much original stuff yet, but some great live studio recordings on UA-cam that are just a joy to watch.
They did name themselves after the Halestorm song. When they added singer Asami as the last piece, they had to train her on the style, she’d come from soul, R&B and straight rock. So they had her listen to extreme pieces like Judas Priest‘s Painkiller, and tried to cover powerful women like Lzzy Hale, and it worked so well, hence the name, and Asami has twice joined Halestorm on stage. Miyako quickly became a leading composer within the band, and has been open that until the end of high school she wanted to be a classical pianist. She’s just on the edge of being a pro in that world, but switched to guitar at 18 (2008, only a few years before joining established pros in signed bands). Tech wizard Midori didn’t start until she was 20! (approx same age? not sure. She switched from Pharmacology university I just heard?!), but she did go thru ESP’s formal Musical Institute program. Miyako claims Rising’s breakdown as a nod to Chopin, and a pair of songs from the 2018 EP as competition between her and contributor Mao to write a song based off a theme in Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto 2 (which Eric Carmen also did with “All By Myself”) They have “1.5” ballads, around 4 songs that are “regular rock”, and a set of songs that are more thrash, but less symphonic, so there is some (metal) variety. Crusade (Maiden), Don’t Bite the Dust (rock), When Destinies Align (quintessential a la Rising, ShadowMaker), and Golden Destination have official PV/MVs. Live thrash tracks like Hammer of Wrath or Break the Wall are great. (A popular Bloodstock Festival set has bad sound tho.) And Asami’s power ballad Epilogue is great live. Notable: the non metal intro to Empty Daydream, and piano and electric guit at same time on Burden of Time. But I’ll go with the piped-in epic choir on the part II song re the nuclear bombings, a masterful lesson in how to use (Mao’s Rachmaninov inspired) music to jerk you from horror to hope ... Under the Red Sky live ua-cam.com/video/KChT0QfuhKE/v-deo.html You can bail around 6:10, it was the set closer from their Jan 2020 show on Daughters of the Dawn DVD. I’d forgotten how much they let Midori run wild on this, nonstop shred!. And turn on the English subtitles, Asami’s words (probably with help from an English coach) go with the music. Forgot to mention, like some classic (and classical) albums, they are self referential (BandMaid does it with lyrics btw, often the hook in one song is the title of another). On the third/blue album Asami’s ballad ends with guitars doing a variant of the albums opening riff. And Under the Red Sky has a synth/string breakdown with a middleEastern theme that was central to their first ever track Hammer of Wrath... now ya know 😉
Miyako is a keyboard player, who properly did the synth work at the start. She is really a piano player, she started playing at 3 and only picked up the guitar, for the 1st time when she was 18 (now 30).
the amazing thing about the 2 guitarists is, I saw footage of them on stage jamming with arootsy southern rock band in the US, and the girls fitted their playing , kinda called for in that style . Went over well with live audience. So versatile and educated these 2 girls are. anyone know where i saw that, was a few weeks back i found it on you tube. Must be a band they toured with.maybe.
They have got consistently better over the space of three albums, starting from "very good". Electric Pentagram doesn't have a duff track on it, in my opinion. I don't see quality being a problem for the future, given the level of Miyako's songwriting at the moment.
I have this band playing just about on repeat at the moment haha. Just alternating between their albums and I very happily listen to them right through multiple times over while at work. Oddly, I can't quite get into the second half of their second album, but Awakening from Abyss and Electric Pentagram (and the first half of Clockwork Immortality) are phenomenal.
Songs to react to: 1. "Shoemaker" by Nightwish. As a side note, their entire new album is worth reacting to if you ever felt inclined to do so. I know that you plan on doing "The Poet and Pendulum" soon as well. In any event, always looking forward to more Nightwish reactions. 2. "Blooming" by BAND-MAID. This is easily their best song in my opinion (then again, all of their songs are bangers). 3. "Cleanse the Bloodlines" by Unleash the Archers. Been a minute since you checked these guys out. 4. "Consign to Oblivion - Live at the Zenith Official Video" by Epica. Epica is similar to Nightwish, but heavier in various ways. They are a Dutch band and to my knowledge, the most successful Dutch metal act in the world. 5. "Bismarck" by Sabaton. Sabaton are a Swedish power metal band and nearly all of their songs focus on military history. The song suggested here is about the Bismarck, one of the largest German battleships ever created. 6. "365" by Amaranthe. The band name is pronounced Am-UH-ranth; the "e" on the end is silent. A very unique metal band from Sweden and if you check out the song, you'll see why, hehe. 7. "Nighttaker" by The Unguided. They are a metalcore band from Sweden that does not get enough love and attention. I feel like they are very good, but so underrated. 8. "And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope" by Ne Obliviscaris. The band name is pronounced Nay Oh-bliv-EE-scar-iss. They are a progressive death metal band from Australia. This song in particular was lauded for its composition and used as a tutoring aide by a famous Australian music academy. You will have SO MUCH fun picking out the composition in this one and in nearly all of their songs because they are masters at their craft. Thanks for the detailed and broken down videos man. They are super engaging to watch, even for songs or bands I'm not super into just because of how well you go into detail regarding the instrumentation and musical skill. Looking foward to the next one!
Hello from Japan! I have seen many of your reactions, they are very well done. Please react to GALNERYUS - NEW LEGEND[OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO], very good stuff if you like Japanese metal. They like to show off talent but a very solid band in a similar style. I would like to hear your breakdown on them! Keep up the good work :)
On the singing thing, and I'm probably way of here, but I think over the top vibrato is a thing in Japanese traditional singing. Her also singing in English probably makes it sound a bit to weird to some people, it took me some time to get into it. Interesting you liked this one more, It's from their second album, which I (and I now some others) think is slightly weaker than their first and third albums. But the solos are great either way, to me it's the composition of them that's impressive, they aren't boring despite running for over a minute in most songs.
one of the reasons i really love the slow downs in the middle of some of their songs is that you just know you are about to be assaulted with another twin solo afterward. it's the anticipation for me and i love asami's voice. could say the same about her also! you need to see this video when they were with dragonforce and herman li comes on stage in drag as a lovebites member. worth a watch:ua-cam.com/video/mWVwdGi9ixI/v-deo.html
Their ballad, "Epilogue" is still online... without video though. It can be found from their album, with time stamp 46 minutes 14 seconds: ua-cam.com/video/ZQxcQ--VsYc/v-deo.htmlm14s
I'm a big power metal fan and you can see that she has a great voice, the only issue I think she has is she doesnt annunciate especially well at times, which has a big effect, most likely its due to not being a native English speaker though.
Love watching your reactions, especially since they're more technical rather than just a "yeah this is good". Can I suggest either 'Intimate Alien' by Ocean Grove or 'Primrose' by Dream State?
The only problem I have with this band is that I'm always just waiting for the solos. The rest of the song is in no way bad but the solos just outshine everything else. They are not just fast and technical but also legitimately sound good with interesting melodies.
that's happen because you don't feels the lyrics.. if you feels the lyrics, then you will understand how good their vocalist, Asami-san.. Even though Lovebites known by their uplifting lyrics on most of every song.. but some have a really deep lyrics, for example “Edge of the World”
@@hachikuji_mayoi then what your pleasure about enjoying music? did you only enjoying instrumental things? then, listen to *Infant Annihilator* with their instrumental fucking album
@@dragulia_venaro I listen to vocals even if I pay zero attention to the lyrical contents and I also pay attention to the instrumental behind it. I don't like how this band's vocalist sounds and overall the instrumental in most of their songs is a bit boring except for the guitar solos where they have real good taste. I just don't think the lyrical content changes the listening experience at all. If the song cannot make me feel things without looking at the lyrics I don't really like it.
Here is the introduction of Asami by Lzzy of Halestorm telling the audience the connection of Lovebites band name and their song of the same name. They also duet the song. ua-cam.com/video/MMsOHLOPJxM/v-deo.html Here is a pro shot live version of "Shadowmaker" from Bloodstock 2018. ua-cam.com/video/xYdJHaqy_JM/v-deo.html Your analysis of "Rising" makes listening to the song more interesting for me at least. Asami is very talented as a vocalist. The slower part with piano is the best and her higher range as well. I just feel her voice has a flatness to it in the mid range.
Chase, I love the insights on your reactions. Please could you react to Lovebites "The Crusade". The whole song structure reminds me of classic Iron Maiden.
The Crusade is explicitly an Iron Maiden tribute song, modeled after "Aces High". FYI I played them back to back, and the girls are actually cleaner on the guitars.
@@ChaseCarneson if you do the crusade next. Make sure you select the correct video for it. There is "youtube" version of it, and it has commercials and the song cuts short. This is the correct music video link: ua-cam.com/video/ueKyQ4xI-mY/v-deo.html
Another great reaction and the reason I sub this channel, thoughtful, insightful and informative. I really like Lovebites for the power and technical abilities (have all three of their albums), but I generally listen to their songs inter-spaced with other bands to provide breathing room for the ears. I think from a song writing perspective Band-Maid and Babymetal are better, but I still love the energy of Lovebites. As for Asami's vocals I think it fits very well with the type of music they're playing, she has a very powerful voice and wide range and the use of vibrato just adds a bit of emotion to each song. Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus has some of the same characteristics (but different) and her voice adds to the overall quality of the music. When listening to Japanese bands, I don't understand the language and the voice is just another instrument to my ears and just adds something special. Galneryus is another power metal band male) that has excellent musicians, I recommend their live version of Angle Of Salvation - it's a bit long (16 minutes) but well worth the time - ua-cam.com/video/uo10HFEfRo4/v-deo.html

kazu kazu Thank you. It is beautiful. I even wondered about Dover, England, but Dover cliffs are even more white (and slightly longer 13k vs 10, and approximately twice as tall at their respective peaks 110m vs 60)
G'day. Another great reaction. I'm so glad you mentioned the bass player, have you reacted to Iron Maiden live? You will see her inspiration Steve Harris in action,The Clansman from Rock in Rio or Fear of the Dark are good ones to start with. 🤘🇦🇺
Heck yes, keen to see your react to Halestorm! Love Bites (And So Do I) is such a good song of theirs... The whole album is fantastic actually This was an interesting song, not my usual thing, but I don't mind it :)
Not sure where the best live video is of Lovebites but this one seems decent. ua-cam.com/video/MXQ0PjOKmHw/v-deo.htmlm42s The only question is how long this link gonna stay good for :)
Could you do a reaction to "Empty Daydreams" as well from Lovebites? I really enjoyed that one a lot! You'll see/hear their full talent ^^ Even Asami's voice is on a whole nother level 😱❤
If you like Hearing awsome J-Rock/Metal you should try Aldious: We Are and if you like hearing awsome young talents you should try ASTERISM: Rising Moon to they are a instrumental Band. cheerz
Great reaction again bro! I think you really need to check out their live performance of "epilogue". They performed it in Japan 2019 during their daughters of the dawn tour and it's a beautiful power ballad. It shows a different and even more professional side of them. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/QgKIoz88-8A/v-deo.html
While this isn't my favourite Lovebites song and I prefer the full-on intensity of them at top speed, this is still a really good video and certainly a different side to them. Well worth a watch. However, it seems to have been made private now which makes it difficult...
@@PaulEMoz Well damn. I've been trying to get somebody to react to this for months and now its too late. I love their heavy thrashy stuff too but this song was just beautiful.
If you want their DVDs let me know dude. I have all four of them. And i can send links to your e-mail if you want to dive deeper into their music-its definitely worth it. They shred live really good. Best metal band today-total madness.
Sadly not so many official videos but Live stuff, not a bad thing but not often with good quality, i'm sure that there is people here better than me that can suggest the good ones :D And yes, you are not the only one thinking " i need to go back doing some more practice" with girls like the ones on Lovebites and Bandmaid, and as a confirm that little girls kill the drums then try Junna with a drum cover of Dragonforce song, the official drummer approved her too :D ua-cam.com/video/UKr1H4Jv6is/v-deo.html
And i suggest again (if i haven't done before)a young monsters trio called Asterism, no lyrics but pure hard rock, they 18 years old now but started like 5 years ago if i'm not wrong ua-cam.com/video/IfxMi0Bx4x0/v-deo.html Damn, i think that HAL-CA got the blood of Satriani, Malmsteen and Van Hallen in her body, she got an incredible energy live :D
I understand it might mess with how you like your screen+inset laid out, but it might be interesting to have a second inset that appears occasionally showing various things you discuss. It could be a lyric you find interesting, or something else specific to the comments you're making. You might consider shooting some B-roll close-ups of the techniques you've already talked about just to have "in the can" if it comes up again, along with other techniques you think of. For example, in this one you discuss palm muting. I understand the concept, but I don't play guitar so I can't really directly visualize it. Could I look up a video? Sure, and have, but was just thinking it would be a cool thing to show as the video is paused and you're talking. Also thought it might be a differentiator for your channel. Just a thought, I'll be around regardless, which ... I realize could be taken as a threat. YMMV. ;-)
This would be a really good one for you to react to, if it stays up long enough. It's Break The Wall, from their Daughters of the Dawn official live release. They're just amazing. ua-cam.com/video/YKjM4W9qpgQ/v-deo.html
Bridear is a band I like hear your technical feedback on.This version of the band is from 2015 and is considered the best lineup. "Light in the Dark" is some great thrash metal with a mix of clean and harsh vocals. They have been around nearly 10 years, however have had a few personnel changes over the years. ua-cam.com/video/UxSrOqAxaKw/v-deo.html
Thanks for good reaction, thumbed up. It is so good to see someone appreciate the technical parts. Understand that its not only about speed. Unfortunately Epilogue live has been removed from youtube, but there is still Wacken 2018 concert. Just make sure you will NOT react to bloodstock concert, as quality and even performance are not good at all. If you want something between live and studio, before you dive into actual live show. There is official music video which has clips of their live performance, studio action and touring. Song called Crusade, which also shows a little more like old metallica/iron maiden/Judas Priest type of song, rather than powermetal song. Here is music video link: ua-cam.com/video/ueKyQ4xI-mY/v-deo.html How ever Crusade is great live as well in wacken concert. If you want something very "trashy" metal with Gary Moore-like solo. Here is great live song "Break the wall" : ua-cam.com/video/YKjM4W9qpgQ/v-deo.html
I really don't see anything wrong with the singer, Asami, except her thick japanese accent. Only true greats are out of her league as far as metal cleans and she can still improve. A thick (italian) accent is probably the reason Fabio Lione doesn't get the recogntion he deserves, even though he was the first that could do all types of vocals well (operatic, clean, black metal screech). At least that's my view.
She's worked well with her English diction, having lived in America. Midori also speaks good English. Miho is quite good, but I haven't heard Haruna or Miyako speak English yet.
Hey, Chase.. for the second time you "need to go and practice " after a Lovebites video. I hope you did it, 'cause if you didn't... I guess you will need a literal kick in the butt towards the rehearsal room, lol Great reaction as usual.
@@ChaseCarneson Right? 😂 You are lucky that we're not in the same country and town, cause I'm looking for a second guitarist for my band (also my kick is pretty strong). Btw please, react to Kamelot - Forever 🙂 (that will give you additional push).
For being Lovebites, this is a pop song! A bit too polished for my taste and maybe for bigger audience than most of their grinding songs. Still its a very good song. So one of my least favorite is very good. Imagine what I think about the other ones.. ;) I am totally addicted to Lovebites
As a guitarist could you react to Tina s doing Moonlight Sonata? I'm a non guitarist and incredibly impressed but I'm sure you can drop knowledge bombs for us 😀
Pretty nuts to now know that Midori has no formal training, she is entirely self taught and started at the age of 20. that is nuts... I can't believe how amazing this band is...
Would love to see what you think about Ningen Isu, the grandfathers of Japanese metal, who after 30 years as a band are actually more popular now than they have ever been. Ningen Isu - Heartless Scat ua-cam.com/video/CbI79e5iZKs/v-deo.html
The real LOVEBITES's fans will never judging Asami's voice no matter happening.. They just fans of guitar solo and probably not a Lovebites fans, so I wouldn't call them Lovebites's fans.. I love it, thanks for the reaction, man!
singer can easily sing for band maid, scandal, etc. But not many Japanese can sing for Lovebites. Everyone will shut up if Jrock/Jmetal band sing in Japanese just like a groups band maid and babymetal.
I absolutely love her vocal style. It fits the genre so well. She has fabulous range and her voice is very powerful. Cannot imagine her doing any other style of music.
Asami, Lovebite's vocalist, comes from a Soul/R&B background, this is her 1st gig as lead singer and in a metal band. She has gotten to sing "Love Bites (So Do I)" with Lzzy Hale and Halestorm at Download festivals in Japan and the UK. It is really fun to see (used to be vids on UA-cam). Lzzy and Halestorm all tower over Asami. One of the reasons they've given for wearing white is so they can be seen, since they are all close to 5 feet in height. I second the recommendation for Nemophila and Mary's Blood. Destrose was an amazing band which had several changes in personnel. Not only does Mary's Blood and Lovebites have Destrose alumni, so does Fate Gear, Mardelas, Disqualia, and a few other bands.
The setting is in Taiwan. I consider it an act of courage that Dragonforce actually allowed these girls to open for them. If there's any justice, Lovebites will be headlining before long.
If you want to see something really silly here is Dragonforce and Lovebites together on stage playing ... the Farming Simulator game theme song. ua-cam.com/video/DvMQr1xkx9Q/v-deo.html Sam Totman and Herman Li also played on the album version of Babymetal's Road of Resistance which they helped write. Dragonforce was an early ally of Babymetal among the more traditional metal bands.
Then play a live songlike holy war! Their are plenty. You want different, play Empty Daydreams live in Tokyo 2019. When you get off of Nightwish's jock!! 🥱 After months you don't really them them live.🤦♂️
I tried it again, but I really don't like the singing, sorry. Amazing musicians, but not the vocals. I even do not hear if she sings in Japanese or in English. Nope, not for me.
I don't like her voice, she either has a horrible warble to her voice or she trying to do vibrato on every damn note. Either way it's very off putting.
Interesting how different people hear things in different ways. I have a hard time finding new bands to listen to because I'm very, very picky about the vocals, but I really like Asami's and feel that they're a perfect fit for the band. Some of her live performances sound even better than the records. Each to their own, though.
I can definitely understand people not getting the vocal style, but as a child of the 80s, this is such a sweet sound in my ears. LOL

Absolutely! Versailles and/or Galneryus. Syu is a beast!
Thanks for the great reaction, nice to hear from someone who knows what they’re talking about rather than someone who just jumps up and down screaming. I’m a sucker for Japanese metal/rock so keep up the good work.
Appreciate that. Lots more coming soon.
Yeah,,,, Destrose have so many talented members...
Miyako claims Rising’s breakdown as a nod to Chopin, and a pair of songs from the 2018 EP as competition between her and contributor Mao to write a song based off a theme in Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto 2 (which Eric Carmen also did with “All By Myself”)
They have “1.5” ballads, around 4 songs that are “regular rock”, and a set of songs that are more thrash, but less symphonic, so there is some (metal) variety.
Under the Red Sky live ua-cam.com/video/KChT0QfuhKE/v-deo.html
You can bail around 6:10, it was the set closer from their Jan 2020 show on Daughters of the Dawn DVD.
Love that 80's powermetal sound. Love it.

Very good analysis, i am more on the technique, its beautiful
Thank you for that!
"You can choose not to lose". Epic lyric
You have to react to: LOVEBITES - We The United - Live In Tokio 2019
To ppl disagreeing with the voice, i understand where you are coming from, but its also the style of hair metal so its akin to Iron Maiden
Songs to react to:
Don't worry we're working our way through it all!!!
Next react to Galneryus - Angel of salvation live, another great power metal band from japan
Yes!
Nice one, thank you for the support. Will give it a look 🇯🇵
I agree Galneryus is kickass progressive power metal, also try Unlucky Morpheus, and Jupiter
Yeah that could be a thing. Still have a long way to go with this band. Can't wait.
one of the reasons i really love the slow downs in the middle of some of their songs is that you just know you are about to be assaulted with another twin solo afterward. it's the anticipation for me and i love asami's voice. could say the same about her also! you need to see this video when they were with dragonforce and herman li comes on stage in drag as a lovebites member. worth a watch:ua-cam.com/video/mWVwdGi9ixI/v-deo.html
Their ballad, "Epilogue" is still online... without video though. It can be found from their album, with time stamp 46 minutes 14 seconds: ua-cam.com/video/ZQxcQ--VsYc/v-deo.htmlm14s
Check out "Holy War" from them (Live)
And yes I agree that Miyako and Midori together is criminal 🤣
They were practising Social Distancing before it was A Thing. 🤘❤️
😂👌
I'm a big power metal fan and you can see that she has a great voice, the only issue I think she has is she doesnt annunciate especially well at times, which has a big effect, most likely its due to not being a native English speaker though.
Love watching your reactions, especially since they're more technical rather than just a "yeah this is good". Can I suggest either 'Intimate Alien' by Ocean Grove or 'Primrose' by Dream State?
Nice one, Keegan. Funny you mention that. I actually have some Dream State coming soon. But I'll take a look at those as well.
@@ChaseCarneson Ooh, I'll be keeping a lookout. I'd also love to see reactions in the future to anything by Annisokay--Good Stories is a great song.
Never head of lovebites before but I for one fully support dragonforce but with cute girls
Even though Lovebites known by their uplifting lyrics on most of every song..
but some have a really deep lyrics, for example “Edge of the World”

then, listen to *Infant Annihilator* with their instrumental fucking album
@@dragulia_venaro I listen to vocals even if I pay zero attention to the lyrical contents and I also pay attention to the instrumental behind it. I don't like how this band's vocalist sounds and overall the instrumental in most of their songs is a bit boring except for the guitar solos where they have real good taste.
I just don't think the lyrical content changes the listening experience at all. If the song cannot make me feel things without looking at the lyrics I don't really like it.
@@hachikuji_mayoi Boring instrumental? Hard disagree.
Hi Chase ! This song gave me some old Helloween-"Eagle fly free" vibes ! These girls are Good though !!!
Here is the introduction of Asami by Lzzy of Halestorm telling the audience the connection of Lovebites band name and their song of the same name. They also duet the song. ua-cam.com/video/MMsOHLOPJxM/v-deo.html
Here is a pro shot live version of "Shadowmaker" from Bloodstock 2018. ua-cam.com/video/xYdJHaqy_JM/v-deo.html
Your analysis of "Rising" makes listening to the song more interesting for me at least.
@@hiawatha.g I didn't know that. Cheers H.G.
ABSOLUTELY!!! Thanks for the recommendation.

I really appreciate that. Thanks for the comment and recommendation. Will see where I can slot it in the plan.

YMMV. ;-)
Very good suggestion and actually something I have thought about. I am actually changing my setup very soon so will think of a way to add that in.
Asami must have a great hair day on the day of filming the music video lol.

Daughters of the Dawn live in Tokyo is something you need to check out. There is a ballad on there called "Epilogue" which is phenomenal.
Personally, love the vocals.
They are indeed like super heroes.
The setting is in Taiwan. I consider it an act of courage that Dragonforce actually allowed these girls to open for them. If there's any justice, Lovebites will be headlining before long.
With DragonForce opening for them. 😉 I don't think it's courage - having worked with BabyMetal, Herman Li knows quality when he hears and sees it.
