Lovebites is very good live, they have formal music training, one of the guitarists, Miyako, is a classical pianist. In the middle of one of their live shows she played a Chopin etude on a baby grand. You speak of Japanese animation "anime". Band-Maid has a song "Glory" which is the closing credits for an anime TV show. And the opening credits song "Bubble" for a live-action show. By the way, there is a Filipina singer , Beverly Caimen, who is a pop singer in Japan. Salamat po.
For a short time there was the live version of this song from the "Five of a kind, live in Tokyo 2020" DVD on UA-cam, not authorized by Lovebites, so it was removed. But, the question was: can they play the solos live as fast and powerful like they do here. And the answer is: yes, because Lovebites is a great live band. Another song with long dual guitar solo is "We the united" from the same DVD, still on UA-cam.
This song is epic. Recommended Lovebites live performances: Shadowmaker (Wacken), Break the wall, Edge of the world (so epic song, no quality video available yet, just the audio from Tokyo 2019 concert), Epilogue, Empty Daydream (both Tokyo 2019), The hammer of wrath (Wacken)
Check out Break The Wall if you want a live performance from Lovebites. That song is a bit heavier than this one (Break The Wall is thrash metal, When Destinies Align is power metal).
I've seen them live - awesome stuff. Why the amazement at women being good musicians ? No-one is surprised at women playing classical music or jazz at the highest level for example. There are professionally produced DVDs of a couple of their concerts, but if any tracks from them appear on UA-cam they get taken down pretty quickly. What's left are a variety of fancam videos which struggle to capture the sound properly - mobile phones can't cope with the volume, the drums often drown out everything else.
Very good group! You may want to consider another all female group from Mexico known as The Warning. They are three sisters and they are all very young. Their current ages are 20, 18, and 15. Check them out. You will not be disappointed.
There aren't many professionally shot Lovebites live videos available, which is unfortunate as that means the sound quality often isn't good. However, they have a new live video coming out soon and someone has one of the songs from it on UA-cam, so maybe you could watch this one. It's called Swan Song, and it's here: ua-cam.com/video/QUGCQ1FTB0g/v-deo.html. There's another one here called Break The Wall, which is a much heavier song: ua-cam.com/video/YKjM4W9qpgQ/v-deo.html.
The intro was to show us what they are capable of....LMAO, WAIT you have no idea what is coming from these power metal female musicians!!!! What a great reaction and YES Japanese women can play the guitar even better than most of the all male bands out there. There is real talent but a lot of training and practice as they are relentless competing against one another, Band Maid, Lovebites, Mary's Blood, DollBoxx, and most of them descend from the great female band Dextrose!!!!
Love your reaction. I can tell they were playing because of the hand placement on the necks and the tones and notes coming out. I've been following Rock since 1980 and Heavy Metal since 1982 and playing guitar since 1983. This is the most extraordinary band I have heard. This is a thread stuck in CPU reboot brain experience. There is so much going on and I love it.
There's so many kinds of metal music, "power metal" is the sub-genre that's supposed to be powerful, uplifting, positive... lyrics often about overcoming obstacles, taking ones faith into your own hands or riding to battle for victory or what not :D Some people say that power metal is metal's "pop-genre" but it's just haters speaking :) These ladies are really good role models for anyone. :) You'll love their Tokyo 2020 version of "Holy war" (with lyrics of course) it'll melt your face ;D
A couple of weeks ago i joined their livestream of the release of their most recent live album. These girls are fantastic live! ua-cam.com/video/tE51weGRu4s/v-deo.html Also... you are in a way right: it's a new band. They were formed in 2016(?) by the bassist (Miho), who brought with her the little drummer Haruna on 149cm from her previous band Destrose (the star on the drumkit is from there). Midori on the black ESP was next, then Asami who had her background from RnB. Miyako on the Deans was brought in to assist them live, but proved to be an asset for the band with her skills on the guitar and keyboard.
There is no question that these Lovebites Ladies are technically good musicians and have their scales and noodling techniques dialed in. But if you look past the novelty of them being young women performing aggressive music and their obvious impressive musical chops you will find ordinary songwriting. I would place them style-wise in the same category of the likes of Armored Saint, Helloween, Savatage basically good second tiered 80 metal bands. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying they do not possess mad skills and are talented musicians and I'm just like everyone it is impressive to see noodling guitar solos but unlike Konami of Band-Maid who posses equal technical skills and does a fine job of noodling herself she also possesses the "IT FACTOR" and SOUL. She tastefully selects her use of notes in crafting her guitar parts to mesh with the other instrumentation which provides not only a sonically stirring tune but a memorable one as well. I feel she is like a true artistic musical craftsman who chooses your notes wisely. When it comes to art it is important to convey and invoke emotion through the medium of that art and I feel Band-Maid does and I'm afraid lacks within Lovebites. I find that overall Band-Maid to be much better songwriters and have developed a unique signature sound that is distinctly their own. You would be hard-pressed to find a bad Band-Maid tune which I believe it is not possible,
Wow! Nice reaction! Unfortunately, LOVEBITES official channel has no nice live videos. The quality of fancam ones is not so good. But as other person pointed out, several channels of the live festival have nice ones. So you should watch them. In fact, they released their latest live video on UA-cam for free lately. But it was a limited edition 6 days ago on 11/7, so we cannot watch it now. They play 'When Destinies Align' in this video and the members' playing techniques are as brilliant as the music video. In Japan, it is decided that the same one will be sold as DVD/Blu-ray this month. Its quality is brilliant, so I will buy it. For your information, this song was composed by the guitarist Miyako (right one in this video). She composed about 60% songs of LOVEBITES. She used to belong to 2 bands. One is 'a DROP OF JOKER', the other is '21GRAMS'. The former is an all-female band like LOVEBITES and she composed all their songs. On the other hand, she was an only lady in the latter and composed few songs. At that time, she composed various genres of music. One song is a heavy metal one with dance music part, and another is a ballad. She is excellent as a guitarist and a composer at the same time. Btw, you seems to love talented musicians with high level technique. So I recommend you another band. It is ASTERISM! It is an instrumental band without vocals and is formed by 3 young persons in 2014. Each member is talented. But the guitarist HAL-CA is especially a phenomenon even though she is just 17. IMO, her technique is another level in all Japanese female guitarists. Check their song 'Rising moon'!
No matter how well you think you play a musical instrument, there is a Japanese lady who plays it better. (stolen) Who watched Lovebites streamed concert on UA-cam? Got up at 5 am for it, awesome!
We can say that they are the woman's power in band. Her voice is like the those music background for every games and cartoons film. But what a guitarist there really talented but electric guitar is not my type I prefer acoustic.
amazing talent playing with guitars and drums

First rule of reaction club .. NEVER pause during a guitar solo!

Shadowmaker is the Best :) Official video is sooo good!

Check out edge of the world or the swan song or holy war or Winds of Transylvania
You need to learn how to balance sound volume between your comments and the music. They should be as equal as possible.
NEVER PAUSE WHEN THERE IS SHREDING GOING ON!!!!!!
LOVEBITES "Holy War" live was downloaded in UA-cam, just to let you know.

never stop in the middle of the solo damn
Hei. Kan dere lytte på en ny Norsk artist ? Emilie Nicolas. Whos gonna love you ? Fin låt. Høres ikke Norsk eller dansk ut. Mystisk og overraskende 😊💖
Nemophila banana song or Revive
Lovebites is good, but best band from Japan is Unlucky Morpheus
Better live
一生懸命コメントしようとするのには好感が持てるけど、如何せん止めるタイミングが悪過ぎる。残念!!
因みに、この曲のライブ版は右のURL → ua-cam.com/video/ILgBvfcYaMM/v-deo.html
Way, WAY too many pauses...FFS.
This songs sounds like a ripoff of Unleash the Archers - Awakening
"I need to pause"... WHY??? Can't you just wait for a few seconds?
Noooo ! Don't pause during the solo !
