Wonderful Lovebites 🏴 🤘 🐺
Miyako honestly isn't comparable to many others. She's just built different. Virtuoso at piano (her 1st instrument), guitar, composing, arranging. Plays bass and other instruments.
She is pretty incredible 🤘🧸
And she's both a geek (Star Wars ... ) and a supermodel. And, when you meet her, a totally "normal" and humble person. What's not to love?
You forgot she also has a nice voice for backing vocals.
With Lovebites you have it all in one go: stellar musicianship, brilliant songwriting, awesome stage performances and an abundance of strong and graceful personality. They're on the metal pitch since 2016 - and ever since then: an uninterrupted flow of the best the metal genre has to offer. Lovebites: a very important band in many ways.
Appreciate you friend 🙏🧸
Important, and grossly underrated due to the current state of the music industry, pumping out 80% garbage IMO, and so many enjoying the garbage.
Masterpiece performance. My favorite band ever, this is just one example of why that is. 🎹🤘🐺🤘
🤘🧸
My other fave is Hammer Of Wrath with triple intro , 2020 live with Miho is most exciting to me.
Our metal queens rules, now and forever! Cheers!🍻🐺🤘
🙏💜🧸🐺
🤟🏻🔥Lovebites🐺Perfection🔥🤘🏻
Gracias por la reacción a mi banda favorita👍🏻
🤘🧸🐺
Good rteaction. Asami does an incredible job on the lyrics.
Appreciate you friend 🙏💜🧸
Miyako is a musical genius. 🤘
🤘🧸
You're right about many Japan artists. But Miyako Piano/Guitar is on a level all her own.. This band is chock full of virtuosos Queens !
I'm starting to really realize that! 🙏🧸
How many musical geniuses you discover depends on what you do to encourage them! Japan's really good for that, here in the UK it goes in waves. When I was young there wasn't any support; I wanted to learn piano but my parent's couldn't afford it, so that was that. When my kids were in primary school everyone got the chance to try out multiple instruments (e.g., a term learning violin, a term playing djembe), then the kids who were hooked got to carry on getting lessons for free. We only had to start paying once they hit secondary, by which point they knew what mattered to them. My son ended up being the leader of a national youth orchestra just before the pandemic, but no way would we have thought to try him on violin lessons without that starter.
That is awesome! ! Thanks for sharing! Man, that is so cool about your son. Hell yeah! 🤘🧸
Hi Johnny, picking up an instrument is mandatory in pre-school Japan. Given this, a lot more discovering their love of playing is bound to surface expanding the pool of exceptionel players. Add to this the Japanese inclination to never go: "Oh, this is good enough...". They always rehearse and try that bit harder.
This band, though, is a rare gift of everything combined.
Thank you for sharing friend. That would make sense as to why so many of the bands have Extreme levels of Musicianship coming out of Japan 🙏💜🧸
"That was a whole production!" Yes. If you want to see another one at that level, check out "Frozen Serenade". No matter what you are expecting, you will not be ready for it.
LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics & credits:
If this was the last day you could live on this earth
Would you still go on, accusing someone for today
It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been through despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to never care
You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life
Sometimes the life of one can save so many more
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
SOLO: miyako / both
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan

@whirled_peace is that the official lovebites emoji or is that your spirit animal?
@@JohnnyFoxtrotshow All LOVEBITES albums have a wolf on the cover.
The band considers themselves "lone wolves" in Metal for choosing old-school styles,
sophisticated feminine appearance & positive lyrics, which I appreciate.
Many fans use the term "Wolf-Pack" to describe themselves. I am a fan.
This channel's intent is to make their lyrics available, no personal commentary.
I use the wolf emoji to acknowledge those who comment on the lyrics.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing friend 🙏🧸💜🐺
Pit circles? see Babymetal's Road Of Resistance. Another masterpiece for you. In my mind, and I grew up on metal from Black Sabbath's first album came out, and this is the best performance and composition I have ever experienced in my whole life. Astounding stuff!
Last week i had the pleasure of doing lights for Tokyo Groove Jyoshi, for their last gig in Sydney of their national tour of Australia. Chatting to the bassist Rina, of the 3 pc female band, she calmly told me, she does recording sessions with drummer Kanade Sato , of Koiai and Miyako from Lovebites , the piano guitarist. I was floored..... W T F ??? Then again with the talent i saw in Tokyo in 2007, in live venues there, the talent volume and level was astonishing and it's explosion was bound to happen. And it has.
Thanks for sharing friend. I enjoyed reading your comment🙏🧸
To be honest I'm a poser i love breakdown a lot but when it comes to LOVEBITES i probably choose to just stand there and appreciate all those masterpiece instead of doing moshpit
Miyako (lead guitarist/pianist at stage left) is a generational talent who is a virtuoso on BOTH the guitar and piano. She has been classically-trained on the piano since the age of 3. Miyako also composed & arranged "Swan Song" and this track is a neoclassical metal masterpiece. Throughout the song, you can hear motifs from Romantic-era composers Chopin (intro, main riff, solo) and Dvořák (Chorus). Miyako's piano intro is Chopin's "Étude Op. 10, No. 12 in C minor", aka the "Revolutionary Étude".
Unbelievable. So much talent! Thank you for sharing friend 🙏🧸
Hey dude listen more Lovebites and we talk ! Best cover Judas Priest and Halloween...and many, many super heavy song all of course LIVE !! Best metal band nowadays !
Excited to check out more 🤘🧸
They are phenomenal. Elite musicians. Miyako (Dark haired guitarist) is a generational talent.

A excerpt from the Des Moines Symphony - A study of over 100,000 students found that those involved in music received outstandingly higher scores on science, math and English exams compared to their non-musical peers.

LOVEBITES
They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans.
They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal, hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, R&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Obviously they draw a lot from British, German and American metal. All this makes their style unique.

"WE ARE LOVEBITES AND WE PLAY HEAVYYYY METAAAAL!!!"
Stay safe. Stay Lovebites.
The first piece Miyako played on the piano was Chopin's “Etude OP10, No. 12,” often referred to as the “Revolutionary Etude.
Some knowledge of history is necessary to understand the meaning of the lyrics of this song.
In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, leading to a revolution known as the “November Revolution,” which ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's representatives presented “Etude OP10, No. 12” in Paris. Franz Liszt, a friend of Chopin, named it the “Revolutionary Etude.
Miyako (guitar/keyboards) composed “Swan Song” based on this “Revolutionary Etude” and Dvorak's “New World Symphony.
Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite “Swan Lake,” based on the historical background of “Etude de la Revolution.
SwanSong” is a requiem for the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only Love Bites could complete.
Thank you for sharing friend. I enjoyed reading your comment 🙏🧸
Nice one.
There are songs/performances where you will see them moving/smiling, it depends on the mood of the song.
Raise some Hell and the latest live video of them performing We the United are just two examples.
One of your commenters on your feed mentioned Babymetal for a pit, Road of Resistance. Give it a go, the Live from Japan version. All Babymetal shows have pits, you just can't always see them in the videos.
Appreciate you friend 🤘🧸
Rock, Metal and Jazz all went to Japan to flourish. Here Miyako's musical savant brain blended classical and metal into this epic masterpiece. She is blessed with insanely talented band-mates who can play this especially LIVE. These musicians are talented, driven, and dedicated to their music, each other and their fans (Wolfpack). LIVE you will not many bands today that can match the experience of these ladies especially LIVE with a full venue. She put out a LP of 6 metal songs she converted to classical piano pieces, it is awesome and stunning to experience.
Appreciate you friend 🙏💜🧸
To your point about people sacrificing themselves for others and how that is looked at. To me, if a soldier dies fighting, an important question is what were they fighting for? It's often not for a good cause.
In the case of joining of the Revolutionary Etude with Swan Song, I like that they are paired as a tribute to those heroic Polish soldiers who gave their lives fighting for emancipation. See the other comment to your reaction that explained the history of that Chopin etude and the November 1831 uprising. Not only was the piano piece the intro and outro, musical themes are repeated in the Lovebites song.
"Swan song" definition:
1. A farewell or final appearance, action, or work.
2. The beautiful legendary song sung only once by a swan in its lifetime, as it is dying.
3. A final performance or accomplishment, especially one before retirement.

I'll go even further than saying that Japan takes music education seriously. I'd go as far as to say that we in the US have lost a lot of this music education that we are still trying to get back. Why and when did we lose it? I'd say around 1992. What happened then? one word: GRUNGE. Yes, I said it. When grunge took over and we had bands that could barely play 3 chords to their name, we lost a lot of the virtuosity that had prior to then. Yes, one could call it "hair metal or glam metal", but that virtuosity and serious approach to playing the music was there. We are on our way to getting some of it back, but we (and the US music scene in general) still hasn't recovered. Thank goodness for bands like LoveBites for carrying that torch.
agree, except for Alice n chains, Grunge was garbage, Nu Metal was somewhat better, but it was a lot more fun.
I would disagree that Grunge is garbage...... Technically lacking, Yes. What music education were musicians receiving prior to grunge that effected the metal scene? I enjoyed reading your comment, just looking for further information cause I honestly don't know. Appreciate you! 🤘🧸
Japan takes music education seriously.
Im starting to understand that 😂
Midori💚💚💚💚💚 Miho💜💜💜💜💜
🙏💜🧸
reminds me so of nightwish, somehow the vibe
The audience doesn't do circle pits or mosh pits and the artists don't hold their naked butts into the audience while holding a bottle of Jägermeister.
That's always the first thing that comes to mind when I see this song. You are a true beautiful spirit my friend.🤔😑😂
You paint an interesting picture my friend 😉🤘🧸
@@JohnnyFoxtrotshow Japanese do make mosh pits. It depends on the band, venue and music. If you check out BABYMETAL's live videos they have a special mosh pits area. If you you check out MAXIMUM THE HORMONE live shows you will see mosh pits. Personally I think LOVEBITES is not the band to have moshpits to. The music it self takes the breath of you under the concert.
@@davidornbergOr you could try the punk rock Japanese style band MIDORI... 😂
Japanese audience don't go in a circle in the mosh pit while the others do because they are "audience" not just a crazy crowd, 'cause It's a concert not a show, it is the reason rock/metal have survived only in Japan. It didn't have to be rock or metal in the States, it could be any fun and wild party and, this is it.
Yeah , like Band Maid so many hi lite touches , you don't want the distraction of dancing, as you will the magic bits
Mosh Pitts are not allowed in most Japanese indoor venues!
Such a shame
@@JohnnyFoxtrotshow Yes it is, but I was in a LOVEBITES mosh pit in England in 2019 at the DragonForce LOVEBITES tour in the UK 🇬🇧
Very Nice! So you got to have some fun then 🤘🧸
@ Lots of fun and a few bruises! 🤘They are so good playing live, one of the best!
🤘🤘🤘🤘
🤘🧸
You obviously have not seen Babymetal wall of death and circle pits.
I have NOT 🤘🧸
Came here to say the same thing!
BABYMETAL from Japan so you want a circle pit, BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan ua-cam.com/video/zTEYUFgLveY/v-deo.html
🤘🧸🤘
Babymetal is a VERY different beast although their music is also metal - but BM is all about performance, they get the crowd going, even a Japanese crowd. LoveBites is way more music-centered, not so much entertainment, they are musicians. BM calls themselves a "metal dance unit".
