I love just how much drama there is whenever a roller coaster gets stuck on a lift hill. It's designed to shut down whenever the computer detects a problem. Either way, when that happens, you're literally just sitting there on a standstill. It's not like the car is suddenly gonna roll back into the station- they fixed that problem in the '20s. It's still not a good sign if it happens, but it's not like everyone's doomed and you're all gonna die.
Glad everyone got off safe, but this kinda stuff happens all the time. From Batman the Ride, to Titan, rides break down and get stuck. No need to panic or think the worst. BTW I work out there. Yay Lots of fun. o.O

Third, a plan of action to ferry the passengers safely off the ride and back to the ground has to be worked out. A ride can stop anywhere along it's track so it's difficult to plan ahead of time exactly what route people will take, or what equipment is required, to safely return passengers to the ground. Typically staff members can respond in a very short amount of time, so the passengers aren't actually up there by themselves for an hour. That said, for a large coaster like this it usually takes between 30-60 minutes for all safety considerations to be worked out so the passengers can safely be removed from the ride.
yesterday I went to six flags great adventure for a field trip for my summer camp and rode bizzaro front seat, I got stuck half way up the lift hill. it was about 85 degrees when we were there and I got a bad sunburn as I was stuck up there for 30 minutes. A worker walked up and told us "everything is OK its just minor technical difficulties, this won't take longer than 10 minutes". fortunately I was stuck up there with 3 of my friends. 30 minutes later they finally got the ride going and it was a blast!
I’m mad at how they say the coaster was renamed. Lol nope. It’s still Shockwave. Besides that, they literally had just started climbing the lift. What’s so scary? Looking down? Bet they weren’t on for more then probably 20 minutes.

Lol IM AWARE that it can be a scary thing but if ur up there for like 10+ minutes you can get urself comfy while other people work their butt off making sure ur safe. I didn't see any credit being given to the staff that got them down, all I saw was the "traumatized victims" that talked about their experience (they all literally said the same thing "we were stuck for a while and it was scary")
