Rode this coaster today. I must say, I've been to several theme parks. Magic mountains in California, six flags saint Louis, kings island Ohio, six flags over Texas and some in Vegas but this roller coaster by far is the best roller coaster in have ever rode. Going back tomorrow.
The first time I rode this was 20yrs ago, it was rough af! Me and my best friend both left with bruises on our thighs. I’m glad they modified it, it looks so nice and smooth now, I can’t wait to go back and see how it is to ride it now.
It definitely shows that they just retracked the ride, with the more traditional wooden coaster layout with extra banking. That said, this is still a pretty good ride. The overbanked turns are pretty damn fun and the airtime at the end is satisfying to me. Go check this out if you have the chance. It’s a piece of roller coaster history.
My review: That first drop really gets you. It’s about as steep as Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios. But that part was the only part that made my stomach drop. The rest of the ride is super fun.
They're not only amateurs they're complete jackasses that are putting other riders in danger with a good chance of losing it. Its just point blank stupid.
My favorite coaster at SFOT! You must ride in the very back seat. It delivers the sensation of whipping you over the top of the first drop and pretty much every drop...packs a super fun punch of airtime. Kudos to RMC and SFOT for such a great coaster!!!
I live 45 minutes from the Texas giant, I have ridden some of the best coasters in this country. I travelled a lot for2 decades. There’s some incredible coasters to be sure but nothing touches the Texas Giant.
I live in California but when I went to Texas I went on this ride and I luved it it's not that bad and it's a good ride to get over your fears of roller coasters :)😁😁😁
It was the first RMC coaster I'm pretty sure they didn't want to screw it up or make it not smooth by adding inversions they played it safe and the coaster is still AMAZING
Shane Babka that’s because rmc just re made the ride with the same layout. It’s basically the same exact coaster as the original Texas Giant, just remolded.
I am a Cedar Fair fan through and through. But one thing Six Flags HAS done better is the respect for the older Texas Giant, and how they refer to the RMC remodel as a birthday present is much classier than how Cedar Point is knocking down the reputation of the old Mean Streak, which was also a record breaking, world class wooden coaster. Id much prefer they be lifting the MS rep instead of killing it for Steel Vengeance.
And thus an era was born
I was going to chicken out but when I went in there I saw the chicken coop and I was like I have to go now😂
That sounds like me. I was supposed to go with my family because it was my first major coaster but we got separated.
1:01 Wait - Let's discuss this!
I screamed when I went down and I went Saturday
You Know What? That Was The Original Sign For The Texas Giant's Lift Hill!
Dries Nijssen titan is way better
Dries Nijssen I saw that lol.
1:03 - *_TOO LATE!_*

JKTwice I think the best way to put it is that they sorta just exaggerated every aspect of the classic.

This is awesome that you are doing this. There are too many amateurs out there with cellphones with really bad footage.
They're not only amateurs they're complete jackasses that are putting other riders in danger with a good chance of losing it. Its just point blank stupid.
I know right
RY30DM yeup
I rode it twice over the weekend and loved it. One of the best coasters ever.
Haven't been since they put the steel track on it. It looks so much more smoother now with the steel track.

J.TV yyessss. The best!!
yes there are colorful strobe lights in the tunnels its so awesome at night, like you're at a disco party or something 🤣
My first and favorite rollercoaster great airtime not only that but did anyone else find the drop on this ride scarier than the Titan/Goliath
Bentley Huffman Vlogz okay I’m SO scared to go on the titan is it scarier or is the titan
This ride is definitely scarier than the titan !!!
Such a great ride! Best in the park in my opinion. Back seat best Seat! Good air there.
Zonies Coasters I road the front today and it was awesome.
This is probably my favorite Six Flags ride
This was the first roller coaster I’ve rode
I can’t wait I’m going this Friday and in my opinion this ride is better at night

I love this ride!!
My overall fav wooden coaster in six flags history
Weird to see an RMC with no inversions
It was the first RMC coaster I'm pretty sure they didn't want to screw it up or make it not smooth by adding inversions they played it safe and the coaster is still AMAZING
First major RMC bro.
Shane Babka that’s because rmc just re made the ride with the same layout. It’s basically the same exact coaster as the original Texas Giant, just remolded.
You do realize this was Rocky Mountain's first coaster, so they didn't need to put any inversions
As long as an RMC has airtime, it’s great
I don’t care if an RMC doesn’t have inversions, they’re just ok, besides Zero-G-Stalls those are amazing
I love this ride one of my favorites ive been on
1:04 uhhhhhhhh I didn't sign up for this!!!!😂😂
Best 2 minutes of my life
Love the POV’s!

I like ur video it cool
I rode this before the steel track. I haven't been on it since then. It was so rough it made me sick. I won't try it again.
Night ride
I rode the Texas Giant last summer
Ryan Leiby how was it? Thinking of riding it but afraid of coasters
it's not bad at all, even my two sisters deathly scared and my grandma rode it. Scariest part is the way up, after that it's a blast!
Brian Delgado you’ll be fine. Just airtime, no inversions, very smooth
