If you have any questions, leave them in the comments, I'll be happy to help you with your project. Did you know that Home Depot will make the cuts to your 2x4's for free? Also if you don't have a screw gun, you can use a hammer and nails.
Excellent video. I plan to make one myself. I think I can make it with a little less wood by making a single platform large enough to hold both washer and dryer with a single center support. Did you need to account for vibration of the washer or dryer to provent them from sliding around.
@@MrRlsullivanjr thank you, you certainly can make a single platform, the only reason I made two is because if one of the washers and dryers needed to be serviced I didn't have to move one big platform, I could just move one at a time. But no I didn't have to account for the vibration of the machine it stays on there just fine but if you're feeling that you may have an issue with it, you can always take the top 2x 4S and raise them up maybe a quarter of an inch so there's a lip around the top edge I hope your project comes out nice, keep me posted.
@@Ibelievesoiam paint is optional, I already had paint supplies so I just bought some inexpensive black paint from walmart. But if you don't have the supplies you could always get some spray paint. Or you might want to check around the house and just see if you have some leftover paint laying around.
I had a guy help me lift it up. Funny thing is that, I tried to lift it up by myself and take a video of it and I knew that I couldn't do it without fucking it up so I just waited until I could get somebody to help me lift it up, but yeah it's a two-man job or woman-job or whatever, you know what I mean.

Just what I was looking for. Thank you.
@@stevebarnes262 glad I could help.
I saved so much money building this myself! Thanks!

Did you have to move the drain pipe up?
I didn't have to move the drain pipe.
Also any suggestions for the paint?

Is it holding up against the shaking?
It's holding up fine, it's solid.
How did you lift the washer and dryer onto the pedestal?

Just wondering did you use timbers for this
What do you mean by timbers?
what length 2x4 did you buy
I bought 8 - 8 ft long 2x4s or 8 - 2x8x96s
The quality of 8 for each measurement was for the two pedestals correct? So if only one is needed then 4 of each will do?
If by quality you mean quantity then yes correct.
