    Good info!! My Mach One bottomed out is getting 80.5#. I’ve got it set at 90% let off & I’m shooting Victory VAP TKO’s with a 100 grain QAD Edoxus broadhead. Arrows are 456 grains with a 12-13% FOC. I’m getting an average of 334 FPS. I fricken LOVE this bow. I got the Nock-On edition because I love Sitka Subalpine camo. I can’t believe how much forgiveness I get in range estimation with this bad boy!!! I cannot wait for TAC events this year and elk season!!!!

    Sweet. Just ran across your channel and subscribing. I happened to place an order for an 80# Mach 1 earlier today so can’t wait to get it in and try it.
    I’ll keep up on y’all.

      @@brosbeforebowshunting awesome. I’m coming from a Carbon Air 34 which has been a great bow.
      What spine arrows are those? Assuming at least a 250 with that much arrow weight and bow poundage. I’ll likely need new as I’m currently shooting 300 spine at about 500gr, 70# but only 28.5” DL.

      Great question and I like the fact that you are thinking about it!
      That arrow is a 250 black eagle X-impact with about 260 grains up front. They are pretty sweet!
      You may be able to get 300s to work, not likely.... it really depends on where the weight is coming from, ie GPI of your arrow vs point weight.
      We are actually working on getting a video out there about arrows so stay tuned!
      Thanks again for watching!

    I have been looking for videos on this exact setup. Light weight, 80 pound limbs, and 300FPS. Thanks PSE. Keep the vids coming on this setup for sure. Ever shot the APA King Cobra with 80 pound limbs?

    Can you guys put a mathews Atlas through its paces. They reckon 350 at 34' draw. Also what poundage can you get it up too. 75 is there limit but you guys got more from your hybrid triax thingy wich was cool to see.

    • @brosbeforebowshunting
      @brosbeforebowshunting  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Geoffrey, thanks for watching! When the Mathews Atlas was released, both Josh and I had interest. The more we both researched it, tested and shot through a chronograph, it was just not up to the task for the goals we were working towards. In my opinion, unless you have a 32-34 inch draw, the Atlas will not be able to preform. With Mathews bows I usually shoot a 29.5 inch draw that combined with a brace height of almost 8 inches makes it one of the the slowest bows I have shot this year. Josh shoots a bit longer draw and maybe in the future who knows you might see it or some type of version of it in a video. Shorter limbs to shorten the brace… maybe 🤔

      I'm 32.5 draw. It will be good to shoot it through a chrono one day. I'm 75p at 80 let off using 250g arrow with 225 up front. I'm very happy still. Maybe just its so comfortable.
      Cheers guys, I got the addiction

    You guys need to get your hands on an 80lb xpedition x33 or mx16. Im thinking it would be in your top 3 fastest bows.

      Thank you for watching! Great suggestion! I have been trying to get in contact with the closest xpedition dealer to see what it would take to get my hands on an x33 the specs are amazing. It would be great to see if it would live up to what they claim!

      @@brosbeforebowshunting the mx 16 was aron Snyders favorite bow last year and said it was a speed demon on kifarucast. I have not shot the x series yet but i did shoot the mx 16. Very similar to a hoyts draw cycle, for me anyways, awesome string angle, just a solid bow but the one i shot was at 60lbs so i didnt get a full feel for it.

    Good to know. Want into an 80lb this year. Was thinking of the Prime 5 (still would love one) but getting one this side of the pond is hard. The PSE is my best option I think. Plus I'm shooting an Xpedite with fast cams at the moment so I'm up to speed on the make. But which one........ always spoilt for choise with PSE lol.

    • @brosbeforebowshunting
      @brosbeforebowshunting  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, PSE is great because they do have many offerings. We have yet to get our hands on the new EVL. The 34 might be interesting with 80# limbs.... we both have the NXT 33 and NTN with 80# limbs and they are shooters for sure. I’d suggest staying away from Prime if there aren’t local dealers just because they are complicated to work on when you encounter tune issues. They are a different animal....
      Thanks for watching!!!

    Is that a power stop target you're shooting into? If so are you having issues with pass throughs?

    • @brosbeforebowshunting
      @brosbeforebowshunting  3 роки тому

      Hey, thanks for watching and commenting! Yes, it is a power stop target... with the micro diameter shafts especially. I have an old bag target behind it that helps. Otherwise they’d blow right through and probably put a hole in the wall...

      Yeah I believed all the hype it was saying on the website. It is sad that you have to put a $50 target behind a $150 target to stop arrows with field points. I have less than 200 arrows through mine and getting pass throughs at 50 yards with a 60lb bow. I am currently talking to their customer service and will keep you update and see what they say. I don't expect anything other than me wasting my money and falling for their advertising.
      Thank you for reply. It is much appreciated. Love the content and looking forward to see more as you continue to grow.

      Sounds good! I appreciate that. I have the hybrid as well and it isn’t stopping anything! I do have well over 1000 arrows through it but it didn’t do well from the beginning with the heavy stuff.... I got sick of damaged fletchings and wasted time... I just forked over a bunch of cash for a matrix target and it really works great so far!
      Thanks for the support and stay tuned!

    Pse has the most efficient cam system in the market. Whoever is saying that the speed is changing when you change the let of, is probably talking about all the other bows.
    I don't think though that testing a 80# bow is gonna be helpful for the majority of archers,
    Exept if you were using a 600+grain arrow for Buffalo hunting.
    That wouldn't be helpful too but it whould make more sense at this pountage....

      80# shooters definitely make up a smaller portion of archery community. It’s definitely not for everyone and not necessary. We have a few videos on our channel where we explain our philosophy on higher DW and why we choose to go that route. Check them out and let us know what you think!

    setting "A" is 30.5" on my mach1

    • @brosbeforebowshunting
      @brosbeforebowshunting  3 роки тому

      You are correct, A is supposed to 30 1/2”. It does feel short to me, compared to my NXT 35 and my EVO NTN set at the 30.5” setting. Not sure why but it does!
      Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
