As a child used to dream of being train engineer, fire fighter, soldier, race jockey non came true but surely these little engines reflect inspiration on my long gone dreams.
I admire the way everything fits so well, from the silent operating worm steering gear to the snap of the firebox door shutting. It’s a credit to the builder. I live 30kms from Thetford the area where it was first made, you’d never know there used to be such clever engineering there now
What an awesome machine! I would wear the rubber off if I had it. I love a steam whistle. It reminds me of the river boats going by when I was young. I would probably put seats on the wagon to drive the neighborhood kids around.
If you wanna attract all those lousy environmentalists, yeah. In fact, screw them. These things are incredibly! Would love to personally drive one someday!

My uncle has a hand drawn cyclopeia from the 1800s that showed how they used steam tractors to pull a plow and plowman with cable and winch. They were too likely to get stuck if they drove on to the field.

Ich baue mit meinen Kindern aktuell eine rudimentäre Dampfmaschine. Schön zu sehen, dass es noch viel Luft nach oben gibt.
