This is your calling my guy. Learning how to craft a good song is more important than learning the tech. This is perfect for those who already know how to use music creation tech. Short and to the point. Editing is on point. Good fucking job. I look forward to seeing you in the big leagues of UA-cam.
Seems like God-given talent. You single-handedly fused Korn and Linkin Park in a single video. Praise Him with it, Jacob. And may His peace be with you
Jacob, it might just be that you are the coolest human on the planet! Thank you for this, it is very helpful. What's so funny is how easy you make this seem. Your natural talent on full display. Thank you for this video, loved it and I learned so much! You are the Metal Jesus! Have a great rest of your weekend!
I know this is old but just found it and wanted to say this is my dream. To reach a level where I can chill and just have fun making music. I can barely play guitar at the moment.
This was amazing man! I loved watching you create the song and see your process and it turned out so good! I'm inspired to write some nu tunes now! 🤘😁🤘
awesome song man!!! I am Brazillian so i have some difficulty to understand somethings but i got the idea, i hope to buid my songs like that. It would be a great help if you make more videos like this.
DUDE! Recording the main riff, verse and chorus sounded slightly like Memphis May Fire and their recent singles (obviously just less electronic and melodic). Throughout the entire video everything was giving off MASSIVE Linkin Park vibes to me. Especially the vocals. I knew you were great, but I didn't realise you were this good! Tell me you're not Chester's long lost brother. You sound exactly like him. The full song was brilliant, sounded a lot like Linkin and at times Korn. If anything the breakdown could slightly be matched to Slipknot. Love it! It's gotta be on Spotify with your next album! The mixing part is so confusing as I don't have any of these software, programs etc. Especially on a chromebook.
That was the most Nu-metal sounding tutorial I've ever seen 👍 How'd you get your guitar signal so flat in the raw recording? You must compress the crap out of it on the in-signal?
wow that was a great video! your instrumentals (and songs too) are amazing, you are a very talented person. you should deff be working for a record company. I would love to make a song with you someday over zoom- i go by Gunk on audius
as a metal fan... i am SO glad i found this channel i also love the fact that besides your music you did this video this is great! its a shame that i don't have ANY musical talent though :( after seeing this video you get a sub how long (in hours) did it take you to make this whole song anyway? i am very curious i hope you do more of this for other types of metal like melodic death and stuff!
I recorded the instrumental then I did the lyrics. Then I took a short break and recorded the vocals. If I had to guess I’d say the entire thing took less than two hours.
Hey jacob.is there a way for me to buy or download the instrumental you made in the video? I've already searched on your website but I couldn't find it..
Hey I haven’t made it available for anyone to purchase or download yet because I wasn’t sure what to do with it. I might make it an exclusive instrumental, I’m not sure yet.
Sounds like amalgamation of the entire QOTD OST This tutorial is less of a numetal but more of a edgy metal/goth late teens/young adults shagging music tutorial lol
I'm absolutely disgusted by how few views this video has. You did a great job.

Thank you man! It was my first time trying a video of this scale, it was a lot of work but I think it came out pretty solid!
Seems like God-given talent. You single-handedly fused Korn and Linkin Park in a single video. Praise Him with it, Jacob. And may His peace be with you
Nu metal is the most underated style of music ever and needs to come back
More overhated but yes

Interested this reminds me of that track Chester Bennington did for the movie Queen of the Damned love it definitely love it nice one lad
The most straight forward tutorial I've ever watched
I love how you are pretty chills and made the process looks less stress. Thanks!
16:06 SOUNDS SOO EFFING SICK BRO!!!!! ILOVE THIS
literally korn slipknot linkin park iit sounds soo sick bro
this is amazing. reminds me of adema, I'll niño,red, LP,
Jack of all trades 👏🏼
This was really dope to watch. Some parts were funny as how easy some things come to you as an artist. It’s nice once writers block isn’t taking hold
"inside your demise" was a killer lyric 😃
“I felt your heart grow colder with time” is killer as well.
killer lyric...typo on the old comment.
That was an absolute treat. You have me hooked and I learn a lot thankiw
Really appreciate this effort. There are many tutorials out there but many make jokes and/or don't cover nu metal. Very helpful.
Wicked awesome man! Reminds me a lot of Fades Away!
That sounds great dude I wish I had this much talent.
Thank you dude!
@@JacobLizotte Nah fr like I come back to listen to the full song when I play Apex lmao..
Love you stuff dude
You are super talented Jacob! Thanks for sharing your process!

awesome, bro! You should keep it going!

straight forward! thanks!
Great video! I really wanted to see the process!
Got it recommended! Very awesome 👍👍
Thank you for this
epic I found it! thx much 🙏
It's in drop AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
thank you, my dude.
Great voice! Looking forward for more 🔥🤜🤛
It's amazing!
complete thrill!
That was the most Nu-metal sounding tutorial I've ever seen 👍 How'd you get your guitar signal so flat in the raw recording? You must compress the crap out of it on the in-signal?
It’s because of the EMG pickups I’m pretty sure. Active pickups tend to make the DI signal look flatter and clipped like that.
@@JacobLizotte Interesting. Ty for that info 😊

Go 18k 🤘😎🤟
Great video Jacob, I really enjoyed your approach to tackling a song in this genre. New subscriber 👍
I hear more static x vibe like when they did that soundtrack for queen of the damned.
that vocal line you recorded with the guitar is somethin straight outta a tool record, idk what it is about it
like right before 7:00 in
Saved! Imma learn lol
*Andri From Pagefire* should do a collab with you on making this kind of stuff.
Super 😁👍
10:00 I'd be lying if I said I didn't do that myself lol
You wrote an Adema song lol
This was great, it’s really interesting seeing the process of song creation. If the video does well would you consider doing more for other genres?
Yes! My audience just isn’t too interested in it unfortunately but I’ll definitely do another one. I might do one per month.
people are interested this your channel is just kinda hard to find its like finding talent in a dark alley most people havent seen your channel
@@julie-sw7wn I'm working on a deathcore one as we speak!
Speaking of writing from "scratch" if this song have a DJ scratch it'll be perfect lmao "fre-fre-fresh"
Metal bands that are on the thrash side would probably just palmute to that rhythm

This song is awesome! Has it officially been released yet? I wanna add it to my nu metal playlist on Spotify. Keep up the awesome work!
useful knowledge, before I want to ask permission to use one of your free instruments mr. jacob is it okay?
Amazing. Can you explain the chain you used for the vocals? Were they double recorded? Any effects too?
SMÖNIX also does it
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
man i wish I could play guitar
Can I buy this track ? i would like to set it on my gym track list 🤘
I’ve got some lyrics written but can’t see to find a good instrumental for the style I want. What would it cost for a custom song?
Hey feel free to send me an email and we can talk about your project! My email is thrasher726@gmail.com
aye yo, can ya do another one with mudvayne coal chamber style next?
Is the song entirely in A minor? Or does it flip to Phrygian ever so often on the leads?

Is this track in your song library on UA-cam? Or just a one shot?
where can I listen to this song
What tuning are you in? I’ve been trying to figure it out
My guess is Drop A
@@JacobLizotte ah ok. I also just heard you say it after rewatching the video. Thank you!
If I could, I have a completely different idea for the vocal melodies that I think would be really killer.
what program is this?
