I’m so glad this is being corrected for you and him. He will have a wonderful full life. I am 61 and I was born with dislocated hips. I was put in casts clear up to my bellybutton with just an opening to do my business. Mom said the cast would get pretty gross. Following casts came braces. Just after 2 I was able to walk. I had my first cast when I was 5 days old (I was born with my right foot being a club foot)now I’m in ballet and dancing better than some of the other I’m sure you and your baby will do great and I understand what it feels like to be in casts all the time
don’t worry your boy will be running soon ….. as my daughter had the same degree of clubfoot and went through same treatment and she is 5 yrs old now with normal feet running jumping like others 👍🏻👍🏻
So happy they start treatment immediately now. My brother is 64 and was born with club feet like your son. My mom said you could paste cake his soles together. He was about 6 months old when they gave him boots. He was about 3 when he had heel chord surgery. He had braces, boots and bars, and went to the Shrine Hospital for 16 years. But by then you would never know. I wish all the best for your baby and hope by school time he is all healed. ❤
We are so lucky that we live in a day and age where they have technology to be able to correct issues like this so that later in life children will be able to run play and walk better. ❤ do you have an adorable boy
Good luck with the shoes and bar. My son screamed his head off because his feet were spaced so far apart and pointed out in each direction. It looked painful even when I looked at him. I was at work, and my husband called me and said that our son was crying so hard with the shoes and bar on, he threw up. I told him to take them off. But, it was successful and he is 19 years old and a college student. He walks perfectly!
I went though this with my oldest son he not only had to wear cast but also had to wear a pillow brace between his Legs his Cast were only up to his knees and he Also learned to crawl with those Cast he wore the Shoes we called them his space shoes he ware his Shoes until he was over a year old and learned to walk in them he was a determined child Good luck with your Boy

My baby girl is currently going through the same thing. This is so encouraging to see! She has two weeks left with her casts before they come off.
