She is showing how the Magicians Performa the trick removing the magical piercer and art of misdirection. The ply book of hoe th the mental illness works now the jury can think about the prior testimony the rest of the trial and now the dots connect and act like to missing context is Maki g the answer clear. If she testifies now it's gonna be now exposed and clear wht the manipulation and overall abusive behavior is what it looks like and her start to fight or flight as she won't be able to control the perception of her barrative thar justifies her or shows she had done nothing wrong. Prediction if she fumbles and runs into trouble it won't be long before the look what you made me do talk starts her lawyers did it immediately om their questioning asking what damage the abus causes and whT where the trauma and behavioral effect are. As if tonsay the abus causes her to abuse it isn't her fault. Felt like the docs info started right there. It felt like an odd narrative e they were crafting. Toonsad

Finally, a professional, accredited therapist and clinical psychologist can see her for what she truly is. Amber Hear whether she has these 2 disorders had forever made a disservice to the community who works with victims of DV and sexual abuse and on a positive note it finally opens a wide door to start talking about Male victims and survivors of DV. Violence and mental illness have no gender, no social status, or

I am a single father who lived every word and detail of a borderline partner with a child involved..... My son's mother never could accept the reality that she had anything wrong or any problem because she was just that good at hiding it to others. It is truly amazing that this testimony depicts even the ability to hide it so well. For the first 4 years of my son's life I endured every detail of the rage and behavior described here. I documented the behavior for almost 2 years only to have the court system mediator try to say that I also was mentally ill also. The court system was so broken that she had communicated with the social worker who was assigned to us prior to any meetings and filled her head with lies about me (including false accusations of sexual abuse to my own son) when they were not even supposed to be communicating. It was a literally an art form of how well she maintained looking like she was a victim.
Any abuse I took from her behavior was all in my own home until I could finally evict her(with one month notice) from it, this made her go ballistic, damaging my car and throwing food at me. I went through four different attorneys before finally ending up with two women that were like angels sent from heaven. One of them specialized in women with borderline personality disorder (Irene renillo) in the other one was a judge (Denise rini). They immediately understood the severity of the situation and acted faster than anyone else I had gone to. Before even getting in front of a judge they were able to get me residential custody of my son. Want to see a grown man cry? I did that day knowing it was finally over.
Even listening to this testimony I was still educated more on border lines.even though surreal and brought back terrible memories of this painful awful time in my life trying to protect my own son.
For any other men out there that are stuck in this situation the longer you stick around the worse it gets. For the sake of your children please seek the legal help you need....

Now compare that to the other psychiatrist and you'll see the night and day difference between a professional and a "professional", this statement is completely factual and based on evidence meanwhile the other testimony dodges talking about the actual tests administered, she lazily checks the boxes and half assedly fills out the forms, shorthands everything in her own 'style', and does nothing but refer to the victim as 'she' and the perpetrator as 'he' the entire time in a completely hypothetical scenario. All those words saying "he is the aggressor and she is the poor innocent victim who only lashes out in retaliation", all that based on hearsay and 90% of the garbage spewed out of her mouth started with "well amber told me this".
Not once did Dr. Curry state even an ounce of hearsay and she gladly explained every little detail and then some about how her tests worked and how reliable they are when asked. The other 'therapist'' did nothing but bash a fellow practitioner in an attempt to discredit her but she also stated lies and misrepresented data the entire time, completely unwilling to discuss any test results even when being interrogated by the lawyers. Honestly, curry could go on for hours with interesting, factual, and relevant data and no one would even get the least bit bored meanwhile it was clear half the court tuned out 5 minutes into the other testimony and just like Dr. Curry predicted that buffoon said exactly what was foreseen, not a single fact uttered the entire time besides "Johnny does drugs" and also comedically the exact test Curry brought up; the one she proved that amber manipulated and purposefully fudged in an attempt to minimize her disorder...
If that doesn't prove her credibility and lack thereof for the other psychiatrist then I don't know what would, she predicted the future by saying "here's the only test results the other 'expert' is going to bring up and here's how it's false and inaccurately filled in", and sure enough, what does she do? Brings up that exact test and jumps straight to hearsay and completely dodges anything and everything about the results... That lady needs to be disbarred and the "50 cases" that she testified on need to be reviewed and she needs jail time for the blatant sexism and abuse of the system she's shown in the court room. Curry ought to seek a defamation suit against her while we're at it, how has her blatant disregard for the tests and her obviously clouded and biased judgement made it this far without being caught or punished in the slightest???

I think borderline personality disorder has to come from CEN (Childhood emotional neglect). The parent basically teaches the child to ignore their inner feelings and conform to a certain image of “good behavior” to impress others, and not to be themselves. The child does not develop a sense of self, because they may believe it is selfish and sinful to focus on self and not others. Their identity is focused on pleasing others, and that gets exhausting. I don’t have borderline because I don’t hurt others, but I relate to some of the descriptions this lady was talking about, about the person confirming to what others expect, and great fear of rejection. Imagine putting in a ton of energy to make people like you, and then they still don’t; that can be very disturbing. I remember as a child, we were taught that it was selfish to focus on yourself, and to ignore our feelings and put on a facade of a certain image at church. I grew up with no sense of self and just mimicked others so they would like me, so I wouldn’t get rejected. 🤔 I have put great effort trying to build a sense of self separate from that over the years, because I knew it wasn’t a sustainable way to exist. But I can actually relate to this mindset. 😳

It shows your mind is trapped in simplistic cognitive functions...such as confirmation bias, cognitive distortions, limiting beliefs. To demonize a side that you don't understand, and feel threatened by, shows low emotional intelligence. Interestingly, in most mental conditions...those people have very low emotional intelligence.

Same here. I have worked with many couples where the female is the main abuser. It is so unfortunate that such women often have nowhere to obtain help because when they tell a female therapist what they are doing, the therapist often minimises, excuses or justifies the woman's behaviour and shifts the blame to the man, and so the woman receives no help and sometime even receives reinforcement of her condition. And men are mostly disbelieved. I find my own colleagues and the wider counselling industry culture to be disappointing. We need to wake up to the fact that men and women are pretty close to equal in abusing each other, and in many if not most cases -- not all cases -- the abusive relationship is a mutual dynamic which both are contributing to in some way, actively or passively, or both.

It took me awhile to realize that I was the problem, and even longer to realize that it didn’t have to be that way. While yes we need more awareness about mental and emotional health, we also can’t enable people that they can do whatever and use their mental disorder as a crutch to mistreat others because it is a viscous cycle that will only repeat itself until we hold ourselves accountable for our behavior. It's very difficult and hard to deal with especially with all the sigmatism around BPD. it is awful not only for those who have been on the"wrath side" of our disorder but also for us.
Most my life it felt like I was in this deep fog with no clarity and scared, alone, etc. But then once I learned that I'm not mY BPD, can function normally and have normal emotions, and healthy boundaries it's like I woke up from that fog. The determination of a written personality test that allows 1 of only 2 inputs, is inherently incredibly subjective. With the right series of questions, you could determine anyone to be anything. If that is professional psychology, then that is pure non-sense. More likely it is judicial system influenced BS.

I was in a relationship with a woman who showed significant signs of BPD - distorted and negative self image, obsession, fear of being left alone, emotional outbursts over every small thing, etc. I did what the psychologist explained - at first all my attention went to her, I did everything to please her, didn't see my friends, barely left the house, went everywhere with her... and I did that because otherwise she would either get mad or she would be in a sour mood. I completely submitted myself to her. 2 years in, I felt that I haven't seen my friends since forever and wanted to hang with them again... she would allow it on the condition that she would come with me and no was not an answer. I told her no once and the emotional outburst was hell.
Also to note is that from early on in the relationship she told me that if I wasn't with her, she would have killed herself already. This line... If you weren't with me, I'd kill myself... carried on for four years. She didn't fail to remind me that from time to time. I was unhappy and miserable, couldn't end the relationship because of fear. Tried to be my best for her, expecting a change but it only got worse... to a point that I was diagnosed with depression and had suicidal tendencies. She brushed it off as... How can you feel this way if you are with me. Gaslighting was an everyday issue.
After regular therapy and psychiatrist visits I pulled myself together and told her that I'm miserable and that I want to take a time off from this. To cool down, be separate and have a chance to focus on myself for one moment... She snapped, tried to jump down from an 8th floor window... after she was denied and held back... locked herself in the restroom and drank bleach. I called ambulance, she was locked for a night in a psych ward and got heavily sedated. Later i started to think back to it... She really didn't put much effort into actually trying to jump down from a window and from the hospital they told me that she had barely ingested any bleach. In the end it was only to make a scene... to make a point that she could do it.
That incident was a wake-up call for me... I just couldn't care anymore. I couldn't care less about her wanting to kill herself, because in the end I thought... If she would do it, I would be saved. I packed my bags, left... and she didn't kill herself, probably never even intended to. It was just a way for her to manipulate me.... she still lives on, looking for another guy to fall victim to her. I myself on the other hand have never felt so free. My career got a boost, i came off my medication and enjoying every single moment. I'm still single and I would say that these 4 years spoiled the concept of a relationship for me. I'm careful with dating and have trust issues, but slowly getting there. Still in therapy tho.
There were even more gruesome details in this toxic relationship I could write a book about, but kept it tl:dr format.

Psychologists can see through Amber’s sophisticated manipulation and her vindictive personality traits with absolute ease. Even so, I’ve no doubt that Amber truly believed she could outsmart the appropriate tests. That’s how confident and narcissistic she is.
Her deep-seeded psychological issues are so transparent, it’s kind of sad. But it is fantastic to see such a highly knowledgeable professional draw such accurate conclusions and spell it out so appropriately.

Well the tests aren't particularly hard to fake, take questions like the introvert test, you'll get several similar questions where you rate 1-5 based on strong agree or strongly disagree and you'll get many obvious questions like "I would rather stay at home than go out on the weekends with my friends" or "if I am invited to a party I will attend without hesitation". These types of multiple choice tests will always be easy to fake but it takes a conscious psychopath to purposefully lie and fill in the wrong bubbles; I just wish the talked more about how she detected such deceit in such a test but ambers not particularly smart just because she knew how to game it although her analysis was still spot on. All she really said was "well its complicated" but I really wish she had more time and they'd allow her to properly explain it beyond the superficial explanation she was forced to give due to the imposed time constraints...

As somebody who has BPD I can tell you that it is an extremely difficult thing to live with, it is like some other force has control over and your emotions. I think it is important to note that being Borderline does not automatically make you a bad person. I have the self awareness enough to seek to understand my disorder and take accountability for my actions when I let it get the best of me. I think there’s something else at play here with her like narcissistic tendencies that are causing her to attempt to destroy another persons life just because she didn’t get her way. I have never gone that far even with people who legitimately did abuse me. Anyway I’m not defending her because I absolutely think that she is guilty but I would hate for her to become the poster child for BPD because most of us are really trying to get through life with a sometimes emotionally debilitating disorder the best that we can
