Thats why i have the Forced rotation cordless jon, no pad stall put the DA does jewl the paint better and is a lot easier to use for getting that ultra deep gloss
Lake Country HydroTech pads are what I have always used (red or orange, 80 or 140mm) with great results by DA. I may be wrong but the new Ninger pads seem like an expensive gimmick in my opinion. I love the Black compound, though. It never seems to flash, can work it for hours and it never dusts up. The finish ends up ready for wax.
I was quite impressed with the s2 black using a blue ninja pad on a da, used it to reduce some scratches on a bumper from the dog getting in and out (unless it still had some shock to cut in there 😜)
Jon have you used that "matting" compound from Scholl....basically like light sanding from what they describe...just curious how it gets on looks like a really interesting product.
Which of these 3 products do you think I should use is more permanent and the effect is long.... i was caught between auto glym alex hybrid, scholl s20 black real and 3d 510 cake, which one do you think I should buy you seem to be very experienced in this regard
Jon careful on the shelf life on that Car Pro Lite on the shelf. I think mine went bad...yes it was sealed shut by the cap and the product made a airtight seal from drying at the tip-top. Please for shits and giggles apply that product to a panel and tell me if it was a nightmare.....just curious if yours went bad also....?
Please focus on the products and their pad combinations rather than focusing the camera on yourself. To the point and crisp videos are required please. I watched the whole video and still don't know where the Ninja pads stands as far as the school lineup goes
i use that trick of soaking the pads in a tupperware overnight everytime i use a pad keeps them clean....but that darn S20 Black with the blue die made my green pad go blue :(
@@oli31 i did give each pad 1 spray of apc, lightly worked it in, then soaked them overnight in hopes of getting the die that is put in the compound. but just make sure to rinse them out thuroughly when you use an apc
Great job! 👍 From what temperature is there a danger for the clear coat ?. (Theoretically, because the hardness of the clear coat must be taken into account?) 👋🇫🇷 Thank you
Got to be careful singing Rolf Harris songs these days.... Though it's clear to see why many pro detailers wear noise cancelling headphones and listen to music when polishing otherwise you'd go deaf quite quickly doing that all day
H9 is closer to S2 black. S2 shock cut is like on another level in terms of cut, but I dont think Shockcut is suitable for guys at home really. I think you need to be carefull about cutting too rapidly. H9 is about right so is s2 black. I would not really care too much which one I used. But I do prefer F6 over S20 and M3 over S40, so I lean to Koch now.
@@nikistefanovv I bet PF out cuts and out glosses F6 but F6 will be more consistent. sometimes as I go around a car with perfect finish it starts gunking up on me and sticking. With Koch I cant really find any faults H9 F6 M3 are all great so i would say go with F6. some say they are too oily, I dont find that. My favorite ranking in abrasives would be something like koch, scholl, menz, meguiars. I could stick other names in there but they are not OEM.
loool shock to cut + blue spider pad remove 50% deffects from black german paints been washed by giant brushes for years. Thats after 2 passes and dual action polisher. 5 cars all same results. i feel like abrolon discs whole car p2000 , will take about 30 discs and then s 3 gold other ways nothing is cutting it to perfect after 2 passes. Not even after 4 passes. 6 maybe
Jon bring back the old intro with the guitar and rock music :)

Like the s2 black, seems to work good, takes swirls out nicely but use it carefully
i love when you do polishing videos, feel free to post more like this informal on the go vids
Really interesting Jon - we had Shock2Cut in the Megatest for the issue just about to come out
cool stuff bert. certainly cuts like crazy which could be what most people are after but just find it a bit harder to use than S3 gold or S2 black.

To solve the spitting issue with the cap, press the cap into the pad to close it - any excess goes into the pad.

Mine went bad in 4-5 months. Didn't notice it and it was a nightmare removing it. Was like jelly in the bottle.

Would like to see that demo on a Black panel
How does my old bottle of Koch H8.02 compare against these products ? :)

What do you soak them in? Just water?
@@oli31 just water, sometimes ill put a cloth/rag thats soaked on top of the pads to keep them submerged.

That concave pad that you said for rotary looked fine on the da
Great job! 👍

140f according to Yvan Lacriox. or if you raise the temp but more than +80f

Still good that Australia was somewhat appreciated in this vid......
Two years on - any fresh observations?
Does koch chemie h8 02 have a heavier cut than either scholl black or shock 2 cut?
my same tought
H8 is more like a medium cutting polish... H9 is more like the s2
Jon i thought i was going crazy when you first told me about this video because i couldnt find it lol
yer sorry dave I thought i had already published it, theres me saying Id already reviewed it lol.
I guess the obvious question is koch heavy cut better? I struggle with my two VW's do you think it would help?

@@ForensicDetailing For me it is a difficult choice between the two brands thanks for the advice.

Forensic Unplugged I some guys on yt saying f6 is better then pf and I agree
Do you have a link to, or the make/model of the infrared thermometer you are using?
i dont sorry rob it was like 10 pounds on ebay. bought about 3-4 years ago.
@@forensicunplugged4295 Thanks Jon. I will have a look around. Clearly don't need to spend a fortune then. I will look around the £20 mark I think.
Btw Jon Iv asked scholl they said the spider pads and non spider are designed for da and rotary
just get the non spider ones if you can trust me, the cuts make no difference.
Forensic Detailing Channel I am there quite a bit cheaper as well
Tie me kangaroo down 🤣🤣🙈

i cant even get my hands on S2 Black Limited Edition lol its sold out or not in stock :)))
