Can't believe it was 3 years ago since I found this video, but anyway. Obviously you probably know they all phased out like a year ago but still I found it weird that last month when I went back to Japan, the absence of the singing train just made me feel kinda sad. Yeah I do love all the other inverters like IGBT, PMSM and SIC-MOSFET. But just like family when you lose one, it aint the same. But there was still some great GTO inverters still in operation so I still enjoyed all of the sounds.
Wow the traction sounds are very similar, and the motor types are in the same group! I’m guessing the N1000 is using pulse signals, so that’s why it sounds like a car changing gears. The R160B is using a single traction. It doesn’t use pulse signals like the N1000
Keikyu N1000 Series Wasn't The 1st. In 1995, E501 Series Also Recieved Siemens GTO-VVVF. During Life-Extention Refurbishment The GTO-VVVF Was Replaced With IGBT-VVVF From Toshiba. Which Made it More Boring. If Siemens Delivered Parts For It's GTO-VVVF Traction Motors Then All E501 Series Railcars Would Be "Singing Trains Of JR East"
Btw just to inform you with a few mistakes you made. Most of the N1000 got replaced with IGBT-VVVF systems and like maybe 2 sic-vvvfs. And the R160 train is GTO not IGBT just wanted to let you know :)
People: NOO YOU CAN'T JUST CREATE MUSIC WITH TRAINS, IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE Siemens: Haha BR 182 Taurus, N1000 GTO VVVF and ICE 1 GTO go brrrrrrrrrRRRRRRR
I'm going to have to go with Both trains. next time make it better by adding in the Germans and the austrians DB MRCE Baureihe 182 ÖBB Baureihe 1016/1116
Last year and a half ago I got to see a keikyu N1017 Siemens gto before it got replaced and now I'm kinda sad. and I think the N1033F series will get replaced march 31st. Sad times :(
If you want to see the the siemens gto I saw go to my instagram to see the video. My username MS_hanzomon. It was posted 17 of October 2018 the day I saw it
I'm normally biased towards NYC, but man the Keikyu sounds so good! It may be slow to start, but once it gets going, it hauls some serious ass.

1:04 sounds like PST-3R from PTA 5th avenue lines in Roblox
It's where the sound originates from.

NYCT R160B Q-Train Siemens GTO-VVVF🇺🇸👍🏻❤️
160 sounded smoother and without that hiccup at the beginning between the phases
The keikyu in a landslide. It's so much more musical and unparalleled
I wonder who would be the quickest accelerating on a straight line

NYCT R160B SIEMENS GTO is the best 🇺🇸👍🏻
I love both but the N1000 wins this battle by a landslide. It sounds so beautiful!😊
Thanks from last time!
BTW, I said all but 1001F were replaced with IGBT-VVVF, 1001F was replaced with SiC-VVVF.
Actually no the 1016F also had sic-vvvf
@@vse7327 Really? Because I literally saw a video of a refurbished 1016F(1009F, actually) using the Toyo IGBT.

Just one: 1001F. The rest are with Toyo Denki IGBT.
Nah the r160 is IGBT SITRAC. These came after the Siemens GTO era.

The end of keikyu n1000 sounds like a BN S1/S2 cuz the both use GTO-VVVF ☆
i prefer both. if i were to have 1 choice, japan
Oh btw I shared your video to my twitter :)
Thank you so much! I’ll give you a shoutout in the next vid! :)
Thanks I appreciate it. And your welcome

Who would win:BR 182, ICE 1 or N1000 (with Siemens GTO VVVF)
the r160s were made by alstom, kawasaki and siemens
R160B is much smoother when it comes to transitions between the sounds
Sorry but I like the japan one

Siemens GTO-VVVF Inverters Were Replaced Because Of Lack Of Substitute Parts For Them. It Was The Same To E501 Series

No. Keikyu N1000 Won. Because JR East E501 Series And Keikyu N1000 Series Were The Singing Trains. R160B Has Boring IGBT-Like Inverters.
