Ima just be completely state a fact here Rank Mode is one of the worst idea for NBA specifically Yes with cheaters but there’s also more to it, as you mentioned if your diamond you shouldn’t be playing against/with someone whose bronze But matchmaking for 2k never been that good even if it’s been a bit better for 24 it’s still overall some shit And with a game like 2k and a community that is around 2k numbers do drop and at some point you may end up with mixtures of all rank when it leads to less ppl playing OT Think of it like what COD said about SBMM They understand that for no one wants to go against sweaty players and you end up leaving your matches etc So what they do? They not only by the data that’s given but also the type of matches players play So on both ends each team should or is balance to same extent but the problem still persist in the matter cause no one likes to go against sweaty players So even with a rank mode if you know 90% are casuals that makes up for the community your gonna cater to that more And casuals could mean anything not just ppl who have lives (Throwing that out there)
