I'm here after watching the Netflix live action which was awful. Thank you for making this - it was absolutely INCREDIBLE. You captured the essence of Spike and Jet in every way. This was perfect, great job. Hope to see more some day!
This is exactly what Spike should of looked like in the Netflix adaptation. Doe like eyes that are half dead and half alive, lanky and tall build with the signature messy tuff hair. More importantly, Spiegel the last name being of German and Jewish origin, this actor nailed it when it comes to skin tone and eye colour. Too bad they race swapped everyone...
Ya’ll nailed Spike’s sweeping kicks and stylish footwork. The camera angles and editing are really good too and totally capture the Bebop vibe. With money for vfx and extras to make the world feel a little more lived in, this could be perfect.
Fans make it faithful and legendary. Great at best. Okay at worst. Corporations and companies symbolize collectivism and agenda and they can stagnate and change some parts of the products that can turn stale or consumerist to the point that it stakes quickly after.
as a consumer I would love M O R E, this was so spot on, from how the characters interact with each other, Spike’s fighting style and personality, the camera work, THIS WAS FLAWLESS!
Honestly, if Netflix actually cared about making their Live Action Cowboy Bebop great, they'd probably hire you guys and the actors, give you a larger budget, and let the magic work. Of course... this is Netflix, which means you're either getting really awesome stuff, or really bad stuff.
This was really good. How you portrayed Spike with his humor and the fight choreography was spot on. I also really liked the little chuckle after he kicked Jet in the mouth 😂 amazing job!
Thank you and that's amazing to hear because I did storyboard every scene before we shot it :) Check out the bts and anatomy of a fight to see just how much prep went into it!
After watching the Netflix series, this was a breath of fresh air. I loved every single scene in this film, the fight scenes were mind blowing and just so damn impressive. I don't know how you guys pulled it off but ya'll did an amazing job. Justin nailed Spike's charisma and his iconic fighting style, he was just so natural you could actually believe he was the real Spike. Also the choreography is put together so well, it's not clunky, no weird extra movement. It's kinetic, well paced, and dynamic. Words cannot describe how incredible this is. Huge props to everyone! Keep up the good work fellas!
Everything about this was great - the tone, the choreography, the movement, the cinematography, all of it was faithful to Cowboy Bebop! The quips and humor are far better than what the writers at Netflix were able to produce (the part with Spike kicking Jet was hilarious and feels like something that would totally happen in the Cartoon). The casting was great, you need actors who actually know martial arts to make cowboy bebop believable, especially for Spike (and if they look like him too all the better!) and you guys didn't disappoint - the action was on par with big budget flicks, bravo! For a fan film this is excellent! The actor may not have looked like Spike, but his mannerisms and moves made him feel far more like Spike than the Netflix series.
A cowboy bebop short film was the first movie I ever made 9 years ago and it was not even 1/100th as good as this! This is so inspiring, the gear, the actors, the fight scenes, even the comedy! And I am someone who knows how hard adapting bebop can be, you guys did an amazing job, congrats !
Honestly, if the NEtflix version is as good as this, I will be happy. Great job 'raising the bar'. The choreography alone was better than 90% of pro level action shows and movies. Be proud.
OMG! GREAT FRIKKIN' JOB! What I love is the clear attempt at playing with the camera and getting the same kind of feel off of Spike. Slipping some of his signature moves into the fight choreography is top notch. Despite the low budget, you guys absolutely killed it. Thank you!

Awesome to hear! That was our whole goal, as huge fans of the show, we just wanted to create something that paid as much respect to the original as possible!
What I loved most above everything else (and I loved everything else) Was the fuck-ups, Spike taking hits, getting bodied, falling on his ass, kicking Jet in the face, so true to the character.
This was so good and felt so true to the original series, even the comedy like Spike kicking Jet or going for the smoke break etc was super well done, now we need a full series of this

Now this is what the live action SHOULD look like! Amazing and authentic, the fight/camera angles/music is seriously taking my breath away. Awesome work, this is legit so cool!
Wow, thank you! We're glad everyone seems to enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it! Thank you for the kind words!
Thus is probably 100 times more faithful than the diarrhea dump that's coming from Netflix
Probably way better than the Netflix adaptation will be.
or probably not
@@destroyerzilla7634 fake fan spotted
Considering Netflix has made it clear that they don't care to follow the source material, I'd bet you're right.
They're just trying to dilute the quality people associate with anime and claim their bs narratives are now canon, which they are not.

How is he a fake fan
We haven’t even gotten to see the Netflix adaption yet y’all overeacting over a show we haven’t gotten to see yet
@@trees1922 when japanese Twitter is roasting it too it will be definitely thrash and you must be a Fake Fan too. no real Fan would accept this false amateur appearance. watch the Anime series you fake fan. only then you will fully understand.
Already the fighting sfx is better than the Netflix one
This entire fan film will be a million times better that whatever live action crap Netfix will bring.
no one has seen the netflix series, don't talk about things you don't know
@@destroyerzilla7634 I've seen the teaser trailer. YIKES.
Aged like fine wine 🍷
Not gonna lie..... this is much better than the netflix adattation
That smoke break mid-fight killed me. Justin's body language is brilliant.
okay... this was actually very awesome.
also... I am ready to hate any kind of remixes of Kannos work...but damnit. I like what you did. the whole title intro and credits were fucking boss. excellent job. Honestly if Netflix did this I wouldnt be mad at all.
We are extremely skeptical of a lot of adaptations as well, but we love this show so much. We're glad that you enjoyed it!! It really was created for fans by fans.
This is definitely better than Netflix adaptation!
I'm here after watching the Netflix live action which was awful. Thank you for making this - it was absolutely INCREDIBLE. You captured the essence of Spike and Jet in every way. This was perfect, great job. Hope to see more some day!
Thank you for being more faithful to this series than Netflix ever could
Better acting than the current show on Netflix
This is exactly what Spike should of looked like in the Netflix adaptation. Doe like eyes that are half dead and half alive, lanky and tall build with the signature messy tuff hair. More importantly, Spiegel the last name being of German and Jewish origin, this actor nailed it when it comes to skin tone and eye colour. Too bad they race swapped everyone...
Thought exactly the same. I like john choo, but he is not Spike to me at all.
That choreography along with the sound design is phenomenal!
Absolutely
All that was missing was the bell peppers and beef. Nice work guys.
They couldn't afford it!
Dude... 5:30 was so awesome, and the little smirk Spike gives is priceless!
Now, this is a love letter to the series, not whatever Netflix was doing. Major props.
Ya’ll nailed Spike’s sweeping kicks and stylish footwork. The camera angles and editing are really good too and totally capture the Bebop vibe.
With money for vfx and extras to make the world feel a little more lived in, this could be perfect.
My favorite part is that this was made with love, and they're not insulting the fans like Netflix.
you guys did a far better job than netflix , congrats
outclassed the netflix series
This is already better than the Netflix. Spike actually have confidence on this one.
Haha :) Awesome. Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the kind words!
Honestly, if Netflix actually cared about making their Live Action Cowboy Bebop great, they'd probably hire you guys and the actors, give you a larger budget, and let the magic work.
Of course... this is Netflix, which means you're either getting really awesome stuff, or really bad stuff.
So good! Incredible job everyone involved!
Thanks so much @cam'screations !!
Thanks for checkin it out Cam!
Yay, glad you liked it Cam.
With the Netflix version officially out and officially terrible, this fan film looks even better.
This was really good. How you portrayed Spike with his humor and the fight choreography was spot on. I also really liked the little chuckle after he kicked Jet in the mouth 😂 amazing job!
The cinematography is phenomenal. If you drew out these scenes on a storyboard anime-style, you'd swear it was from the series.
Thank you!! We're stoked that it's resonating with the fans and are excited to produce more episodes!
Now that's live action bebop done right
Hell Yeah!!🙏🙏
Geez the choreography in those fights were golden! Good work to everyone involved 👏🏻
Thanks man! From one lover of bebop to another that mean so much!
아니 무슨 팬필름 액션이 넷플보다 퀄리티가 높아
Honestly, if the NEtflix version is as good as this, I will be happy. Great job 'raising the bar'. The choreography alone was better than 90% of pro level action shows and movies. Be proud.
We're hoping it's going to be good! If not we'll be back with episode 2 soon enough! :)
OMG! GREAT FRIKKIN' JOB! What I love is the clear attempt at playing with the camera and getting the same kind of feel off of Spike. Slipping some of his signature moves into the fight choreography is top notch. Despite the low budget, you guys absolutely killed it. Thank you!
Better than netflix
You probably didnt Watch the Netflix one
@@LazyInternet I did. It was okay... mostly cringy but ok..
I bet they did.
Just finished the netflix adaptation and...it wasnt too bad but Justin is still the better Spike. We need your adaptation to be a thing!!
"it wasnt too bad" lmao

Dayuuuum this got the vibes, bro can you and Netflix just partner up ...(well it's out so welp that's that but u did well in this one)
I clicked thinking "this'll be fun" but man I'm floored over just how awesome this was.
Great choreography, it got the characters right and I love how the session was named after a Rolling Stones song.
Great tribute to my all-time favourite anime.
Amazing job and my deepest respect to everyone in front of and behind the camera.
You're the first person to call out the rolling stones reference! We love how much of a fan Watanabe was of RS! From one fan to another, we're so stoked you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words Space Cowboy and we'll be back with another episode soon!
honestly the most accurate fan film I've seen yet! the actors fit their character design and personality to well!!! I cant stop watching this over and over again lol
Such high praise! Thank you!!! We tried our best to nail these characters! So glad you're enjoying it!
If there's any show that NEEDS a modernized reboot, it's Cowboy Bebop.
I cried because this was so well done. I cried because I wish people with this much passion were the ones given the spotlight.
Better than Netflix. Now i want to see Faye.
Then you're going to like Episode 2. :)
@@RogueOriginFilms ooooh U guys are working on a episode 2?? I’m hyped to see it
wow the choreographies, the music, the actors in short, it has the essence of cowboy bebop. great job.
Awesome to hear! That was our whole goal, as huge fans of the show, we just wanted to create something that paid as much respect to the original as possible!
Better than the 2021 Netflix series. Yes, I actually tried.
The dialog just felt a little off to me but I'd be completely shocked if Netflix managed to do the fight scenes any better. Well done guys.
It baffles me how fans with barely any budget beats big companies with astronomical budget.
This looks way better than the netflix adaptation.
How does this have better fight choreography than the Netflix adaptation.
I know that the Netflix adaptation haven’t premiered yet but I bet their fight coreographies won’t be as good as yours!
You guys rock!
What I loved most above everything else (and I loved everything else)
Was the fuck-ups, Spike taking hits, getting bodied, falling on his ass, kicking Jet in the face, so true to the character.
This was so good and felt so true to the original series, even the comedy like Spike kicking Jet or going for the smoke break etc was super well done, now we need a full series of this
After watching the original, the Netflix "adaptation," and this fan film I can now confirm that this is 100% more accurate and enjoyable than the Netflix one. Good stuff!
