This is a well done program and shows the quality of Gay, Lesbian people and their contributions. They are our people like any other.

This was very informative... unbelievable that history is kept from the public because these people were gay. It's the first time I have ever heard of Bayard Rustin!!! All black people, gay or straight, should learn about him and MLK... not just MLK!

Wonderful to see Jamison Green here talking about Billy Tipton at the 27:48 mark.

Today is the *9* year anniversary of when "Historical Blindness" was uploaded! I had never heard of these people until now. I can see why. I wouldn't say that things are *great* for LGBTQ+ people now, especially in some states where anti-LGBTQ+ bills are on the docket, but they are definitely better than in the past! 🤓🏳️‍🌈

I don’t see why two gay people (male or female) would make anyone blush. The only time I was ever intolerant of them was when I was indoctrinated with religion.
Although I still read the Bible, and identify as Christian, I recognize the fact that the Bible does give people freedom of choice for any decisions that they make. Once I recognized this, that was enough for me.
My cousin was my best friend. Yes, he was gay, and enjoyed cross-dressing. We used to play dress up and played with my Barbie Makeup 💄 kit when I was a kid. My cousin loved sparkling things, as he loved Patti LaBelle and Sylvester. I was mortified when I watched his homophobic father beat the hell out of him when he caught us playing dress up. From then on, my cousin suppressed his homosexuality, confiding only in me.
My cousin killed himself, as he could no longer suppress his homosexuality. Several and years later, my father died (this year) on the day that he committed suicide, as a result of COVID-19. So, right now, I’m grieving for two people.
Gays are harmless, and ppl should leave them alone.

So very sorry, what killed your cousin was society's homophobia. We just want to live like every body else but unfortunately mostly religious people, doesn't matter which religion, are still very homophobic and patriarchal.
We are not the problem, too bad people do not evolve...I call them poor on the emotional level.

I feel you.But please leave the Holy Scriptures out of it.For it speaks plain on the consequences for CHOOSING this lifestyle.I am not homophobic.I have two grown sons out in this world.Would I want them to CHOOSE this lifestyle....of course not However,I am not a fool.Should either or both go this way....those are still MY BABIES and I am gone LOVE and RESPECT them until I'm called to meet The Great I Am Himself....
