Absolutely love this movie. This reminds me the innocence of my 20s and the romance that comes with it. I feel this movie is very relatable and it doesn't even feel like a movie with how natural and realistic this portrays back in the 90s before technology and social media went rampant post 2000s
If the trilogy didn't hit so close to home, and if my 'Celine' wasn't 'the one who got away', these 3 movies would be top of my all time favorites. As it is, they are reminders, albeit cinematic brilliant ones, of what might have been. Life...go figure, eh?
Alright, I have an admittedly insane idea, but if I don't ask you this, it's just, uh, you know, its going to haunt me the rest of my life. I want to keep talking to you, y'know. I have no idea what your situation is, but, uh, but I feel like we have some kind of, uh, connection. Right? Yeah, right, well, great. So listen, so here's the deal. This is what we should do. You should get off the train with me here in Vienna, and come check out the town. Come on. It'll be fun. Come on. All I know is I have to catch an Austrian Airlines flight tomorrow morning at 9:30, and I don't really have enough money for a hotel, so I was just going to walk around, and it would be a lot more fun if you came with me. And if I turn out to be some kind of psycho, you know, you just get on the next train. Alright, alright. Think of it like this. Um, uh, jump ahead, ten, twenty years, okay, and you're married. Only your marriage doesn't have that same energy that it used to have, y'know. You start to blame your husband. You start to think about all those guys you've met in your life, and what might have happened if you'd picked up with one of them, right? Well, I'm one of those guys. That's me, y'know, so think of this as time travel, from then to now, uh, to find out what you're missing out on. See, what this really could be is a gigantic favor to both you and your future husband, to find out that you're not missing out on anything. I'm just as big a loser as he is, totally unmotivated, totally boring, and, uh, you made the right choice, and you're really happy
Before Midday (or Noon)? Sunrise, Sunset, Midnight, Midday....quarter past 3 in the afternoon. The next film won't be for 9 years, Jesse / Celine will be 50, Hank, Ella and Nina will be around 20 may go on to have their own romantic encounters with strangers in Europe. I wish I could find a girl who liked these films.
Preston Steiners I am pretty sure there are many(*I personally loooave it, like as if a part of me wants some of their dialogues inside me) ... You'll definitely meet somebody someday, you know like out of the blue.. Who knows maybe have a similar story to share 😊
I feel like no one ever asked me to get off the train with them, that`s sad, lovely movie btw, my favorite, it is almost like realistic magic (if that exist)
I keep thinking that they cannot make a 4th installment because they named the 3rd movie "Before Midnight." What would they call it? I'm really upset because I want them to keep making these movies until they are old.
Physical appearance, your body, is as much a part of you as your thoughts and feelings. There's this pseudo-myth of the massively overweight, unkempt person concealing a wonderful personality and genuine soul. But the reality is, a person like that is likely to have trauma repetitions and a lot of pathology,- mental illness that would make it very difficult to actually, love them. Nobody who weighs 300 pounds is mentally all together man.
@@tylerchambers6246 well yes but also no. Some physical defects (or plain unatractivness) can be from genetics which are not the reflection of someone's personality
The end of before midnight brings this scene and the rest of the movie to full circle. Pure perfection
+dford145 Yeah. It's vertiginous.
Only found out about these movies now in my 30s. And man wow! Brings it rights back. Incredible writing!
“Think of this as time travel”
And it was improvised ❤
Disagree!!!!! This was a ONE TIME CLASSIC...the sequels RUINED IT!!

Such a beautiful film...so romantic and yet so realistic... Linklater, Deply and Hawke are simply amazing and incredibly talented... a perfect trio...
one of the greatest pick up line

The two met becuz they saw a couple arguing, then 20 years later they kind of became like that couple, watch before Before Midnight
It would be funny if the train just started moving.
Vijay Luhan Then they would pull the emergency brake.
The ending in the third before movie brings it back to full circle

Next year it'll be 9 years since Before Midnight, let's see if it actually happens

@@Cut_Travel_Repeat it doesnt really happen that way

Before dawn! Maybe... Gah I hope they make another oooone!!!!
Pianofied Before Dawn would be like Before Sunrise pretty much, it should be Before Noon, opposite of midnight
Maybe it should be After Midnight…?
I like this scene. Believe me: life is this.

What about "Before Dawn"?
AbbyOReilly they won't. It's a trilogy
Julie, Ethan and Richard Linklater have all said there could be another movie.
"Before Twilight"
AbbyOReilly “Before We End Up In Divorce Court”
me and my wife met in a train.....to busan
I think the next movie could be "After midnight...." That night at the Peloponeso is a good starting point from which to go on with the stroy.
Found my monologue scene now
Elegant
My overcautious ass would never. Dude could be a psycho.
She was really pretty
Tried this once on a greyhound bus. Didn’t work.
worth a shot lol
Anybody wanted to travel meet a random cute girl across the country! And do this?!
Hello there 🍊
Drama!
aaaaaaaand we're getting raped.
what? lol
I would have liked him to feel that he had 'energy' with a 20 stone girl with frizzy hair and buck teeth.
That would have been refreshing.
Physical attraction is part of falling for someone, contrary to what we want to believe looks do matter 🤷
😂

Yeah, but you think that the girl will join to the boy in the adventure if he was some fat, bald and toothless guy?
