    I am a real world Airbus pilot with thousands of hours flying the real aircraft and thought it would be fun to have a look at the detailed simulations of the 'bus in MSFS and X Plane. Hopefully you find this useful and it brings another perspective to your simulation. Any thoughts or comments are welcome!

    Fantastic. Not only learned how resiliant the Airbus is, but it is helping me with my understanding of how the dynamics of the plane all work. Thank you.

    Thoroughly impressive, aircraft, simulated aircraft and so very well explained. That is a level beyond which I never imagined a home simulator to be able to attain. Thsnk you for your skill in demonstrating these many failures to us and for the wonderful approach at Christchurch. Merry Christmas and safe flying.

    Reason for first failure diagnosed: there is a gantry stuck in your aircraft.

    Great stream, really interesting to get such a detailed insight into some of the safety side. Airline flying and it’s safety profile seems like magic - but who would’ve thought it ? It turns out instead to be a shed load of planning, design, training, expertise and rehearsal all working together. I had only just started to improve my ratio of takeoffs to landings - and here is another world to consider 😂. Thanks again.

    I thought I had failures turned off but I actually had a start valve fault on No. 2 engine over the weekend. I couldn't work out how to clear it via the mcdu so had to restart my flight. Sorry I missed you stream live but I'm not subbed on Twitch.
    Thanks for all your training vids. Helped me no end.
    Edit. Really enjoyed this video. Thanks

    So was the jetway at the beginning a GSX issue? I quit using it because of these types issues. Most of this type of problem went away when I deleted GSX.

    Great video as always and very interesting! Quick question... I've noticed when retracting flaps from 1 to zero, the max speed red bars disappear immediately. But in a Boeing aircraft, they gradually disappear upwards as the flaps/slats retract which makes more sense because of course the flaps don't retract instantly. Is this true in the real A320 or do the red bars vanish immediately just in the sim? Thanks

    • @tomstravels520
      @tomstravels520 Рік тому +1

      Taken from an airbus article:
      "On A300/A310, A320 and A330/A340 Families, the VFE value displayed on the PFD is based on the slats / flaps control lever position and it moves by one step as soon as this lever is moved.
      The overspeed aural warning triggering threshold varies according to the actual aircraft configuration, i.e. the slats / flaps surfaces real time position.
      Therefore, during slats / flaps transition, the dynamic acceleration of the airplane may lead to a temporary OVERSPEED WARNING even if the current speed is out of the red and black strip displayed on the PFD. In this situation, there are neither operational consequences nor safety issues.
      This is due to the following logic:
      When the flap lever is moved from CONF 2 (or 3) to CONF 1+F, F speed could be very close to VFE before flaps retraction. Once the flap retraction is initiated, VFE CONF (2 or 3) moves in one step to VFE CONF 1+F before the flaps actually reach CONF 1+F. As a consequence, in acceleration towards S speed, the VFE aural warning could activate although the actual surfaces speed is below the displayed VFE.
      When the flap lever is moved from CONF 2 (or 3) to CONF 1+F, S speed could be greater than VFE CONF 1+F before the surfaces retract. When automatic flap retraction occurs, the barbers pole does not move before the flaps fully retract.
      On A350 and A380 Families, a different logic was developed. The VFE display on the PFD is directly based on the actual aircraft configuration, as is the overspeed aural warning triggering threshold. This means that the two signals are perfectly synchronized, thus the risk of an untimely temporary overspeed warning is eliminated."

    1:30:08 @320 Sim Pilot Aren't the rudder pedals physically linked by cables to the rudder in the A320?

    • @tomstravels520
      @tomstravels520 Рік тому

      They're mechanically controlled by hydraulically actuated so loss of hydraulics would mean no rudder. However since this year newly made A320 family aircraft now have an electronically controlled rudder

    Hey quick question: does Fenix let you post on UA-cam without a business agreement? They seem to be strict with regards to making it “for private consumer use only.”

    • @Spectrify_LIVE
      @Spectrify_LIVE Рік тому

      Kinda late getting back to you on this 😂 but, when they say for private use only they mean you operating it for fun or pleasure without making money from it, making a video doesn’t count as using it for business purposes since the audience doesn’t have any access to play the game with the plane model. Most companies, especially sim companies, actually like when people make videos about their product. It’s just free advertising. But if he was to build a simulator and charge people to fly in it (obviously it would have to be on a bigger scale for them to notice/care) then that would be when they’d come after him.
