Great tutorial and result! I think the normals of your emitter was inverted, that's why you needed a negative normal velocity. I think recalculating the normals outside would be preferable. You can enable the face orientation in the viewport overlays to see if all faces are blue (meaning the normals point that way).
i am literally doing something that needs this, i was trying to use some smoke sims but they were not good enough i was kinda giving up on this kind of effect, i love you you are amazing keep the amazing work
@@JonasRoenn Yep! Mainly interface, it looks visually more straightforward to understand than the standard setup. You sir have a new Patreon supporter!
Hey Cesar! like the emitter itself? hmm probably could. The more particles you can kill that is not showing up in the frame, will help on the render time. :D
Hey I'm having trouble trying to replicate your particles. At the end they don't give me the same smoke feel (thick volumous) that yours has. It still just looks like particles. Additionally, the way your particles disspiate and move look much better in the final than the end of the demo. Feels like i'm missing a step or few techniques
For Changing particle color : Particles > Viewport as > set as Rendered. Before that ,Particles > Render > Render as object.
PLEASE DO OCTANE! There's a lack of Octane for Blender tutorials out there! Having another channel covering it would be 🔥🔥🔥
Totally agree!! It would be amazing.
Noted! 🙌
Jonas never fails to amaze us with such brilliant tutorials. :)
Da Shaan my man! thank you again! :D

Hey Ahmet! good to know! :D
brilliant tutorial, i was just wondering if you could explain how to make the concrete? or make a tutorial, thanks
Sir , I love you and I love your channel , Please keep going !
Sir, you are awesome! :D
This tutorial is also great.
How did you create the cracked-looking concrete?
Hey! its actually just a normal map. With the lighting helping to set the illusion. So it is not procedural.
Could you share your layout/setup for Blender? This seams a lot easier for me to follow coming from C4D. Awesome work!
Hey! What do you mean setup? Like the interface setting or?
@@JonasRoenn Yep! Mainly interface, it looks visually more straightforward to understand than the standard setup. You sir have a new Patreon supporter!

Please tell me, I can't give color to the particles, how do I do it?
Have you turned them into an actual mesh ? and not just the particle system instances.
how to turn them into actual mesh

Could you use the object itself to killparticles that goes inside it? (like the pot in the video)
Hey Cesar! like the emitter itself? hmm probably could. The more particles you can kill that is not showing up in the frame, will help on the render time. :D
please start bro

Are you particle amount large enough? As i Said in the video, go up to 500.000 or even more. Not the 25.000 i’m using in the tut 😉🙌
Had to look up the tdrm advection, is this name correct in this context?
hmm not sure haha - just saw a lot of people using the word for similar simulations :D
From where you got rocks ?
Agr apko mil jaye tu mjy bhi bta dena..
I cannot see the particles in my final render. I'm using 4.0.1.
Hmm havent tested on 4.0 - sorry to hear that
❤❤
Thanks Peshawa!
Wonder how it will look with a red sim of smoke
Yes! I actually thought about adding some smoke as well, but did not have the time for it! would be sick! :D
Damn bro that effect 🙏🙏can you share a link to those nice rock assets please.
From Megascans 🙌

Thanks!

I think Chat-Gpt/Ai came up with the title. 🤔
I think you are right 😂
