Originally, this was a spinoff title for Crash from the Tarzan world (he was very well hidden). Then someone 20 years later saw it fit to remake these games, but as Dark Souls. A bold move to be certain, but I think it worked in their favor.
God it's so satisfying hearing Johnny's final statement nowadays, N Sane sold incredibly well, we got The Reignited Trilogy, Nitro Fueled and Crash 4, long live the orange marsupial (and the purple dragon too).
Watching this video again after Spyro Reignited Trilogy was released and CTR Nitro-Fueled has been announced, truly makes makes the final minutes of this videos hilarious in hindsight.
Man 2017 is a revival for video gaming. Crash is back, Metroid Prime 4 is coming along with an official remake of Metroid 2, a new classic Sonic game, and even FUCKING BUBSY THE BOBCAT is back from the dead.
I'm looking more forward sonic forces. :P Also I kinda wanna give the new bubsy game a try. Like maybe it was like someone saw actual potential in the guy and wants to proof that a good game with him can be made. :)

I never say this (and I mean I NEVER say this), but the motion blur in this game looks GORGEOUS! With all the detail and polish that went into the graphics, it really just pulls everything all together. I never played the original games, but if I ever get a PS4, this is a definite buy for me. :D
I don't why everyone is bitching about Johnny not taking a lot of focus in the Kingdom Hearts marathon. Im ok with it. Because who knows that marathon might take most of the year. But if he misses out on Sonic Mania because of Kingdom Hearts. We will have problems.

I love how in this game Lives actually matter. Not like in most modern platformers that are so god damn easy that you'll end up having like 100 lives by the end of the game for just playing casually. Like all recent Sonic games i played. Generations, Sonic 4(specially in one of those casino levels that just throws lives at you non stop.), Lost World... In all those games i had well above 50 lives when i reach the end. Why are lives in those games to begin with if the stages are so easy you won't even need extra lives?
Generations, I hated that game. It was easy on purpose. Even the ranking system was lame giving out S Ranks easily. It was as if the game was made for babies. If you want an more intense and better platformer that is more passionate than Generations just go with Unleashed.

When it comes to Crash 1 I have a lot of memories of the PS1 version but nowadays just play the N.Sane trilogy version but with Crash 2 and 3 there is merit to playing the PS1 versions as well and as an Australian who still lives here I have only played the inferior PAL versions and yet I still think there is merit

well kinda Crash it's pretty generous with lives especially Crash 1 if you got Green Gem the game pretty much handed to you for 25 of them.
