- This video by Quidel provides a detailed molecular overview of the classical and alternative pathways for the complement system. The complement system is a multi-protein cascade of proteins that enhances the immune system to clear microbes and damaged cells.

That background music took me to the early 90s. Thanks for that!
My Immunology course is currently ripping me to pieces and this video gave me a sliver of hope.
HMX Immunology?
3APNHA its a branch of medicine
@@andrelomedico1473 not of my business, but she's asking whether she's asking immunology course on Harvard (HMX) or not.

words arent enough to express how thankful i am
This was the ONLY demonstration that made me finally understand the complement system paths!!!! Thank you sooooo much!!!!!
you guys need to make more videos like these! they are super helpful!
You’re the real MVP for making this!!!
Perfect video!! Thank you for being so thorough! Maybe I won't fail my first immunology test after all! lol
Quite amazing! thank you so much, now i can get back to my immunology course, and will certainly understand it, for once.
final exam tomorrow and i really feel like i learn better from videos like this and is perfect when you want a quick summary to complement your notes.
You diamond. My lecturer couldn't explain this at all. Thanks x
This was a great video and really helped me understand the concept. Thank you so much and Please make more such videos
Great detail of explanation with superb animation
Bring more of such videos
Thankyuhh very much for such fantastic illustration!!!! Now i get to know way better than how my professor taught!!
This is the definition of perfection.
Very informative and also amazing way to understand complement pathway thank you so much 😊☺️
Thank you sooooooo much........this just saved a whole ass unit in immuno.
Amazing Video! Great explanation, fine animation and an interesting sound. I absolutley loved it!
Most helpful video in the universe ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ wish everything was explained like this
thank you for giveing us a clear vesion to keep in mand about complement,, algerian pharmacy student here ^^ thank you brother
Amazing and extremely clear explanation. Great animation👍👌
This helps so much! Great explanation and animation!
Fantastic! Very helpful video. Thank you!
Incredible! this teaches me about how my body works, and helps me understand the immune system in my body. Thank you very much.
Samuel Mashabela are u a 5 year old?
Samuel Mashabela ok mon
This is ridiculously good, THANKYOU
thank you so much for this life saving video.
It's never been this easy. I can't thank you enough

Thank you so much, this video is so helpful.
beautifully illustrated 👍👍
very well explained. thank you so much you are a life saver
Thank you very much! The video helps me a lot!!! Love you!
I love it I understand the complement system finally 🙌 thanks 😊
beautifully illustrated
This is so good!!! thank you so much!!
عظيم ..شكراً لجهودكم
So great! Thank you!
Great video! Thank you!!
Super animation
So easy to understand👍👌
That video makes the complement system simple
So perfect 🤓
Thanks ❤
Wonderfully explained
Amazing video!
I love this video Soo much
I will like another one like on T and B lymphocytes
It's very helpful for me. Thank you
You are amazing .... Thank you 😍
Wow I'm grateful.
beeeest video eveeer thank you so muuuuuuuch omg perfection
Amazing video, thanks
Thank you so much for this explaination , even that my studies are in french but i got it all now better than how my proffessor explained it lol
Wonderful explanation thanks
Waw clear explanation 😊 thank you so much
The best Explanation
Thank you so much for this
Great video ..it helps imagination 😍
Thank you for your help. We need video about mannan lactin pathway pleace 🙂
Thanks! this video helps a lot!!
Thank you for the amazing video 👏🏻
but where is the lectin pathway ? :(
God bless you for this
Interesting, this video said that the small pore allows water, ions and small molecules into the cell for lysis. While my lecture notes say that the small pore formed causes the contents of the cell to spill out
Probably depends on the osmotic pressures and solubilities of stuff both inside and outside the cell, which will determine whether water will go in or pour out.
Very clear ! Thank youuu
Incredible it has made me under complement system. Thank you
I have no idea what this is but it is interesting
perfect video!! but you must to talk about the lectin pathway
Highly appreciated
Thumbs up . keep it up
Thanku sir for this helpful video.I'm from India
Thank you so much 👏
amazinggggg mahn!!!
helpful videos ...thanks
Thank you soooo much!
Amaaazing video thank you very much
Hla
historically the larger fragment of C2 was called C2a but is now referred to as C2b ****
Cinthia Lizeth
Not true. All literature uses 2a.
Abbas, in his Basic Immunology book several years ago, tried to make this change but went back to the 2a designation.
@@raheelshafi882 however it's used used by major scientists in the field, e.g. Daniel Ricklin
Thank you!!
it would be good if you initially provided a simple overview of what the complement system is and does so that that description can be thought about as the detail is unfolded. its all detail and no overview of where that detail is going.
I would love to see the the lectin pathway
I understand now... I truly understand...
are c3a and c5a opsonin molecules?
I've seen other sources that state that C2b binds to C4b instead of C2a. Can you confirm whether this is true or not.
Great video. First view, 99 to go before its common knowledge!
wow thats so nice! Cool!
Properdin is missing in the alternative pathway.
Very nice video! BTW what is factor H?
Təşəkkürlər👍🏻👍🏻
C4bC2b is the updated C3 convertase.
Thank you😄
Amaaaazziiing content
Awesome thanks sir
Incredible, that activation of c3 convertase I.e c3bBb in alternative pathway amplified insoluble c3b to attach to the active surface of microbe, so there would be a lot of c3b on active surface..... Is that the mechanism of opsonization??? Need urgent answer
Yes !!
What does C4a do ?
where does the c5b come from in the last step if it initially formed a complex with c3bBbc3b, does c3bBbc3bc5b continue to cleave c5's?
I had the same question after watching this video, but the answer is yes the c5 complex continues to cleave c5
thank you good explanation
C2b+C4b is the C3 convertage as I know.
The music is awesome
so helpful
Thank you
amazing animation thanks😍😍😍
La via alternativa?
The C3 convertase complex is actually composed of C4b and 2b, not 2a
it would be C4b2b
Totally see where you're coming from, but it's technically not wrong because what researchers thought was C2a was actually C2b if that makes sense. They're also interchangeably used in the literature
Thanks
Its actualy a c2a not b the video is not wrong
best video ever
Sound is very low sir!
