Not necessarily, they could have rented them both.
Also people's vehicles do break down. I have had to rent one before because mine was in the shop . Wasn't going to keep me from going to the lake.
And the guys with 100k trucks arent?
Their trucks probably ended up in the water so they had to rent one.

I get they are inexperienced, but everyone has to start somewhere. Hopefully they will learn.

This is why my boat sits most of the weekends during the summer. Can't wait for the weekend warriors to put their boats up..
Weekends are horrible. Holiday weekends are even worse. I never go out any more on Sat or Sun.

Why? There's already a huge croc that hangs out close to the boats by one of the docks. And people in Florida are just used to seeing gators in the water anyway.
I’m from PSL,Florida, and we had Rivergate Park boat ramp, and it looks just like this one, mangroves and all. Anyway, after we came in, truck, boat loaded on trailer already parked in the farest part of the parking lot, we’d grab the beer cooler, sit back, and watch the show from the benches they had there! They really should’ve been called BLEACHERS, as it kinda got the reputation of a spectator sport! Memorial Day weekend was by far the best! Words cannot describe it! Too much laughter going on it was just comical sometimes! People launched boats without drain plug in, boat escapes into mangroves, and engines get stuck in branches, people get out of vehicle, and vehicle slowly starts too, well, you know. I think that the best one I heard was, “ Hey, do you have the ignition key?”
That guy with the jeep was classic. I should have gotten a pic of the boat ramp this weekend, guy dropped his trailer off turned around and reconnected with his front bumper so he could get the trailer down the ramp

My local lake has a rental company that comes out on the weekends with two of those. Nothing better that 8 inexperienced riders doing 60mph across a busy Saturday lake.
I saw one at my local last weekend - it took them more time to fit the straps on than it did for me to retrieve my boat and prep it for the road. More money then sense some of those people

Those guys with the jetski trailer don't know what they are doing.
But a longer trailer is less responsive as a short jetski trailer.. + that 3axle trailer was wider (visible in the mirrors all the time) the jetski trailer you can only see when the trailer is allready on a angle.
Those things make the bigger trailer easier to backup straight.

Guru, after letting us watch the struggle of the Jeep backing the jet ski trailer you should have asked us to vote on the loading of the ski...smooth or difficult, power or hand loaded, something. It just seemed like a premature ending as it was.

The Jeep guys not only had the drop hitch on upside down, which maybe they did on purpose to lower the back of the trailer, the coupler was sitting on top of the ball. One good bump and they'll be getting a surprise.

When backing a trailer crank the wheel stop to stop it really helps.

Grew up in Miami, and i can honestly say, I'm glad my old man taught me to launch boats when i was 12. I solo launch my boat using my Prius and I'm laughing at the commentary.

In the Morning!
Un-hitch the trailer from the Jeep and walk it down the ramp to the water then hook the Jeep back up. It's going to be tough backing that trailer when you can't see it in your mirrors until it's already jackknifed.
A few orange cones and an empty parking lot are the best place to practice trailer backing.
Look at the trailer jack @ 2:20.. Classic! ='D
The guy literally has IBR. That makes jet skis so much easier to use.
For me, the funniest thing about these videos is the fact that of all the trailers you will ever back up in you life, the easiest ones to back up are boat trailers. The longer the trailer the better. The key is to never turn your wheel more than a quarter turn in either direction. Go past 90 degrees on the wheel and you lose the trailer.

Been loading and unloading my 22 footer for 12 yrs. by myself. No problems. But I don't go out 4th of july, or labor day. Though it is great comedy to watch at the boat ramp.

I don’t understand how these people struggle so much with backing a trailer up. It’s not the EASIEST thing ever but it’s certainly not hard by any means. If you’re new to it the first thing I learned was put your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel and if you turn your hand left the trailer will go left, turn right the trailer will go right. Makes it much easier

More often than not, they don’t know what they’re doing. Gotta check out Antonio Maceo park, it’s the ramp for the airport lakes in Miami. Always a a good show there

They may have rented the jet ski, but definitely silly if someone bought a jet ski or boat without a vehicle to tow it.

The shorter the trailer is, the trickier it is to back up. Its objectively easier to back up a 52 foot trailer than a 10 foot utility trailer.

something i have noticed on your videos is that when someone is reversing the trailer into the water, they backup with the entire wheel and hub underwater? just over the rubber is plenty enough. especially for small boats and jetskis
