It's crazy to see that reverse aging is actually somewhat easier and earlier to accomplish than curing cancer and other diseases.
Follow the money......there's no profit in a cure for cancer. There is profit in 'anti-aging' technology.
I have said this before, they dont want to cure cancer. Trillions get invested to cancer research each year and still zero progress they are making too much money from it insurance companies and hospitals and those faceless men that own the hospitals and insurance companies are making so much money it isn't even funny. Also even if they did release a cure none of us can afford it because big companies will ensure they can keep milking their cash cow which is us.
We've been able to reverse cancer and other diseases for some time now, though we can't cure it just like we'll never cure aging.
True, this would most likely cure most diseases eventually.
Finding a cure will hurt big pharma
My dad had Alzheimer’s disease. This is what I fear most about aging. He wasn’t himself anymore. The person I knew was gone long before he passed away
Its a circulatory disease, your brain no longer gets nutrition and oxygen. Your brain is full of tiny blood vessels, if your arteries can clog up... those tiny blood vessels glog up first. That's why old men need blue pills, that's the first sign. Circulatory system is the most important organ.
But ask people to not eat meat and eat more vegetables, they will come up with insane excuses and conspiracies.
I remember when my teacher was absent one day from school. He came back the next day and sadly told us that his mother with Alzheimer doesn’t remember who he is anymore. I hope we can get this drug to prevent stuff like this from happening.
My mother has the same and I dread for that day. She's relatively young and I don't feel like I'm currently in a position to be able to support her
Look into mushrooms that can possibly reverse Alzheimer's. Some mushrooms are known to stimulate neurogenesis.
My mom is showing signs of schizophrenia, something that my grandmother got it due to what happened to her in her childhood.... she witnessed horrible things during the japan/china war. I noticed some changes in my mom, i didn't know what it was until two months ago when she started to say the cameras are following her, and she is hearing voices of guys wanting to harm her. I feel like she is gone and no longer there. The hardest part is accepting these changes in the people we know and love.... it feels like the person we know its gone.

I can't believe people are saying this you can treat your skin in so many ways, like having a good skin care routine that involves retinols that helps for fine lines and wrinkles, hyaluronic acid which is for plumpness, ceramides are for skin barrier to protect it,antioxidants help to protect skin from aging because it fights radicals, don't forget spf the sun also diet accelerate aging and causes collagen loss which is the cause of sagging and loss of firmness, so collagen+glycerin products or supplements are helpful you can also try fractual lazer different chemicals peels, especially phenol peels which is a very powerful peel but it's for heavily aged skin, it can go so deep as to affect the heart but there are other chemical peels for skin as well, can't believe people just sit and complain about wrinkles when so many things can be done humans are weird I forgot to mention there are many electro current devices you can use
@@TranceGurl20you do realize most of that stuff cost a lot of money an some people just can’t afford it.. Congratulations you're the one person who sees through this BS. Everyone claims they can cure cancer, alzheimers, aging, autism - that's how you get funding and prestige. It will be many decades before we solve any of these complex issues. We still don't even know what *causes* some of these things, let alone how to fix them.
Technology improved too in those 3/5 years, also it's mostly article writers who say that and not the scientists them self, keep that in mind.

Curious what, if any, effect this has on telomerase, which would mean this crosses over into affecting the actual genome. For those that are unaware, your chromosomes have protective caps on them called telomeres and they shorten with each mitosis cycle. Our germ line cells contain a ribozyme called telomerase that maintains telomere length, but our somatic cells repress the expression of telomerase but packing the genes for telomerase in heterochromatin, which prevents gene transcription.
I wonder if this kind of thing in the video converts this heterochromatin to euchromatin, which is (generally speaking) transcriptionally active, but can waffle between the two forms when packaged into something called facultative heterochromatin.

There was no such answer to that. That’s merely an answer based off fear. As far as it goes, it’s for everyone. Just like how theme parks and zoological parks are not meant for only the super rich.
Reverse aging, not anti-aging.
@@Differenshit I'm glad I found at least one comment on somebody seing through the bs
Where do I sign up? I'll be your first clinical trial... and today!
Tell me your afraid of getting old without telling me
I'm not scared of that I am scared of dying
I appreciate that this was a thorough exploration of the research (insofar as a news video allows, anyway), not a sensationalist piece. Realistic appraisals of the timeframe, going into some detail, showing visual evidence of the effects. Still good to be cautious, but it gives me some confidence.
Confidence life will lose all value and over population will be hastened while this "medicine" is only available to the obscenely rich? Do you know how much a life reverse treatment could be sold for? Life won't get better until we rise above money and class structures, capitalism makes the masses suffer so the "elite" can live in excess. Now the elites just wont die. The workers still will. The farmers feeding the world will NEVER afford this
Oh, I'm sure it it'll be expensive, at least at first. But remember that medical treatments do have a habit of lowering in cost over time, and I absolutely want to see generic versions that are widely accessible. I don't think it's as simple as "boo capitalism" - the problem is when any economic model isn't kept sufficiently in check.
@@aurelian1 This research is a laughing manner. I’m sick of this inappropriate approach on this unnatural way to approach reverse aging. Telling you the truth right now.
@@aurelian1 This is the truth. There has always been a natural way for anti aging. People are so naive & ignorant about it. No wonder we’re behind. Go vegan to reverse aging natural. Research & try it long term. Has to be approached correctly though. The real way. Not popping pills. We don’t grow pills on trees in nature lol. Stop feeding the pharmaceutical industry. They are just a distraction & only care about money. We can help our selves by eating better & taking care of our selves that way. Think of it, why do we have to do something so unnatural & modify it when we already know what’s truly healthy to eat? Fruits & vegetables. Duh. Common sense. Fruits & veggies are cheap. I’m just laughing at this baboonery on what the pharmaceutical industry is coming up with. There was always a way to reverse aging. People are just so naive on the simple truth. Other countries are miles ahead of us on this already. They are laughing behind our backs on how dumb we are to realize it. Wake up people! We’ve been juked all along! Stop falling for the pharmaceutical industry! I beg you! As an American.
@@Frugivorous That's just not true, I'm afraid. If veganism reversed aging we'd already have a legion of senior citizens with the bodies of 20-somethings. Natural is not automatically better; if we went all-natural, we'd succumb to disease and injuries decades before we usually do (early humans had a life expectancy of 20-30 years). I don't give pharmaceutical and other medical firms a free pass, but they still generally conduct sound research. Don't oppose something simply because it's mainstream or profit-driven; use your critical thinking skills. You can support synthetic treatments like this AND natural products, so long as they're supported by real, peer-reviewed science.
This is awesome, I would love to see my parents young again and go skiing with them! The only issue I could see with this is overpopulation.
Especially now that men can get pregnant lol

Bahahahahaha,

You’re still very young, too young in fact. In 10-15 years, revolutionary health technology is going to change the world. It is already now, slowly but surely. The young generation like you guys are lucky.

@@DakshPratap-nm8tw when i said 10-15, I didn't mean reverse aging. They're right, it will take a long-long time to realize that and the mere concept is a technological impossibility as of now. When I meant 10 to 15 years, i meant that technology will start to revolutionize the way we make medicine, scan diseases more accurately, prolong life expectancy and improve cell regeneration more efficiently etc etc . but reverse aging? too early for that and yeah reverse aging will only be a thing for special research and a selected few, society cannot have it because it will create instability everywhere. it's too dangerous for the common population.
but you, the young generation are still very lucky, you will live in era of abundant ever increasing science and technological research. Each modern generation's life expectancy in 1st world countries is increasing exponentially due to those factors.
I did a study on this a long time ago & simply a caloric deficit allowed less aging. Look at anyone who hasn’t been adequately nourished and they will look younger than their age
Hope my dad has 10-15 years left he’s 56 has glaucoma and suffered a tumor years ago that did that to him. I hope he has hope left. Prayers for everyone n Thankyou lord for science.
I really hope they succeed in making this reverse aging possible... This will be the greatest gift we humans can ever have.
Until you realize this will not be available for everyone, as something like this will be able to fetch a higher price than most will afford. Society will split into the haves and the have nots.

Somebody has probably already mentioned it, but he published a fascinating book about three years ago succinctly summarizing the biochemical basis of what he advocates … Exposing the body to cold, consuming organic vegetables and berries that contain bioactive compounds, doing sweat-inducing aerobic exercise and managing stress.
Most of the supplements he recommends are derived from plant foods …
Truly revolutionary but intuitively-pleasing concepts that we can all apply to promote our health span!
No, this isn’t an endorsement for the book, but a suggestion to purchase and skim the major points for those whose interest has been piqued!
It was featured in Veritasium channel. Look it up❤️
Wish they hadn’t cut him off at the end there. He was clearly excited to tell people how it worked, and I think more people need to learn how this stuff works so it won’t scare them.

Just no. Immortality is a curse, you will suffer
While people have their own views of extended life, curing the effects of aging is definitely a medical breakthrough everyone should have access too.
Yeah, but let's get real, this will just be something rich people do, especially politicians so they never have to leave office.
