Sorry to resurrect but just watched the vid. Very cool you are playing your old teacher, my Physics teacher set up a wargaming and roleplay club at school which has led to a lifelong hobby for me. Cheers Mr Fell. A gaming club chum just started Basic Impetus hence renewed interest. Happy gamng
Oh no resurrection is done here, that's why the battle reports are recorded so it can live FOREVER. Yeah, very nostalgic to get back to my high school roots that introduced me to 1/72. I'd honestly would never have tried it if it wasn't for that club. 1/72 seems to be a scale that boomed during my teacher's time, so I'm glad to be a part of it now!
Thanks mate! Hope to get another game in for Basic Impetus at some point but I'll probably have to provide both armies... I'd love to cover Punic wars and Romans, I have unpainted grey piles for varieties of both, problem is painting all of it takes too much time haha. I base for 15mm with my 1/72 basically because that's how I was taught, but I'm grateful for the lower figure count for each base, but each unit still looks sizeable with 8 in my opinion.
Explosive stones! I love Impetus, and 1/72 is so cheap...I have too many armies...but I want more (maybe Hussites this year?). Great report, keep playing and filming!!! We need more Impetus!!!
Haha, I don't get many games in but I'll try to record them. I do agree we need more impetus, we need more 1/72 content, and we need passionate people in this space. We do this because we love it, it's not a job, it's a hobby. I don't see a point in doing something in your spare time if it isn't out of love.
Yeah I didn't see much either outside of my Year 12 Wargames club - and I've always had fond memories of it - so my channel is an attempt to encourage people to try it! 1/72 is cheap, and wargames are wargames, this is our hobby, let's try some new scales, play some games!
Thanks! Enjoy 1st editon Impetus though have enjoyed Basic Impetus a lot too. I am building/painting 4-8 ish Mortem and Gloriam armies for the Punic Wars all in 1/72. Rome and Carthage first. Basing good for Impetus too. Mostly Hat with some Italeri. 1/72 make things truly affordable.
Haha I quite liked my teachers. It was complete chance that I got introduced to 1/72 by one of them. If I didn't join my high school wargames club I think I would have never got into it.
@@CliosPaintingBench I like the outrageous assault on geography and time in your campaign too. Good to use the models you already have and keep the brain flexible, eg I've had Dacians vs Dervishes,
@@duncanrichardson5306 Yeah, I see wargames as ultimately a game - the fun can come from striving after historical accuracy but it can also come from just the joy of the game itself. Ultimately, enjoy your hobby however you find joy in it: that is its purpose entire.

Thanks. Fun to watch! 1/72 is great for cost. Great variety for the Punic Wars and anything Roman. Do you base for 28mm or 15mm with your 1/72nds?

Great idea. None of my teachers were that interesting.

Love the content and the 1/72 shit, but... you got the hairiest models I've ever seen, dude.
Haha hairiest? As in literally covered in hair? Or painted with hair? Maybe I'm not down with the current lingo
