There will be pizza and coffee when you come for the next ventilator box! Maybe this one will contain the device to dry your lumber…but probably not; more MODELS! Cheers for the video, your fealty will be remembered and repaid in kind.
It looks like you have a lot of painting ahead of you. Those boxes were a very random mix of eras, it'll be interesting to see how these come together. I've finally made some progress on my Ancient Germans and the Imjin War project. I recorded a short video on my channel with some of the paintjobs if you'd want to check it out. Remember to keep your powder and wood dry (and well ventilated)!
Good to see all those ancients and medieval. You'll have to tell us where you ordered that ventilator. Or was that sent to someone else and you received their models? I'm also wondering if you were auditioning for a Samuel Beckett play in this video; especially the ending...
Haha the truth is, it was just a box I got the minis in and inspiration clicked to make it the whole basis of the video. I don't know why, it was just funny to me so it became the running joke for the whole thing. My life is essentially a Samuel Beckett play haha. I had a housemate who I discussed absurdism with for about 2 months and they just never got it and I'd bring it up at moments to annoy her. The existential tendencies never go away...
@@CliosPaintingBench I think I can safely say yours are the only wargaming videos influence by absurdism, by design anyway. Some achieve it by accident but that's another story. BTW, perhaps Red Box beat Hat in the race to be bad sculpts.
@@duncanrichardson5306 Haha maybe accidental absurdism is the best absurdism , I find that quaint. That is a controversial opinion haha. Red Box are about to release ukranian peasant infantry and cossacks and I think the sculpts look pretty good. I think early Red Box can be really bad, but I think they upped their game with more recent sets. The thing with HaT is, I've never seen a HaT sculpt that has 'wowed' me, like I see with Linear-A sets, or almost all Zvezda sets. They've always seemed acceptable. These things are pretty subjective, but I think Red Box have the capacity to make detailed sculpts, like with the heavy Korean cavalry whereas I haven't seen an equivalent with HaT. But happy to be proven wrong!
@@duncanrichardson5306 Oh yeah, they haven't made anything in a while, but they're finally about to release something again. I hope that means we start to get new and exciting 1/72 minis.
Lovely minis and interesting boxes!
Thanks mate! It's a decent range.

Haha, always happy to support the 1/72 community, maybe one day the timbers will be dry.

@@CliosPaintingBench Yes, I'd heard Red Box were improving but I haven't seen any of their new sets. No doubt the war has interfered a bit.
