Don’t join the national guard it’s been over a year and I haven’t got my Bonus when I get out next year I’m not Reenlisting for anything this was a waste of my time
You absolutely cannot call yourself a ranger unless you are in ranger bat. The scroll and the tab are very different
How is it that the official National Guard YT channel doesn’t know what a Ranger is? Having a tab doesn’t make you a Ranger. Passing RASP and serving in a Ranger Batt makes you a Ranger, which is an active duty gig.

There are no Rangers in the national guard. Rangers are active duty only….

This is misleading. You cannot be a Ranger in the guard. The tab does not make you a Ranger.

Not in Illinois Guard... I was an 11B in the National Guard. 7 years. Not one person was sent from my company to Ranger school, and not one guy had even from active. EIB, Mountain Warfare, and GAFB (German Proficiency Badge) and Air Assault were the only schools available. 300 PT. Expert qual, and good NCOER. Only 1 Ranger spot in the whole Brigade and it was for the best warrior winner. If they actually offered schools to squared away soldiers I would still be in. Have to reward your soldiers.

All the guard slots go to the AGR guys

You cannot be in the 75th ranger regiment in the national guard, you can go to ranger school (A leadership course) to be "ranger qualified ". With that being said just enlist with an op40 contract in the regular army if you want to try and become a "real" ranger.
