You don't know the half of it. Fail a conversation and now they won't talk to you? Just change into whatever and now you're a new person that hasn't pissed them off yet and can try again. And when you kill enemies, they won't talk to you with the speak with dead spell, because they hate you. Just change flesh and they'll spill their secrets. Some holes and crevices are too small for real people to fit, so you can just change into a gnome or halfling and you might be able to squeeze through.

You can boost this and get to level 2 on the beach by defeating Zhaik on the ship. It's actually pretty easy. Just grab all of the nautiloid tanks (purple juice things) - there is one right besides Shadowheart's pod and the others are in the chamber where you fight Zhaik -, make sure Shadowheart has the Command spell and grab one of the huge chests in the ship (2 in the starting room, one next to the rune you find to free shadowheart). Place one chest in front of the entrance of the boss room (make sure you can't walk through it), turn 1 cast Command drop weapon on Zhaik and make Laezel grab the sword. Then just have Laezel, Us and the Mindflayer attack Zhaik every turn while Tav and Shadowheart place the tanks next to the commander and clear all the other enemies (including the ones that spawn next to the controls). The Cambions will be stuck forever trying to destroy the chest in the entrance. If you get lucky you can just whack the Commander to death and the Mind Flayer will die along the way. If one of the two dies, the other will focus your party (yes, the Mind Flayer will attack you), so that's your signal for blowing up the tanks. You can also just choose to blow them up whenever Zhaik gets to 40 hp or so. Get everything correctly and you should be lvl 2 when you land or after discovering the waypoint on the beach. I've been doing this consistently on my 10 - so far - Honour mode tries :c
he's just trying to do it as fast as possible, that fight's going to take awhile especially if you go for the cambrians. this isn't so much a guide for maximizing xp as it is speedrunning your way to lvl 4. btw there's an easy way to kill the cambrians. keep one guy split from the group near the healing pod where shadowheart is trapped. engage zhaik with the rest of them like you outlined while the guy near the healing pod shoots the cambrians from out of combat with a ranged weapon. if you do it right, the guy won't get pulled into combat and you can just spam crossbow shots until the two cambrians are dead. it takes a while because your hit percentage will be very low but you can keep spamming it. also make sure you kill zhaik first so the mind flayer turns hostile so you can kill him for xp too. each of those guys gives you 75 xp. killing zhaik himself is only 75 xp on top of the quest complete xp.

Just the normal enemies, not the general and the cambions. Following this steps, when you landcrashed in the beach and speak with shadowheart, you will level up.
In current version you can talk your way through almost any problem, save, load that save, turn on non-lethal melee and down them all for the full xp bar again, save and load again, make attacks lethal and kill all of them for a total of 3x the intended xp. This means you can take the entrance to the goblin camp and instead of getting 140xp, you get 420xp, with the only real downtime being the combat. Saving and reloading is bugged and it is an insane exploit. You can also trigger Raphael, hit him with Command (Disarm), then take him with a non-lethal melee hit. 1400xp and he shows up at the end of act 1 where you can kill him (again).
@@jacej355you can still get exp from both persuasion and combat, but you must start the combat during dialogue, if you attack them while they are friendly they don't give exp

-Ignore Us.
-Kill the three enemies at the start.
-Kill the two sleeping beauties that are next to shadowheart. You don't need to fight them, just kill them in the chair directly.
-Kill the brain in the next room.
-Save Shadowhearth.
-Kill all the enemies in the last fight. Just the normal enemies, not the general and the cambions.
Following this steps, when you landcrashed in the beach and speak with shadowheart, you will level up.
Underrated channel.
The old man is back!
They've patched some of this now you can't knock out then kill for double
@@jacej355you can still get exp from both persuasion and combat, but you must start the combat during dialogue, if you attack them while they are friendly they don't give exp
@@JuanAntonioGarciaHeredia I know that's still only double the original comment said that you can get triple. I said you can't.
@@jacej355 I have already silenced them so they wont spread more misinformation. Its all good now.

"Time to touch weird holes"
"Now get out"
I just make sure to kill the cambion and mindflayer on the ship, run to grove for gobbo fight, do dank crypt to collect Withers and then do the raphael bug at the bridge north of blighted village for 1400 exp and that’s usually enough to hit level 4
I don't remember what the "Raphael bug" actually was, but when it is a glitch, it does not count, since the video says explicitly "no glitches".
@@What_do_I_Think it does not work anymore anyway
Getting lvl4 is when this game starts picking up
Love to see you on bg3 man. Best wishes
he did it in 20 minutes what took me 15 hours
Your channel is amazing!
Awesome! thanks so much!

Wheres the cleric build you promised?
This was really cool. Definitely will be doing it on a character, skipping all that content, hahaha..... *Just edits his save when no one is looking instead* (No but srsly the disguise self tech was pretty cool.)
At last, a month after the release of this video, I can watch it unafraid of spoilers haha
Conker Live and Reloaded / Conker’s Bad Fur Day soundtrack at 5:32 is pure fire 🔥
lol I forgot about this channel, always loved your dark souls videos
> takes cleric for guidance cantrip
> uses guidance one time
Very enjoyable. Thank you.
Such sharp feats!
This will help with the copious amounts of Honor mode characters i have to make
Omg limit breakers bg3 my dream come true
Conker's Bad Fur Day music at 6:00 ? Love it!
Small thing, but you can hit spacebar on the level up screen to skip the animation of the UI showing you what you get.
You can also attack the Mind Flayer fighting the demon in the last room on the Illithid ship and kill it - it will grant 75 xp, although I haven't actually done the math to figure out wether that would be worth it, timewise
Now imagine how fast 4 players can reach lvl 4
lv 4 fast? rip 9999999 % of game ? I want my spam rest random fights to farm exp back rip bg1/2 :} not speed run u get lvl but gg miss out on 99%
bunny hop is a thing even in BG3... Is that why you can't be an adventurer if you took an arrow in the knee ?
oh man, i am so ready for this new old man arc
Def wouldn't mind seeing more bg3 stuff.
Was Old Man canonicaly a smol dude all this time? 😭
