Go for s22 plus. I had 1+8pro 2 weeks ago and I went for s22ultra and I am very very very satisfied. ●8 pro when I watched videos and any night scene or scene with low lighting comes it feels like I am watching some animated sh!t and not an actual movie. ●Samsung's screen is just the BEST ngl. ●Cameras on Oneplus just SUCKS and nobody can convince be otherwise. There are many many points that I can write bro and because I was in the same dilemma I am trying to save your hard earned money. I would definitely definitely suggest you s22 plus(snapdragon) without any single doubt. Cheers!
Easy choice for me as I am in the UK so only get Exynos. I have the s22u and trying to sell, but secondhand they have bombed in price due to Samsung discounts, Exynos and few people want them, so maybe stuck with it. I have had five big updates and def better than at launch but the gestures suck and still laggy opening apps and moving around. I tried everything and think I have found out why. If I use QHD the lag and stutters are the worse as is RAM management. If I use FHD+ it gets a better experience, but still not close to my OPPO or iPhone, but if I have on 720p it is much better and RAM management is also much better. I would assume that there are issues with the GPU and suspect Samsung have got a lot of throttling in the background to save battery (which is not good). I know Samsung on optimised performance of the CPU throttle it by 20% and have further thermal throttling under load, and I suspect the GPU is the same. Some technical channels have highlighted that it is very poor. I am assuming Samsung releases the throttling when you start to game so that it is not as noticeable. Hopefully it is only temporary whilst they sort out this problematic Exynos chip. So OP10P for win but I would probably choose the OPPO Find X5 Pro or the Magic 4 Pro over either of these in my region or wait for the new models being released soon.
I own both of said phones but I picked OnePlus eventually. I can't even send a smooth Snapchat for Samsung. You have to click twice to go back to the album of the pic you just took and so many lagging issues for Samsung. Only good thing about Samsung is the amazing screen and stability of video shooting.
Commenting from early 2023 just before the launch of Oneplus 11 and Samsung S23. I don't really play games on phone and am a heavy work-related phone user, so always looking for top end "last year phone" to save some bucks. Typically I will pick Oneplus given Samsung's battery reliability is typical worse, but since now having a toddler at home, S22+ probably is the choice for better photo and video quality
Jonathan, thanks for the review. It was by far the best one I've seen comparing the two phones. That being said, now that it's Thanksgiving weekend and the phones are nearly identical in price would that sway your decision? I've always preferred by Samsung's over other Android's, but when looking at the specs on paper the One Plus looked to have better battery life. Though it's subjective, you completely blew the battery paper specs out of the water.
Not sure what you mean. If for some reason, you are signed out of the service it could be due to a password change. You will need to go into your dashboard and check the chat for the updated log in info.
I agree to a certain degree. The price really should be lowered due to the display and a few other things. At the discounted prices it’s fine such as right now, the S22+ is $749 which a good deal. Plus, the 1080p display is quite sharp. For the average non techie person, they won’t be able to tell. But I understand your frustration and see your point.
I had the S22+ (traded it in for regular S22 since I like lighter smaller formfactor) Coming from the s20, I really see no difference what so ever between FHD+ and QHD. That's why I always had my S20 on FHD+ on default since it saves battery as well. On such small screens QHD doesn't matter, and I'm pretty sure if you do a random test you won't see it either. Samsung HAD to use QHD screens because of their Oculus gear VR from the S6 to S9. But since they dropped Gear VR QHD is not needed, especially not on the 6.1 inch screen I have on my regular S22. Nits is most important.
excellent vid except on important concept everyone over looks is customer service! As a Oneplus 7T Pro user for several years their customer service isn't good! Their response to operating glitches is very slow or often non existent.Case in point I recently upgraded from OxygenOS 11 to 12 and there' so many glitches, i.e., battery, settings, & apps, etc, it's frustrating & no longer easy to use. In fact many users are going back to OxygenOs 11 or just giving up and getting another devices!
Yeah, same thing happened to me. I had the OnePlus 7t and after the last update my NFC. Stopped working properly and I had other issues. Ended up buying the s22+ when November sales brought down the price.
People please understand that the phone cameras will never be as good as system cameras. If you want to do great photos use a system camera. I use phone camera as a casual picture shooter they are good for being phone cameras yes. The pros will not use a phone camera for great photos. For me it's performance of the phone hardware and software plus battery life and screen fps that's it. Cameras for me is a plus. I'll take couple of shots on the same item until I'm satisfied and then i will pick the best picture and the rest i delete. Easy, ill go for one plus because the software haven't let me down once and im use to OnePlus. I've tried many brands all was let down until i bought OnePlus and i was amazed how it performed and fast it was. Near stock android is what I want but samsung is master of bloatware and apps in their phones i don't like that at all. That's why I like OnePlus, don't get me wrong here I'm not OnePlus fan but i really dig deep into stuff before i buy and I'm really satisfied with oneplus. Simplicity is the key to brilliance. They havent reached to brilliance yet but they probably will eventually.
In europe oneplus 10 pro eazy really a no brainer, because samsung has the crap Exynos models overhere! The rest of the word definitely samsung, but only with the snapdragon chipset!
I will tell you. I have S21 Ultra and my wife has One plus 9 Pro. Definitely One plus 9 Pro is better. It is smoother and much better battery consumption...
By far even now...that one plus is not the same brand -company but by far even now one plus 10 pro its much better choise than sam ! One thing only have in mind ...charging....just look the difference. As for the rest again one plus is much better except perhaps the cam...but trust me....we are not going to be cameraman for national 🤪
Great review thanks Jonathan!! I was going to get the Galaxy off this review, but then saw at 11.34 the Galaxy screen shows visible flickering. I'm concerned about eyestrain. 👀 Do you think this could be an issue or is only to do with the filming?
I love your videos but, the galaxy is good with SD variant , half of the world gets the Exynos variant , now lest talk about that , gaming on exynos a big no no , simply because all games are build for A chips from Apple or SnapDragon , that being said in mobile legends and wild rift the galaxy fps goes to 37 maximum , that’s low end performance for gaming . Camera performance and battery life is very bad on exynos (after 6 months ) I’ve been using Samsung for the last 4 years and this is my experience , I will never pay more than 600 $ for an exynos device it’s just bad .

Cheers!
After watching this video I find I can’t stop saying “Oh my Gowd.”
Like, did y’all hear those prices? Oh my Gowd.
I’m ☠️😭😂
@@OT4Tech Please don't die, Jonathan. I can't explain away _another_ body. 😉😀
And, as always, I love your vids brother 👊🏾
The s22 plus is nothing like the ultra very different phones
This is what scares me getting another galaxy phone. I’m tempted between a Galaxy s21 and Oneplus but everyone keeps mentioning lag?
I own both of said phones but I picked OnePlus eventually. I can't even send a smooth Snapchat for Samsung. You have to click twice to go back to the album of the pic you just took and so many lagging issues for Samsung. Only good thing about Samsung is the amazing screen and stability of video shooting.
Nothing about the bloatware that ships with Samsung phones?
Don’t buy from the carrier and you don’t get bloatware.
@@OT4Tech I'm talking about the Samsung bloatware
Thank you!! I liked the review but not mentioning the Samsung bloatware made think he hasn't spend that much time with Samsung devices
@@OT4Tech and the ui still eats up almost 25 to 30 gigs
Hey Jonathan, did you use 48mp with AI on or off on the OnePlus? So many options that I'm not sure which one to use.
Whattt ??? S22+ Overheating so much more than OnePlus 10 Pro...
Definitely overheats more than the one plus 10 pro
Commenting from early 2023 just before the launch of Oneplus 11 and Samsung S23. I don't really play games on phone and am a heavy work-related phone user, so always looking for top end "last year phone" to save some bucks.
Typically I will pick Oneplus given Samsung's battery reliability is typical worse, but since now having a toddler at home, S22+ probably is the choice for better photo and video quality
Same here for me!
Awesome review.
what case was on the OnePlus 10 pro please
Picked up the S22 plus with 256G ✅ no brainer 👍😀👍
Jonathan, thanks for the review. It was by far the best one I've seen comparing the two phones. That being said, now that it's Thanksgiving weekend and the phones are nearly identical in price would that sway your decision? I've always preferred by Samsung's over other Android's, but when looking at the specs on paper the One Plus looked to have better battery life. Though it's subjective, you completely blew the battery paper specs out of the water.
Your videos are awesome ! Appreciate it
Thank you 🙏

Samsung is so bullshit for dropping the QHD on their flagships. I'd never consider the Samsung a flagship . I'd go buy a realme if I wanted 1080p .
I have been using oneplus since 3,6,7tpro, nord2.. but S22 Plus will make you forget about oneplus phone.. and I thought I will never say it.
0:10 Where was that Jonathan?

@@OT4Tech Looks very nice. Gotta visit there.
Definitely. You’ll enjoy the small town vibe. Lots of shops and places to eat too.
@@OT4Tech Cool man. Thank you 😊👍. Just pricked up the S22 Ultra through your help. Loving it. Upgraded from the LG V60. Thanks again.
excellent vid except on important concept everyone over looks is customer service!
LOVE that oneplus wallpaper. Is it available for any phone please?
Great video man, think i might jump ship and go with the Oneplus tgis time round :)
Do you have the Snapdragon or Exynos processor in the S21 Ultra?
@@OT4Tech Exynos
This video isn't about those phones.
@@BOOGiNS I know but you really think, that they changed something? :) Things which I am talking about are still the same.
This is exactly what I needed. Awesome review. I think I'm going to go with the 10 pro
I have Huawei p 30 pro and looking to replace it with One plus. Will wait a year maybe 2 ))))))
one plus is 549 now in the US
One Plus looks kewl. I wanna like it more but the display brightness and the vibrance of the camera got the s22 the win for me.
Nice bro ..
But i see s22 base model is the best deal for most people
I can see that
Not really battery life is terrible on the base s22
In my country Samsung s22 plus is 50% more expensive, so OnePlus 10 Pro is a no brainer for me.
I have the S22..but will be buying the One+ 10Pro soon as a drone screen n camera only device. $699 for the One+ 10Pro!
I couldnt find this one from our local store and my brother got me this full in retail box from My World Phone
for me Samsung is better in every aspect but battery charging and longevity
The one plus has louder speakers and overheats less ...and more fluid ui
I hear you and it sucks that it’s like that but I can’t speak on something I don’t have experience with.
But you cash get up too 16gb of ram with ram plus.
Just bought the 10Pro .... Hot garbage compared to the s22. Clunky and laggy. But the battery charges really fast !
Second , I have been waiting for this video a while now
Let me know what you think. This was a tough one.
Nothing like an iPhone user reviewing Android phones.
What camera was you using at the very opening of the video? It looked like the ultra portrait mode using the retro feature
Sony A1. It’s a blur/distortion plugin in FCPX. I just wanted to try something a little different.
S22 plus front facing camera can record up to 4k 60fps. Not 30fps
Love Beard meets food!!
I use to love Samsungs now it just looks like a iphone witch is a automatic pass for me .
thank you !
😁
OnePlus 10 pro is having 1000hz touch sampling rate and s22 having 280hz no one is mentioning that😂
S22 Ultra Clean And clear, OnePlus 10 Pro Loud but I prefer S22 Ultra Audio 🔉
Thank guy
I'm considering about them so I choose S22+ that everything is nature it can use in daily day and normally use(I not play a game)
Umm Samsung has the whole Good Lock which gives you more to make the s22 your own.
Oneplus 10pro camera is more brighter and more color but less focus
One plus camera not good in this segment. Everyone said camera issues ter.
the 1 plus selfie camera is rare 🥴
Hello. I just can't decide between Samsung S22 plus (Exynos) and OnePlus 10 pro.
Regardless of the price. Which phone will offer me the best photos and also the longest battery life.
So disregarding the price (and brand) which of these phones would you choose?
I would be very grateful for help, because I can't decide for too long...
I'm having this problem too, the charging speeds make me want to go for the OnePlus but then you've got the unreliable and not as long lasting security updates to worry about if you're looking for longevity
Absolutely OnePlus 10 pro, I used both phones, Samsung battery is shit
Thanks 🙏🏻
I think Samsungs cameras are pretty good but Samsungs batteries are horrible after 1- 1,5 years... Huawei has the best batteries even after 2-3 years and really good cameras but Trump killed thoose phones with the Google ban.. Now looking for a replacement since i can't stand Samsungs crap batteries anymore... Oneplus 10 pro seems to be a good replacement.
Here in uk S22 plus is 350 pound more expensive then 10 pro
The fact that S22 Ultra comes with Exynos instead of Snapdragon (with 30%+ less GPU performance) in Europe decides in itself which one I will buy...
Just bought oneplus even with it's negatives
@@dr.angerous you happy with the oneplus
@@ATruePrince not so much, nothing can beat 7pro. It has much better cameras and louder speakers but that's it. Little faster, little better display. What sucks is the system and gestures

@@ATruePrince 12 gigs, it's usually taking up to 6gbs on normal use. Ye I loved the oxygen os before, and only thing why I kept the phone now is the discount I have and Samsung I wanted has only exynos and not Snapdragon

Sup my guy! Yeah, they are both great devices
Please can I get this s22 plus cheap one?
Go to ebay. Some sellers offer open box items or refurbished ones at discount prices.
I'm glad you were impartial. Waste of 15 mins
One plus is much better you should compare with 22 ultra
OnePlus 10 Pro 512GB is only available in China.
It's not idiot
Why don't you try using gcam and than compare too? I mean people would also know if they put gcam how are the images gonna turn out to be. Best to know the hardware capabilities.
stock camera is most of the times better on Samsung phones (if not a budget phone with no optimization)
