Idk about you guys but i will 100% be picking kourend
One of the things i dreaded the most about shattered relics is having to swap my relics around every time i want to do a different task. Especially with the bad interface, it was such a pain. I hope that doesn't make a comeback.
Runelite made that so easy to save presets. All jagex needs to do is borrow that system.
@@GhostlyGhille Borrow it, but make it an integrated/automatic system. You still had to manually click each relic, the plugin just scrolled to each one for you.
I like the set and forget system of the first trailblazer
i think they should use the sigil system from dmm
it's a great feature, it just wasn't support correctly. It needed a profile system to press a button and load your presets for an activity
I'm kinda hoping they give us like 1 or 2 more region choices this time around, cuz like mentioned, there have been so many new updates in the game It'd be cool to try it all out with these broken abilities. I'm also a little worried about how region choices will mostly revolve around specializing in 1 combat style, but that's just something that we'll have to see with what relics we get.

I think 4 would be perfect, giving eventual access to exactly half of the regions beyond Misthalin/Karamja. It would also mean that people might not be locked in to exactly 1 set of specific regions if they want to get the newest shiniest interesting late game weapon of Soulreaper's Axe.
They may combine some of the weaker regions to make the choices more difficult, it all depends on tasks and how many points each region will have.
@@codesk8chill They have said in the Trailblazer Reloaded blog which regions will be available/start with, and it's exactly the same as Leagues 2 but with Kourend/Zeah added.

I'm thinking Desert, Kourend, and Asgarnia. If tier 7 unlocks a 4th region I'll likely go for Wilderness because of the more abundant pvm content and resources you can get there.
This is close to my thinking. Kourend and Asgarnia are my for sure lock ins. The third slot will depend on what tasks look like in several other locations. Kourend and Asgarnia are so large that they are no brainers. If Desert has okay tasks, it will likely be my third. If Desert tasks are bad, I will likely pick something to practice a boss I haven't done.
I’m really excited for leagues again! I wasn’t active during the previous leagues but have watched a lot of content creators play trailblazer, and cannot wait for this
You all laughed at me for picking Desert last time, but Desert Gang will have its revenge. You will all be picking Desert, and I enjoy watching all the Sorceress' Garden failures in the first week.
Leagues brought back my love for OSRS. I LOVE LEAGUES. Just seeing all of the different things you can do is wonderful.
Definitely looking for breakdowns of what content is available in what areas to help decide which ones to pick.
Finally a new league, hyped for the dopamine and Dragon tier cup.
I am not a big fan of high level PVM, so I will just pick the regions where I can get the most points while doing activities I enjoy.
Super excited for Leagues 4! I hope they make significant enough changes to the tasks, relics, and ruleset to where this league really has its own identity. 😁
im new to runescape and its a game ive wanted to get into for awhile so i see the leagues as a good starting point to give me an idea of what to do when i actually get into it so im prob gonna unlock all 3 raids cos they seem most interesting to me at this point in time

Even if leagues 5 was still in Trailblazer's region-picking option, it's the relics that really make this temporarily game mode shine. I also am hoping they give us 4 options of regions instead of 3 since leagues 2.
In the original Trailblazer Leagues I went kand>prif>fremm and went ranged. I freaking loved my 1tick-bp which also had the effects of sgs. Am yer #1 zulrah killer and #2 vork killer in trailblazers.
Saw a lot of people suggest starting in Zeah, with Misthalin being merged with Asgarnia. I'm a big fan of that personally. Nostalgia trip from Twisted League.
With the confirmed additional relic tier we might just be lucky enough for an additional region unlock, we can pray!
Soulreaper axe mention poses interesting ideas. They could give bonus unlocks later on for smaller areas. So you pick 3 regions fully, and then after those, there's perhaps 2 'micro unlocks' for the regions you don't have, that are dungeons or towns or sections, which would allow you to access some things. I doubt they would do this, but it'd be really cool. Like, you don't take Morytania, but you could get Slayer tower. Or Barrows. Or ToB. Or Nightmare. But because you didn't pick Morytania, you can only pick one or two of these.

it would be great to have a group iron man league where members can choose different areas and trade items they obtain from those areas between eachother
I started playing OSRS back when leagues 3 started and was tempted to try it out but never did but now that I’ve got a high level main and a decent hardcore I think I got the game knowledge to try it out this year so I’m excited, can’t wait to piggy back off my clan and copy them😂
Trailblazer was my favourite. End of day 1 I was Rank 2 Fishing just from Lobbies and Swords 😂 was so much fun.
Leagues enabled to learn bossing before I had the GP required for some of this endgame content
If you can't afford something as expensive as Bowfa, you're done pretty quickly with PvM
I remember first doing CG in leagues 2, fast forward a year later and it really helped with the transition to doing 1000 CG Kc in the main game. It really can be an entry-point for players who haven't experienced everything they want to yet
A dragon tier shattered and Trailblazer leaks player here, I think something really amazing about leagues 2 was the strategizing about how you build your character more so than the complicated ui involved in l3
I think a nuanced approach to make try hard character's build unique would be very successful maybe implementing modes where you're locked into a certain path of relics you choose as well as your region for points or giving players who don't want to min-max for Points the opportunity to just enjoy the game mode with whatever relics they want at any time while still picking regions
I'm honestly thinking Tirannwn, Fremennik, Desert. I want to try my hand at the Gauntlet, Zulrah, and Vorkath with crazy combat boosts. If they allow one more region, it would have to be Kourend for me
I’m planning on desert,zeah, and asgarnia. Only thing is there no solid ranged weapon until tbow and zaryte cbow. However they did make crossbows strong af in last league with buffs to bolt procs so arma and rune cbow might just slap with accuracy buffs also. Super excited!!
I hope they're aware of the players want for having at least 1 more region. I also agree on the flexibility of combat, i dont want to lock myself into one style and never be able to try the others

i loved leagues, twisted and trailblazer were my favorites. personally would like more region unlocks, if you manage to an excess of points, but i love the leagues so much cause it allows me to test different content i don't have access to on my main, with buffs that allow me to see if its something i could do without them. really excited for this run even if its a reloaded. the devs, hopefully, put a good spin on it to seem more refreshing.

I really wanna try bowfa/ tbow with range relic. I was thinking of going mage relic for shadow, but there is like no good weapons before shadow so you are just chasing that one item entire time, compared to bowfa as like a half way mark to a tbow
With tier 7 being added I can see them featuring some of the most busted relics we’ve ever seen, which could cater to vastly different playstyle.
For example:
Add a new region to unlock > gives more depth and things to do for a player
Every 24 hours you can change 1 relic (including itself and basically locking yourself out of rerolls) > for those who don’t like picking a single fighting style for months and enjoy the more
Global, unrestricted (besides areas like CG which take away your inventory) bank access > the bigger and badder brother of last recall, allowing for some insane xp rates , grabbing some prayer pots during an inferno run or banking your smelling salts from ToA and using them in ToB (ok this would be maybe too busted)
Every relic I mention is turbo broken but since they are all so broken they are balance against each other. Newer players can benefit from longer kill trips with the bank relic, the changing one is good for people liking the SRL and an extra region gives more experienced players the possibility to run around in pretty much BiS.
If it's not broken, we don't want it 😂
I hope they add an additional area at 90-95+% task for your base area task comped since they added zeah. Possibly the option to get an extra relic at 30k LP.

Me and my mate are going hard on leagues (never played it before) and we decided to just unlock the 3 raids and "rush" those and just have fun with them as much as possible.
I'm plotting an Accursed sceptre mage build, so Wilderness 1st for revs, wildy slayer, Dagon'hai, etc -> Kandarin for occult, zenyte, trident if I go unlucky on sceptre -> IDK, maybe Zeah for fun
Last time in Trailblazer, the locations available meant that you could not get the best magic gear. It was left quite far behind melee and ranged, which both had opportunities for endgame gear. Now with Kourend and ToA in Desert, magic is no longer cut off from end game gear. I think it will be a very good balance between the three combat styles, instead of weighted so heavily into melee. Very much looking forward to how difficult choices early on will give each player a unique endgame.

I was one of those EXTRA fools - I didn't pick Desert...but I did pick magic :'D I'm just hoping to make better descisions and try out more content I haven't done on main yet.
Still had tons of fun with both LII and LIII, did Jad for the first time there and it really helped with the usual Jad anxiety later on with main, learnt to do Barrows and GG's, died to Vorki a million times and lost all bank on death chests, I mean...it sure was an experience for the extremely casual and on&off player such as myself.
This’ll be my first league, planning on Asgarnia, Desert, and Fremenik for GWD, ToA, and Vorkath. Heavily considering swapping Fremenik for Kourend though, CoX is very tempting
Kourend really does offer so much & who hasn't always wanted a Tbow?!
I would love to see 3 ultimate relic synergies. One for having all skiller relics, one for combat, and either one for loot chance or some kind of utility function. Would motivate everyone reguardless of skill level to excel to the end of the leagues system
i really hope they give the flexibility of Shattered Relics... i was very nooby going into the first twisted league. My end game content was vorkath and barrows. I ended up with a melee freme/mory build... with my bis for vorkath (until sire decided to bless me with an abby dagger at 3x rate) as a leaf bladed sword. Ill plan better for this league but locking myself into that rough niche off the bat because i didnt know end game content was definitely a mistake. still got dragon trophy tho
Honestly this would be my first leagues and I have NO CLUE what regions to pick, feel like I might just pick the desert and Kourrend as those are my favorite two regions in general!

I can't wait it is gonna be so much fun! Can't wait to drop 500m of loot drops and 200k karambwans at the karambwan fishing spot and watch people go crazy as i let it despawn again! So much freaking fun.
Hell yeah drop flexing in Leagues is the funnest shit. Watching people fill banks with zammy spears, godswords and other random drops and watching them despawn. I dropped a 3rd age last league and everyone lost their minds when I let it despawn.

With the hype around DT2, I’m going to assume they will do something about the fact you must have the fremmy rings in order to make those bosses relevant. They will most likely give you the full ring on the drop table which will eliminate the relevance of fremenik region
you need fremennik to get to weiss to go for duke in the first place though
@@AleK0451 what if they give the ring with the tablets already added? And that’s a separate area only unlocked with desert. It wouldn’t give access to muspah, just duke. Same goes for all the others

My top 3 Regions are Desert, Asgarnia and either Kourend or Kandarin. You could be running around in full masouri,virtus and torva.
i reached "rune" tier in shattered relics and i dont even remember playing it, all my memories are from the previous trailblazer

Desert/Kourend seem like the obvious picks to me since they have such a well rounded offering now of early, mid and late game content. 2 of the OsRs raids, bunches of skilling minigames, very useful spellbooks, some earlier PvM unlocks and more.
Then it gets tricky because Asgarnia has GWD + Nex, plenty of its own skilling content and 1 of the DS2 bosses now. Morytania on the other hand has low and high level PvM content in spades obviously most importantly including the final raid, plus Hallowed Sepulchre & Vyres for that blood shard. Kandarin was the "obvious" must pick region last Trailblazer and still has a lot of content such as quests, skilling guilds, slayer bosses, Zenytes, etc., with importantly gatekeeping the majority of the magic dmg% available in the game to boost your Tumeken's Shadow thanks to Occult + Tormented Bracelet. Fremennik might be the only way in the League to obtain a Soulreaper's Axe from the 4 DS2 bosses, but amusingly that would only happen if it auto-unlocked DS2 (granting access to the Leviathon via Wizard's Tower basement) and you skipped out on the Desert area. And even Tirannwn still grants access to Blowpipe + most importantly BowFa, which can carry you through so much mid-late game PvM before getting a T-Bow/Shadow.
Desert/Kourend gang - 3rd choice pending 🤔
Representing Desert Gang once again. I will be choosing Desert, Kandarin and Kourend. This will be the optimal path for max magic gear.
Same plan here, I went melee last time, mage looked like a lot of fun, looks even cooler with the shadow being in the game

finally..... leagues are the only reason i still play runescape.
I really liked the customability of leagues 3. The unfortunate part in the prior leagues was there was a correct relic order to go because it couldn't be changed. I did research so mine were correct but a lot of people I know didn't choose them and got burned. They just weren't able to really do much and ended up quiting because they can't change relics.
For regions as of right now I'm 100% on desert and kourend. My third I'm thinking asgarnia. It just has so much stuff you are used to, piety, gwd items, defenders, and some end game content in nex.
I heard some people theorizing that we might be able to get more than 3 regions. If that is the case I feel like fremmy is a great pick. Dks and vorky are very nice but also think of the qol fremmy has like the Stonemason. No max poh without fremmy. No poh pool or many of the tps you use every day.
Temple of the Eye is entered via the wizards tower, so it would surprise me if you need Morytania unlocked to reach the Scar.

If the combat relics stay the same, I’m 100% going desert. Kanderin is too good to pass up because occult plus tormented bracelet is absurd dmg bonus, as well as torture and anguish for off style stuff. The last pick would be hard. Zeah means all of chambers uniques, ancestral being the most juicy with mage+shadow. Claws and tbow are great for off mage combat. Then you have fremmy which unlocks dcbow, Ava’s upgrade, dk rings, and duke for magus ring and virtus. Losing out on ancestral won’t be as bad with virtus. The biggest problem with mage start is if you don’t go Zeah, Asgarnia, or morytania you’re missing a lot of content if you’re interested in bossing. Shadow would piece up all the gwd bosses and double speed blood barrage is like infinite trips.
That being said, they may give a smaller attack speed bonus to all styles instead due to the opportunity costs of the combat relics.
Desert/Kourend/Asgarnia gang
Desert for Toa drops
Kourend for tbow and skilling
Either fremmy for gwd, or mory to practice tob
I'm hoping they change their mind and give us 4 regions. Desert + Kourend is too good, so many people will pick that that player diversify is going to be down to just one extra region. Two extra regions would make for more diversity

I hope they just give us Kandarin as some sort of milestone. Last league anyone not getting kandarin was in a world of pain because it has so much stuff that you can't afford to miss..

Someone made it known to me last time that the only best in slots it had was jewelry, AKA zenytes and occult.
Since we have Kourend and Kebos this time around, I might just opt for that as my early game progression.
I didnt play the meta melee style/ swampletics hype mortania region last trailblazer so this time i will and maybe get the transmog tob pet
Going either Zeah or Khandarin first, then probably Asgarnia. Not much into bossing, trying to make sure I have the skilling content I like with some easier bossing like GWD.
I think switching relics would be cool, but not have it too massive. And it needs to cost something to swap. Some sort of risk/reward for switching from a melee to ranged/magic build. Hell even switching areas might be cool to if they do the same sort of swapping mechanic.
it'd be neat if we could unlock them all, but only have 3 active and once you remove an active region for another it marks out the old, never to be unlocked again or something.
going magic with kourend+desert might be tempting, but you're not guaranteed to get the shadow drop from ToA, you could go very dry. I got dragon cup in shattered leagues, I hope there is a drop chance or bad luck mitigation relic or something like that, after a while it was just a complete waste of my time to try and do tob and try and compete with all of the people that got spooned with scythes.
Limit testing the relics at raids is so much fun but totally agree that chasing one "big ticket" item leads to that League's burnout
I'm mainly interested in how insane I can make my special attacks this league.
Weapon Specialist and TOA are must haves for the spec regen, and then either Kourend for Dclaws, Wilderness for Voidwaker, or Asgarnia for ZCB.
Hitting 500 guaranteed damage in 5 attacks with an additional 100 every 15 seconds is absolutely insane, which makes the ZCB an incredibly tempting pick, Kourend is a very close second since the variety of content unlocks is massive, and it unlocks the twisted bow, ancestral, and the kodai.
Wilderness is mostly a meme pick but who knows maybe rev caves would go crazy, at least there's Dagon Hai robes.
The relics will be new specifically for Leagues 4. So while some mechanics will certainly make their way from Trailblazer and Shattered relics into Leagues 4 relics, not all of them will and probably most of the returning stuff won't work the same way or be combined together in the same way.
That being said it does seem likely that reduced special attack costs will return in some form or another, just you can't count on it being "any spec costs 20%" or whatever.
We pray that weapon specialist/spec cost reduction returns in one form or another. I was really hoping to avoid Asgarnia this time around but Nex is tempting, right?!
@@ScriticRS If weapon specialist returns in one form or another my go-to regions will likely be Desert for Lightbearer, Asgarnia for ZCB, and Kourend for Death Charge.
It'll basically just let me spam bolt specs to kill anything and everything in seconds. And if the ranged relic comes back as well you get a +100% accuracy against NPCs.
Its actually so hard to choose. Assuming theres a style lock like before, i want to stear clear of melee.
If ranged, then Asgarnia seems ideal to me for armadyl and nex. Plus Zeah for CoX and the Tbow dream. But then you only have one choice left and no way to get all of bowfa, blowpipe, venator, webweaver and masori. I think id go desert for ToA and DT2 personally, but its tough and, like you, i didnt touch wildy last time so want to try it this time.
If mage, then Desert is mandatory for shadow late and ancients early. Magic gear is a little less varied, morytania for ahrims is a waste imo, Fremmy for Muspah? Zeah for Ancestral? The only clear choice beyond desert is NOT to pick Asgarnia, sonce gwd offers no mage gear that i can think of.

trailblazer was fun because the league before it was zeah only, but shattered relics was a lot better since we had access to every region of the game. i don't like trailblazer reloaded, first of all it's been done, i had my fun in the old trailblazer, it just feels boring to do it again

i never played this type of league before, i only played the shttered one and was not very good at it (since i'm not good at the game), i wan't to try going to the gauntlet and toa since i never went there before, but also maybe the other regions might be interesting, i just wish it lasts long so i don't need to feel like a rush
Unpopular opinion but I feel like point thresholds for cups aren’t ideal. Kinda means as soon as people hit a certain cup around their goal they’ll just quit. Like why go past dragon ya know?

i disagree with the relic system i found that working with what you had and making the wrong combat style work somewhere unconventional was really fun and i hated not being able to swap what i was doing on a whim having to go back to the bank and swap all my relics every time. it homogenized the game mode and made it so basically everybody had the same experience
You didn't have to swap your relics if you didn't want to. That's was your choice to be more efficient. Everyone having the same experience is the worst way to have a league because everyone has the same experience in the main game. Let the skillers skills, killers kill, and clue hunters hunt.
Being able to have a selection of relics that you can customize to what you are doing is easily better than having 3 relics to pick per tier and if you don't pick the best ones then you have a marginally worse time. People burnt out of league 2 because they didn't take last recall. 1 relic ruined people's experience and there was no changing.
Light bearer + zaryte crossbow + ranged/spec relic would basically break every boss in the game
3 unlocks is too few with them adding zeah as well now. need 5-7 unlocks, which still leaves 2-3 locked regions.
So adding 1 extra region warrants over twice the unlocks? The whole point is it's restricted. Maybe they just give everyone Kourend, Misthalin and Karamja and stay at 3 choices
@@thomasphillips997 or that, otherwise I'll pick the same regions as last time. I don't see how they will make it enjoyable for people not to quit after 2 weeks due to not enough regions for people to enjoy playing it for more than 2 weeks.
Yeah same, there are so many things I wanna do, definitely want desert, but then it's like well kinda need GWD and then do you want that OP blowpipe or tbow? It's too hard to pick from 3 for sure!!

zeah is mainly great for skilling .. tithe farm farming guild classic raid 1 - wt and blood and souls runes and nercomancer book
You should be able to get more points end gAme to unlock more sigils and like you can get em from drops and more places so we have a chance to opens eveyerrr
I competed in shattered relics even though i started 2 weeks late... finished top 1% at the expense of my health but whatever.. It was the most fun I ever had in RS. made the game unplayable afterwards though, going from like 1:30 no prep CGs to the main game. Actually having inferno cape, doing raids etc.. the main game is just too punishing.
maybe this time Karamja isn't completely free but we get to choose 4 different places instead

HELL NO. Switching relics was the most annoying part of Shattered Relics. Doing one thing but wanna do something else? Have fun spending 5 minutes optimizing your relics! Do that times 500 nd you've spent hours and hours just fiddling with relics instead of just banking, grabbing your gear and going. Trailblazer was much better in that regard. But only 3 areas will be very boring, so I'm hoping they let you unlock the full map now, even if it takes really long to do it.
Agreed, fun comes from playing the game not browsing menus.
You never had to change relics. You chose to change to be efficient. Being stuck in whatever choice you made was terribly boring and the reason lots of people quit. This league is shorter so maybe the locked in to one route will not be such a bore this time around.
I might just stick to Lumby to be honest, think about it for a minute. A lumbridge locked leagues account sounds sick no?
Eh, not really. You wouldn't be able to unlock much, maybe 1 or 2 relics. You do you though.

I think leagues is just a complete waste of effort when you could be leveling up/ getting drops on an actual account. Not a fan of Leagues, its basically an offical private server.

@@SikGamer70 effort is put into games too my friend, that might be minimal effort to afk fish, or effot into skilling, or high end PvM. This response of effort not being part of playing/ enjoying a game is ponderous.
@@ScriticRS Yeah, namely the "blue inferno" part in that. I want to find out what their plans of blood runes are, most people skimmed over them hinting something big is coming for blood runes.
They need to make leagues like 3 months long and resets at one month i bet there would be subs every winter.
