- At the 2023 Pastors Summit in San Diego Ché Ahn discussed the need for pastors to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit. Some discernment "ministries" began to claim that he denies the doctrine of the Trinity. In this video I offer some clarity on the subject.
I'm Rod Saunders, founder of Jew and Greek. I’m a musician, web developer, and a student of philosophy and economics. I recently published my first book on Amazon entitled Defending the Faith: Word of Faith Apologetics. It’s a response to the numerous charges against and misrepresentations of the Word of Faith movement and theology. I also have a CD of original music on CD Baby entitled Gates of Pearl. “Jew and Greek” is a good name because the two civilizations that influenced Western civilization the most were those of the Judeo-Christian and Greek worlds. From the Jews we received our values and a monotheistic theology, and from the Greeks we got philosophy which brought us science, sports, the arts, democracy, and economics. As a result I discuss all of the above in this blog and in my videos.

I get sick when I see all these misrepresentation of preachers. They accuse people falsely, then proceed to say they are "respresenting Christ".
Surely.... Does Christ call us to misrepresent brethren?
Then they wonder why folks like myself aren't interested in "becoming reformed".
Are they "discernment ministers" or "blind ministers"?
God bless you brother Sanders. As you know I'm a Calvinist, and in watching your video, I understood Che was being sarcastic. In no way was he denying the Trinity. Due to doctrinal differences I don't follow Che. However, if he's not wrong, I won't remain quiet.
I suspected that you are a Calvinist but I wasn't sure. No problem. As I've said several times before, I can get along with Calvinists as long as they are willing to accept me as a brother, and don't misrepresent my views.
"frozen chosen"🤔
Ah.... Research, every discernment hack's weakness.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the Heresy Hunters began spending their time in prayer, fasting, and witnessing rather than attacking their Christian brethren. Those countless hours of useful commitment and consecration would no doubt usher in a great season of revival
@jesusisLordperiod. the problem is that too many heresy hunters call anyone who disagrees with them "false teachers". Take this first guy that Rod spotlighted who misrepresented Che Ahn, appointed him "NAR", and pretended that he didn't believe in the Trinity. That's not helpful, but is common among the heresy hunter crowd.
@jesusisLordperiod. in all honesty, I have lost a great deal of respect over the years for JP and most others like him. They have a tendency to go after the low hanging fruit in other theological camps (mostly Continuationists and/or Charismatics) while never seeing a thing wrong in their camp. Or worse, they make excuses for those in their camp. For instance, how long did Peters, Rosebrough, and Phil Johnson support JD Hall in his ad hominem invective filled attacks on others? It was only after he got kicked out of his church and exposed that they began to distance themselves from him. It seems they only have enough "discernment" to tell me for the one-millionth time that Benny Hinn, Mike Todd, Steven Futick, or Joel Osteen are to be "marked and avoided".
😂😂😂 They got owned in a big way 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Thanks brother Rodd🙏🙏
I guess these critics walked right into that one!
All these ministries podcast UA-camrs discernment ministers, all do the same thing they will take the words of some charismatic teacher preacher and twist what they have to say. Just last night I was having to discussion with Richard Moore. I challenged him about twisting the words of charismatic leaders. He wrote a pretty extensive article in the Evangelical review of theology . in this article I called him twice referring to Bill Johnson's book when heaven invades earth and this quoting him. Both times Bill Johnson is referring to people who rely on you and wisdom and understanding of the scriptures and not the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. I plan on writing this publication informing them that they did not do their job when they vetted his article. I wrote back to him showing his words from the article and what Bill Johnson actually says in his book. He has an answered back. Basically what he says Bill Johnson believes that people are filled with a religious spirit of the antichrist when they deny the anointing of the Holy Spirit. And rely on their own intellect. What Bill Johnson actually says, is that the spirit of antichrist is trying to get people to not believe in the supernatural power of Godyou can find this on page 81 of Bill Johnson's book. Thanks for the work that you're doing keep it up
I finally had a chance to watch the original video and I can see that Rod had to do some serious digging. The guy did not include the relevant clip in his video or in the description. I, also notice that Rod was the only person politely asking abou the clip.
I know that he's blind; however, there are workarounds. In truth, he needs to focus on a stream that actually works for him. It would also help to ask for help.
Yeah, it took some time to locate it, but I was pretty sure this was another case of discernment hackery so I had to find the source video. Once I did it was clear to me that he wasn't denying the Trinity. The Not by Sight guy said he would leave a link to the video in the description, but it's not there. Either he forgot it or intentionally left it out because he knew that it wouldn't support his claim. Sure hope it's the former.
@@JewandGreek He is not running a discernment ministry. I've watched some of his videos, a while back.
It appears that he is reacting to news clips related to the Church. So far, I've seen him react negatively to both reform pastors like John MacArthur and continuationist like Mike Bickle.
The problem is, he is really equipped to deal with either news reaction videos or discernment ministry. DEFINITELY not apologetics like you and a couple of others.
If you listen to the whole video then you'll be hearing a lot of red flags.
Slander and calumny! And just ignorance.
