    Overall great video. A little tip for those doing this, spread your brake pads with a flat head screw driver prior to removing the caliper. It will make removal easier, but more important, it'll make putting the caliper back on easier.

    Great video. I had to invest in a smaller 3/4" torque 80 lbs and 1/2' torque for stuff up to 150 lbs. I work on my Acura, Subaru, Ram Promaster and now the new Tundra. Might need to get an even higher torque wrench for some of the Ram and Tundra nuts.

    Really appreciate this video! My wife unfortunately hit a huge city pothole on the way to work and the sidewall ruptured . I was greater than an hour away and a buddy of a buddy deal changed her tire and unfortunately cross threaded a lug nut. This video helped me know what kind of time commitment I was looking at and was very helpful! Thanks again

    Yeah I think the tire shop stripped one of mine I'm going to make them fix it cuz they're the only ones that ever do my tire rotations cuz one of them won't come loose

    Is removing the rotor really necessary? I dont see how it gets in the way? Or is it just for more room

    Do you actually need impact wrench+Vice Grip or can you just use torque wrench + Wheel stud installer instead?

    Isn’t impact gun the most common reason for stretching these wheel studs??????

    Oh god it always kills me...... why can tire people never install the tire properly??!??!?! The yellow dot is supposed to be positioned over the valve stem not away from it 😭 dont ask why it bugs me it just does and makes balancing the tires easier lol oh and fun fact it makes it easier to take the caliper off if you put a pry bar into the center of rotor and push the pistons back a bit to allow space to get caliper off without having friction

    Yo stupid question probably but can i can i do that without an impact gun? I assume i can create the same force needed but never done one myself and im not about to pay subaru 90$ for some shit i can do myself lol

    • @BeeAboveAverage
      @BeeAboveAverage  2 роки тому

      Yea you can do this with a normal ratchet without a problem. I just used an impact gun to make it faster. Sorry for the late reply but I hope this helps you! :)

    I don't know what is up with these wheel studs on these cars but i've never had such crappy oem wheel studs! every time my wheels come off they've broke... I made Subaru replace them all because they put the new tires on when I bought the car... they had to replace 10 of them!! stripped and or broken because they put them on with impact wrench! ( You would think Subaru would know better) I went to rotate my tires the next time because I do my own work for this exact reason I DON'T trust ANY shop and I know exactly what's getting done.... and... again broken studs which were the ones Subaru just fixed and they put them on with impact wrenches AGAIN!!! I confirmed with torque wrench. They ghosted me when I called them out on it.. fixed it myself. DON'T IMPACT YOUR LUGS ON!! also don't use your lug nuts to pull your studs through.. I swear these threads on the studs and lugs are made of tin foil.
