@@ParchedPinemarten Absolutely. I have a friend who went down that road about 12 years ago. He's still alive and not in jail, but he's never coming back.
Absolute perfection! You know when it's a banger when you play on replay for ages!
When they came out, I about died when I saw D'Arcy's name printed in the CD liner booklet, because I'd never known anyone with their name so closely spelled like mine. I also absolutely still love the Smashing Pumpkins!
This is one my favorite live performances of all time
Very tight. Never knew Darcy sang so much on the verses... its awesome. Big part of their sound.
Ngl after 13 years I discovered this song on GH3 still bring tear to my eyes every time I listen. Good music is timeless
Billy is so cool with his teeth and voice and everything that looking at him freezes my eyeballs. ..makes my ears ecstatic.
@Mike Russo ...look closer, Billy's teeth are perfect, vampire white. Sexy. And everything else he is,was, will be is perfect. Talent beyond this earth and gorgeous teeth thru which he sings.
Sometimes I forget how much i love this band especially this period
Siamese Dream is a fucking masterpiece!
This is why I love the Smashing Pumpkins. This is such an original version to the song! More bands need to do acoustic stuff! You appreciate it more!
Maybe you've already heard of it/heard it but if you're into acoustic covers you might want to check some MTV Unplugged shows, from which I think Alice In Chain's one is one of the best from the bunch. Cheers!
I have been a Smashing Pumpkins since Gish came out in 1991. I have never seen this version before. Stunning. Just stunning. Thank you so much for posting.
I work out to this every morning. Amazing what clarity you get when increased oxygen is flowing into your brain. We are truly trapped in an existence that screams “Let me out.”
Same
Look children, this was actual MUSIC TELEVISION. When real individuals made music by their own and smart people got them on TV and the kids cared about things that belonged...
real voices too, not made by computers. real instruments too, played by several talented human hands who managed to work together. ahh, the good ol days, huh? lol do they call you grampa too? im mamaw now HA!
what a bullshit comment
Oh my god shut up
Kids these days are so musically ignorant brainwashed by the garbage that is out there today. Even the rap cannot touch the rap of the 90's excluding eminem.
The fact that I enjoyed this comment reminds me that I am old lol. The irony is that this era of music in the 90's was shit on by the boomers and now we shit on new music. The craziest part is this generation will shit on new music 25 years from now when nostalgic about the music from 2020 lol
You know a song is good when it works acoustically, too! That’s the test! And this is amazing!
I miss everything in this video: Ray Cokes' MTV (best MTV years, and I was happy to have it in France, thru cable TV) and Siamese Dream SP.
"As you've never heard it before, and will probably never hear it again".
Sure heard it again, alright
As you've never before though?
Darcy sounds and looks damn good .
Serious Darcy fanboy appreciation and worship 😎
This is kick ass acoustic! Way to go smashing pumpkins 👌👍
The best alternative rock band ever.
No dude sorry
@Robert Bru but the chili peppers do smartass
@charles yes. RHCP and their BSSM album is amazing but Smashing Pumpkins is better. Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie are just incredible albums
The Offspring were best by far
yes they are.. and then comes radiohead, sonic youth and my bloody valentine..
Billy has one of the most memorable voices in music 🎶🎵👌😊
he is a really great song writer with a weird voice but it somehow works when they are rocking out an he is screaming his lungs out. Rock music doesn't work if it is too neat and pretty and Billy has just the right amount of weirdness to make a really cool wild sound.
the blonde chick was always the coolest member of that band
James Iha?
This is incredibly tight musically... and what a bunch of cool characters they were!
