For those of you who don't play this game, I'm sure this won't make any sense to you, sorry about that, but it may be entertaining to watch regardless.
It took a long time for me to figure out how to do this exploit/glitch to farm "Cursed Items" (these are extremely rare pieces of equipment that you "purify" to turn into the items themselves.) I had to do research, and watch other videos that weren't easy to follow, and didn't have the information I needed, so I decided to make my own! I had a lot of fun making this, even though it was a lot of work. I had to re-edit and add some more voice and video clips. This took about 3 weeks to complete. Oof. But it was fun to put together! I haven't made a project like this in ages.
I wanted to make a tutorial that wouldn't confuse anybody and get to the point faster. Not enough tutorial videos seem to. This video game is awesome! In particular, "Dark Arisen" includes the DLC called "Bitterblack Isle" which is a separate HUGE dungeon with its own series of quests and items you can earn. It's hard as HELL, but super fun.

Anyway I just got this game this year like last month & have 425 hours & only did a few story quest like I'm on "Regourp with Ser Mercedes" & once I heard about the DLC I stopped advancing 😂 & went into BBI.
I'm lvl 178 & almost maxed every voc. I'm loving the game so much & beat BBI so many times now so I take it I can still do this glitch? I'll make a backup save just incase the file gets messed up.

You can do the glitch as long as you haven’t fought Damon’s second form yet. 😁
So I found out just today that you don't have to run all the way back. You can exit the sanctum, turn around, and go back in. The gate and chests will still be closed and you can rinse and repeat that way.

Thanks for telling me. I remember seeing other videos that did and it broke the ability to exit the gated room cuz it was locked when you go back inside, or the door wouldn’t open at all! I wonder if that was a happy accident.

Fun fact to speed up the barrel trick without the dodge roll. Everytime you jump your character has a brief moment of idk how to put it recovery, like bend their knees and getting straight. If you pause the game at that exact moment and change anything in your equipment, unpause and jump again it will almost always end up in immeadiate success.

Necromancing to say that it works better with shortn't characters even without the pause menu+not holding "w", just jumping with your character. Heard that having the camera pointed down also helps, but untested
it also depend on how tall is the character, the taller you are the easier is to do the glitch

Very good guide, few things I want to clarify, you can do this glitch post game so you can kill grigori, you can also leave the isle by talking to Olra and you can do side quests/dark bishop farming, to make sure the glitch still works, make sure that the liftstone does not work inside the isle, should work outside of the isle.

Theres actually something cool I noticed too when doing this, Everything in the room is refreshed, theres a wakestone on the alter that refreshes every time you re-enter the room so It's a nice little way to get wakestones if you want, Also having killed the dragon and made it to post-game, the glitch still works, though you just wont get the cutscene for it
I can't believe that if you leave the throne room and come back, the chests will be closed again; no need to get back to orla, it speeds up farming a lot and also nets you lots of RC. I hope that when dd 2 is released you upload tutorials like these, it's very entertaining 🙏🏾

You're a godsend for making this. This is so much faster than other methods I've seen, but I'm having the absolute worst time getting Gear Lv. 3 (the biggest reason I stumbled on this video) from those chests. It's always Novelty Lv. 3 or RC. I forgot to grab the Godsbane out of my storage, so I have no choice but to run in and out of the room to reset the loot, but it's a bit frustrating.
Edit: Just found out from the Wiki that Post-Daimon does not drop Gear Lv. 3, and now I'm back to sobbing trying to find a quick method to farm those that isn't just somehow cheesing Death. But, at least I have a plethora of armor and weapons.

there is a room with 2 chained gorecyclops, if you kill everything else in that room you can safely use master thief on the cyclops' feet to steel all their loot without fighting them. They have a chance to drop gear 3 but it seems extremely rare, i farmed this exploit for a good 20 minutes and didn't get one but it is confirmed possible. Only reliable farm i know is a chest or 2 that have a very high chance for gear 3 but you need to sleep for about a week to refresh them which is just as tedious.

Yeah, I tried that method out, but did the Midnight Helix spot because I didn't have the shortcuts opened on the save I was using. Decided it was a waste of time as I spent about an hour without getting a single Gear. Found a far more useful chest run by MattTheMan2708 that lets you get about 10-11 Gear Lv.3 in about 15 minutes. You do need to sleep for 5 days, but it's made faster by turning your game to Offline so you skip the server-uploading bit. All that in under an hour doesn't make sleeping all that tedious, I think.

@@thatguyintheconments No, I've just done a sorc playthrough so I didn't have rolling. What I found out that worked for me 100% of the time is: Place the barrel at the corner, grab something. Jump 3 times while walking towards the door and on the 4th jump just jump straight up. For some reason the door sucks you in. Worked for me 100% of the times on the chest gate.
@@Rofel_Wodring I don't roll either. for me I place the first barrel, grab the second one, jump 4 times. on the 4th jump, the second I hit the floor I pause equip/unequip my headwear, then hold my stick towards the corner while I spam jump as I unpause. Works 100% of the time for me. It's how I get my early weapon and 2 rings of perseverance.
Aw man i had no clue that you can do the bbi clip with just dagger roll, i've been wasting my time doing the two barrel clip instead every playthru for all of the moonbeam doors. The more you know ig

after i got the Bane Archistaff, running cost much lesser stamina augment, and easily defeat the first drake, the cursed item is less important thing...

the way i do the barrel glitch with almost always first jump success is, always on the right side, not left side. after you put barrel, instead of spam jumping, put the camera down, wait 2 or more seconds inside the barrel, and jump in place, not ahead. the barrel will push you inside. if it didn't work, instead of pointing camera down, face it opposite of the door (facing away). and then jump into the room. this works 90% of the time and pretty quick too.

Bruh......... I'v been a Magick Archer since PS3 and just yesterday I used two barrels to do the glitch never even thinking it was possible to just combat roll into it. I'm definitely with you, fook that method.

Like actually the worst part about BBI is to farm for very specific purified stuff that you want, so when I wiped my file to play along with a friend I just couldn't bother grinding lvl3 stuff.

Door glitching while holding a barrel is much easier if your character is tall preferably at least 180cm also make sure that FPS is set on 30 Frames as well.
I remember it being much easier when I played a tall male character! It’s the damndest thing! lol
Too bad for short characters😅 I think the minimum height is 174cm to be able to do the glitch any shorter they won't be able to do it Lol.

Also, you can do this ANYTIME, even when your pawns are fighting Daimon - I did it - mid battle and fought Daimon behind the gate with chests.
There is an easier way to get inside the gate when you are not playing with an archer character: you do the barrel glitch as usual, grab and item, go inside the barrel and jump three times, and on the third jump you have to pause the game at the exact moment your character lands, then go to you equipment, take of your pants, return to the pause menu and un-pause, at the exact same time you have to run and jump. You should have phased across the gate if you did it right. I know reading it sounds complicated, but it is actually easier and more consistant than just spam-jumping, once you get used to it you can glitch inside very easily
funny how i first struggled with glitching through doors and now i know three different ways. xD

This has been re-edited quite a bit, though.
I've found that you can do the barrel thing even without killing Daimon, just have your pawns distract him and then quickly do the thing, then leave through the doors up the stairs and then take the shortcut that gets you closest to Daimon and do it all over... However that also comes with a downside of... You cannot save... Yea you're permanently locked into combat, so while you can Sleep, Talk even leave the isle entirely... You Cannot do a Manual save, i haven't tried starting a NG+ nor do i really want to cause this char is just level 50 so it was kinda damn annoying getting to him in the first place.
But yea! Getting Daimon chests without actually beating Daimon.

The method without rolling actually gets easier, if your character is larger, don't ask me how this works, but it does.

Are you getting 1 armor lvl3 each run? As a MA, you can melt Daimon pretty quick with some magick rebalancer. I think that chest runs and Daimon kills will be faster than this, especially with the shortcut to Daimon. If you dont have weapons yet i can see this being useful but once you get your level 3s i think the chest routes will beat this. MAYBE. The RNG on those chests are ROUGH. Finally a video actually showed the whole glitch. I heard about this awhile back and was constantly paranoid that i was farming wrong lol

Okay though i don't plan to farm using this method but still appreciate it because im happy when seeing someone still put them into the game's contents. But the truth is this method is - like you said - so boring and i would fall asleep while doing it 😂 So i actually have another question : how to get more rift crystals ? im new to the game and meet the problem of lacking RC while farming the bitter's cursed items.

Honestly, BBI’s monsters seem to drop the most crystals. Farming those requires lots of fighting and going back and forth, too.

Funny video, pretty well known glitch though. There are more dragon's dogma exploits than this too like the infinite xp glitch for low levels and the post game infinite exp exploit. In post game you can jump on a ledge for the endless guards and they can't get you....however your pawns will kill them meaning you can afk lol

@SunBunz yeah the developers forgot to give the guards the ability to jump so they can't get up on walls or ledges....on top of that doing so causes the guards ai to get confused because their primary target is set to you not your pawns...the end result is endless waves of guards running back and forth trying to figure out how to reach you as pawns obliterate them.

lmao the barrel glitch only took me 4 jumps to get inside and it always works "currently 50 times" with no fail
I found out after I uploaded the video it depends on how TALL your Arisen is! 😂
I tried it with a taller male Arisen and same, it only took a couple tries.
Take off all ur armor and leave a helmet on when u do the barrel glitch then when u jump as soon as u land take the helmet off and jump 99% of the time u will get through faster

so, i dont know if its the jump height mod, or the carryweight mod, or that the game is modded at all (tbh i dont really want the jump height one, but it came in a mod package with a bunch of other stuff i wanted, so i was stuck with it. the pawns have increased jump height, too, but dont have the pathfinding to compensate, so they very often throw themselves over the edges of cliffs when they jump over treasure boxes i was looting. it happens very often.), or maybe its just because the way i customized my character (6ft tall mountain of muscle and woman), but it was actually super consistent for me doing the jumping method, and i didnt even unequip anything. within 3-4 jumps, im in
bit of a tip to better pull this off that i noticed, the glitch works in the direction your character is facing/moving in, so you need to actually angle yourself to go through the door, if the camera is facing too far into the corner, that's where you're gonna end up instead. happened to me one time when i thought to myself as i was doing the glitch, "maybe im turned into the corner too much," right before i glitched into the corner instead of through the door. might be just a coincidence, though, but thats quite the coincidence
Height might be a factor, actually! On my previous playthru, I had an average-sized (but taller than my current Arisen) male character, and it seemed to work a lot better!

Another thing, if you repair the rift stone outside daimons doorway you can load all junk and everything you cant carry onto your pawn then yeet them off a cliff to store it. This allows you to farm for infinite amounts of time

The other way with two barrels is actually faster , you just have to aim your camera differently and you’ll clip right through, you didn’t even move the camera

I completely messed up on daimon thing soo I kinda blast arrowed my way through until he did the absorptiong attack
genuine question why cant you use lift stones and also you can infinitely get wakestones here
@@VeiVei-05 I figured out why:
When you “pause the questline” the game ‘thinks’ you’re still in that room with Damien, (during a boss fight) and you can’t use liftstones in that room at that time, hence you can’t use them anywhere until you “unfreeze” the quest.
The only way to leave BBI, is to head for the main entrance on foot and ask Orla, and you can ask her again to go back by boat if you want. If you leave BBI, you can still use regular ferrystones to go wherever because they’re not the same thing.
Only after you go up the stairs past the large room and see the cutscene when you’re done glitching will you be able to use liftstones again.

I think i messed up somehow. I did all the things in the video correctly but when i go back to daimon's room he is there and i have to fight him. I don't know what to do now

Any archer class. Striders/Rangers/Assasins/Magic Archers :)
As long as you have daggers tho, if you're an assassin with a sword on you can't, cus roll and double jump are dagger skills
@@tiagogato7398 yeah got further into the game saw all the options for combat, and got all of them. Now I just need to get those skills
So the 2nd method is extremely easy. You just have to change your angle. I get in after like 2 or 3 jumps but that's just me maybe. I jumped through all the walls in the main room lol.
Apparently character’s height also changes how easy it is!

Can you use the same shortcut to get back to Daiman instead of running all the way through
Unfortunately, no. I wish you could, it’s a pain, but I’ve done it so many times, I memorized the layout on how to get to him, it takes about 2 mins if you haul ass and don’t even worry about bringing any pawns. Just be sure to bring a lantern because some areas have no light. And when you’re done, you can go back to the entrance to the dungeon the long way and stop for awhile if you want to glitch more later.

@@maux9175 you have to go the long way, unfortunately. When you’re done with glitching, to un-freeze the questline, then you can go up the stairs (shortcut) to the entrance from the room you fought Daiman. It’ll be on a balcony, and there’s no way to get back up, it’s an exit only. That’ll trigger the cutscene.

When you enter the big room the game will save automatically. If you save while you’re in the locked room with the barrels you may load the save in the same room, but if that happens, definitely use Godsbane, and it should spawn you either at the entrance or outside the locked room. I haven’t been dumb enough to try. lol
It is the same, the only difference is that Daimon isn't alive everytime you get to that room and that you don't have to go to Gran Soren to sleep in the inn to make Daimon spawn again, which, let's say, makes it faster to farm, but, since you cannot use liftstones, I'm not sure whether it is better to use your glitch or the normal way.
The question is, what's faster?, getting to Daimon, killing him, using a lifstone, going to Gran Soren and finally getting back to Daimon or getting to Daimon, getting passed the door with the glitch, going back all the way by foot to the NPC and then getting back to Daimon's room?
Personally I find the normal way better since I don't need to be running around and being paying close attention to the screen.
This was the only method I found in my research that works, it’s not perfect, but I’m all for more input on any other better, faster methods! Thanks so much!
2:01 nah man the REALLY GROSS SPIDERS I KNOW.. are shelob from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Aragog from Harry Potter snd the Chamber of Secrets. Lastly the aberage and GIANT SIZE spiders of the Frostbite Spiders.
I like to pick them up and toss them off cliffs. They make a silly sound when they do. lol

Okay, this "things you need to know" is kinda confusing.
1. "Don't do this glitch on the first playthrough". Well, when i did first playthrough, i just farming coin by selling all the loot moonbeam gem door through door glitcb and then save it and change the hard mode. I did this repeattly three time, i don't know the questline BBI will freeze, cuz i haven't try it yet.
2. "Cannot use a liftstone to get back". As far as i know, when we player battling Daimon, we can't use a liftstone. Is this really the way to get back to Olra by travelling on foot all the way back to olra??
3. At point of number 3, this glitch at daimon chamber hall can be activated, by destroying daimon second form??
I’m so sorry if I confused you! My bad. I’ll clarify:
1. I don’t _recommend_ doing it on your first play through (some people might not want to play this game repeatedly) because it tends to make side quests in the DLC quest board not appear, so you’ll miss the opportunity to get certain items.
2. After exiting the room where you fought Daimon’s _1st_ form (using a barrel through the gate) it locks the questline which forces the game into thinking you’re still in the room, and obviously liftstones are deactivated when you’re in there. They’re locked in place, basically. Until you go up the stairs and “finish” and see that cutscene with Orla and her boyfriend, the use of liftstones inside the dungeon will not work. You’ll notice it when you attempt to use one.
So if you decide to glitch for awhile, and want to come back and do more later, you have to leave through the big gated door and exit the dungeon all the way on foot, and if you want to go back to glitch more you have to go on foot all the way back to that room again. (The gate in front of the big entrance door will be unlocked when you come back)
(Note: You can use liftstones outside Bitterblack Isle, though. You just have to ask Orla to take you back to town directly to leave, and talk to her again to take you back)
3. You can only do this quest after killing Daimon’s _1st_ form because you lock the questline prior to seeing that cutscene with Orla. This cutscene doesn’t appear after you beat his second form.
It’s not an exact science, the first one is more of a suggestion, the 2nd and 3rd are to remind you what will not be accessible. Why this glitch can’t be done “post game” I don’t know. It’s a glitch, so there’s factors that come into play that is just coding stuff, I guess.

How do you get a choice to not fight his second form? When I kill him, he instantly goes into phase two.
Are we talking about the second form where there’s a face in his chest? If not, it’s still his first form, (his appearance changes, but I think that’s where it gets confusing) we can only fight that when we’ve defeated him once, and the quests resets as a “part 2” kind of thing.
do it on first playthrough, then change on hard mode, then switch no normal. Or just stay on hard and farm money (10k) 60% from all pokemons

So, just to clarify. Kill Daimon, glitch through and go through Corridor of the Hallowed. Talk to Orla. Once that is done, do we have to go back through Bitterblack EVERY SINGLE time to continue the glitch, or, once we get back to Daimon's room "Post Daimon", can we simply get the stuff, glitch out to the Forgotten City and go back in with reset chests?
Unfortunately, in order to continue glitching, you have to exit thru the big doors you came in (The huge room where you fought Daimon) which opens to that big ruined city, and go all the way back the long way to the entrance if you wanna leave. If you go up the stairs past those chests it un-freezes the quest and you can’t continue the glitch after that’d because it’ll finish that questline. Glitching will no longer be possible after that.
So in a nutshell, you can glitch for as long as you want but if you wanna leave and come back to do more later, you have to exit the _lonnnnnng_ way back the same way you came in.

2 quick questions, does it still work and why do the liftstones not work after doing the glitch? I plan on doing it cause I don’t wanna keep running BBI over and over for low level stuff lol I’ve beaten Daimon on a previous save and haven’t touched hard mode yet just wanting to stock up on cursed crap
Yes, it still works. And yes, unfortunately you can’t use Liftstones because glitching out the door tricks the game into thinking you’re still inside that room which essentially means it thinks you can’t use fast travel because we can’t fast travel while fighting Daimon.
Glitch logic, I guess. So yeah, you can farm the items as much as you want, but if you wanna leave and save and go back later to do more, you have to travel on foot back to the entrance the long way to Orla in order to do so. I eventually memorized the layout and it takes about 3 mins tops to get back to the entrance on foot if you run non-stop. (With a light load of gear on your person, that is)
So just to be clear if i do it on my first playthrough (before end game) it would freeze the bitterblack quest entirely? Or just as im doing the glitching and then i can continue? Thanks for the video but i didn't understand that part 😅

it seems that this doesn't work post daimon so you can't farm level 3 armor which i was interested in, sad. i'll keep godsbaning then

oh yeah i was confused as to why not to use liftstones? does it reset damian since its a direct port out. only reason i can see not using the liftstone is that it acts like you used the door after his boss fight.
Yeah, so when you fight Daimon, you’re not able to use lifestones to exit the room during the battle, so by glitching out the door, you’re “tricking” the game into thinking you’re still fighting him by freezing the questline, which makes the game “think” you’re still in the room the whole time since you haven’t exited out the correct door.

I know this is late but how would I have godbane if I hadn't killed the end dragon? Also how do I fix this once I have done it so many times I'm dead inside, so the story isn't glitched
Sorry, I should’ve been more clear: people can gift you Godsbane, but when I suggested don’t do the glitch on your first playthru of BBI, because it can glitch out the other quests from showing up after you “unfreeze” it. Are you stuck?
I have a silly question, if daimon is the last boss of the game and the strongest, why do I need to farm more? What is the point? I'm new to the game and I don't know if there is an even more difficult challenge that requires better gear
Uggh, I’m so sorry, UA-cam NEVER shows me notifications, so sorry for the late reply. Daimon’s SECOND form is the strongest, and farming cursed items can be given to friends (which is why I did so) and you can collect and save for multiple playthroughs as well. You don’t NEED to farm, but these items are rare, so this is just an exploit to get more of them more easily.

It had to be after beating him in his first form in order to glitch out the door because it shuts behind you after the battle.

I looked up the DDDA Wiki. I think the quest you’re referring to is called “Eyes of the Deep.” Here’s what I found:
“Upon completing this Quest, Barroch will upgrade his stock with new curatives and some clothing.
If an eye has already been acquired from a previous playthrough (or gifted from another Arisen), the eye may simply be withdrawn from storage to complete the quest.
Because only three quests may be undertaken from this notice board at any given time, it will be necessary to complete two of the other four previously offered quests (Dousing the Blight, A Guiding Light, Slumbering Promise and Visions of the End I) in order to obtain this quest.”

when rerolling cursed items should i do one at a time or all at once? and if i get the same items after changing our vocations does that mean i did it wrong?
No, not at all, you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s weird and confusing.
If you say want a sword for a fighter and a bow for an archer, make one of your characters a fighter, and the pawn an archer, for example. Ever cursed item is will be the same one every time for each vocation chosen, they’re not randomized. You’re gonna get copies for sure. Just sell the ones you don’t want.

Yes and yes!
Just make sure you only fight Daimon’s first form and don’t kill Grigori yet.
Once you unfreeze the questline in BBI, it will go back to normal. I only suggested doing it on a second playthru because sometimes some quests on the board in BBI may not appear after glitching, but it’s rare.

Yeah, I just threw that in cuz it was hilarious. In Bitterblack Isle, there’s these fleshy things hanging from the ceiling in some small rooms, and for whatever reason after killing enemies nearby, they spin absolutely out of control. (Psychics glitch) Everyone grabs onto them and launches themself off. 😂

What happen if you already beat Dragon or beat Daimon? Did the glitch failed or the Daimon just respawn? Or it just works?
If you beat Daimon’s first form and continued and let the 2nd form appear (which is like the stage 2 of BBI’s questline) the only way to do it is the beat the main game and start over (new game plus). It’s the only way to restart BBI’s questline from the beginning in order to fight Daimon’s first form and freeze it into place.
Beating Grigori (big red dragon) afterwards is called “post game” meaning it’s the very end of the main game-so although you _can_ go back to BBI, I was told that glitch-farming deactivates-if I remember correctly, if you glitch out the gate after fighting the first form, when you come back through the doors, the gate remains shut so you can’t go back in to farm the items. (Or the big door might not reopen) It is a glitch after all, (which doesn’t have an exact perfect system) so it could work for some people and not work for others. I haven’t tried it cuz I didn’t want to risk beating the game and trying glitching afterwards.
I just suggest farming the items prior to killing Gragori just to be safe, otherwise you have to start the whole main game over.
Case in point, don’t beat the main game yet, and only fight Daimon’s first form and glitch out the gated door in order to farm-glitch the items. Glitch to your heart’s content, and beat the game afterwards. 😎
@@SunBunz i see, so the one is better chance of the glitch will work is if you didn't enter the post game because the game went wacky. And for the glitch to work you need to trigger the BBI questline. And by talking to the girl at the harbor will trigger the Second run, But! Since the quest didn't end the game bugged and the inside already became the second run monster and since daimon ded and questline still active it won't active.

I friggin love this game. I played the shit out of it months back. Although I don't have every BBL item but I have a decent bit. I mainly wanted the stuff from the Ur dragon. I must be terrible at causing damage on him because everything I got was kinda lame.
I gave up on the Ur-Dragon. lol Too much of a pain, and yeah, the rewards are usually randomized crap you don’t want. And it takes HOURS AND HOURS to kill him! That’s not fun! lol

ok so this is great for weapons armor and RC but got any good ones for gear. there is the one where you loot the chest but i have no clue how the respawn mechanic works. i waited 3 days like one video said and nothing then i waited a week and still nothing. but other times i go in the dungeon for like 5 minutes come out go back to check and its reset.
Yeah it sucks that it’s random.
@@SunBunz oh it isnt XD. i was just being stupid. you rest outside of BBI and not inside it. it wont reset if you sleep at BBI. so yeah just set a portal stone next to a rest guy and hop back and forth. the part that sucks about this grind is how long it takes to run back and forth for a single item over and over again with each time needing to rest for 3 days. its 3 days btw.

@@teambreezyarduraledo180 gear is only for the first time where you get the level 2 gear. once you fully start the glitch it will just be novelties armor weapons the moongem and the rift crystals.
