If you want a sorcerer maxed out, follow this guide up to farming Death. (This works only on Normal in my experience so you’ll be grinding longer, due to his increased knockdown resistance) To farm him, you want Dragons Wit (it can be found randomly in the really claustrophobic room with the Eliminators. Set up a save, sprint to the chest, and if you don’t get it, let everything kill you to reset the chest) Instead of immediately running to the platform where you’ll known him down, hit him with a Gicel (only hit him when he notices you, if you catch him unawares this doesn’t work properly) Then lure him to the platform the same way, and hit him with a second Gicel, which will knock him down. As far as I know, you need to hit him twice in total for him to get knocked down, and hitting him unawares knocks him down immediately. And from what I read in hard mode his knockdown resistance recovers in a way so to knock him down it has to be consecutive hits, which isn’t really something you can do as a Sorcerer. Oh yeah, final thing, play around with the distance between the ledge, stand in the middle of the square platform, as Gicel needs ground to actually rise from. If you’re too close to the edge, it doesn’t work. This is slower than the Assassin build, but I’ve found it to work. Hope this helps! Oh and correct me if there’s an easier way to do this because there most likely is lol
Another method, though a bit longer is to use Holy Focused Bolt from the other side of a wall, though you actually have to kill him when you do it that way. Takes about the same amount of time and can be done on hard.
Just wanted to correct 1 thing because I got confused. The staff you want is Dragons Risen. Which can be found in Bitterblack isle. Dragon's wit is from killing Grigori the big red dragon from the story.
Just a heads up if you are in fact lvling a mage just farm the last boss of bbi. Use holy and charge ur staff and spam. Suuuuper easy boss with mage/soc with holy..+ u get all the bbi weapons and armor.

Cool thing I found out, after you kill death, you can place a rancid bait meat down, summon an elder ogre, and lure it off the cliff. If you do this while the charm is still in effect, you can get a bit of extra exp,
This guide is amazing. Got Dragons Dogma recently on Switch when it was on sale. I played game long ago on PC but didn't really like it. Thanks to this guide I have a head start in wrecking stuff. :D Didn't do evetyhing exactly like in the video. After returning from killing Cyclops and Eye monster I took my sweet time to do some side quests, level up my pawn, etc. And then I came back to BBI and killed death over and over till 200. :)
What do you do if Barroch stops selling the charms? I've rested in cassardis about 14 times now and his stock has yet to replenish (this is after the Gazer). Scratch that. I'm an idiot. I was overencumbered. Lol.
You can use the blasts with a small character. It just takes a little longer because you have to go back to get more from your inventory. You can carry at least 70, and that's enough to kill the goreclopse, and the eye thing. About 45 blasts for each big guy with a few extras to take care of minor enemies. But if you carry that little amount you'll have to make sure every blast hits, or you'll run out.
thank you for this guide, I'm playing this right now and I'm addicted to it! I just killed the archbishop boss with its dragon. now I'm moving on to the next area guided by your tutorial here. hehe.
i know it OLD but as someone who give to people on reddit if your going the MA route for max Magic power or simple put MAge to lvl 10 and Sorc to 200, to compensate for the Blast arrow USE HIGH GICEL, SLower and requires pre casting but once you do it usually take only two hits form a fully charge high gicel to knock him down hope that helps

Word of advice: If you want to ensure you get the equipment for your class to proc, make sure you have both you and your pawn's vocations are set to Strider, Warrior, or Mage: All purified equipment types run off of a list randomly generated at the start of game, but the specific class armors that drop will always be ones that your current class can use. Example: An Assassin with a Strider Pawn will proc both Strider and Warrior class gear, but two Striders proc only Strider gear.
No, its vocation color that does it. And its generated when you pick it up, not at the start of the game. You can get strider gear as a ranger for example.
@@pemudabergairah The vocation color. Thats why hybrid vocations arent good for purifying gear. Fighter AND warrior, strider AND ranger, mage AND sorc.

That is one *SWOLE* Arisen you made there. Also, great video . I would have been awestruck seeing someone kill Death four years ago.
I remember first kill of mine was 4 years ago. Saw a post on gamefaqs, was able to do it then a lot easier than now. And I leveled the same.
Can’t play dd 2 yet so I decided to do another playthrough of ddda, felt like it took me weeks to hit 200 before but thanks to you I hit it in just one day. Incredible guide and many thanks :)
Wow all these years and I had no idea you could kick the dam ox lol thank you
LMAO yeah me too, only found out about it on my 4th playthru. What I would do though, is mount the ox so I dont have to walk
But too many kicks can kill it.
@@dwaynecowart2451 I just ride it and get on my phone for 5 minutes lol
I saw that and said, "wait, what?" out loud.
I dont remember if I learned that by accident (dying in the process), or from the strategy guide my step father got with the vanilla preorder. Of course this only works if you dont care about magic.
Just a friendly reminder, don't kill other players pawns when you have a rift portal next to you, just send them back.
A pawn that goes back to the owner because it was killed, is given a 3 star review
im going to continue to throw them off into water when i dont want them
@@cooked4048 giga chad
Bruh some guys get off on killing pawns .bruh the don’t care about 3 star ratings . Bruh I had someone use my pawn and I got 1,000,000 RC and they rated my pawn 1 star . Now no one can use them . it’s the same way on sims where you can bbq your babies and eat them . Twisted world we live in . But to each there own.
@@kingkushezio2581 wait up, in what sims can you make bbq out of babies? I wanna try out
@@umgato.3017 sims 2 had gameplay back in the day simmers were doing . I didn’t but it’s there . I dk if you can do it now but back when sims 2 came out you could .
I followed this guide and got to max level having never played this game before. It was one hell of an experience.
i like to imagine that last caster skele kills itself out of frustration at not being able to hit you on the bridge.
Thank you so much for this guide!!! Although the Bishop and his dragon were the ones that ga e me the most issues, died about 14 times.
Well this video was just a throwblast to the past. Awesome game. Great video too!
Underrated comment
I actually enjoy leveling slowly, gives me purpose to get better gear at lower levels.
Ikr
I like it too. But sometimes getting stupidly stronger in a few minutes is delicious hahahahahahaha
Only took me 7 hours lol but I did it thanks to you , amazing and fun guide to follow
3 Years after buying the game I've finally decided to go back to it. I've beat it on the 360 back in the day, but playing it again is bringing back fun memories.
If you want a sorcerer maxed out, follow this guide up to farming Death.
(This works only on Normal in my experience so you’ll be grinding longer, due to his increased knockdown resistance)
To farm him, you want Dragons Wit (it can be found randomly in the really claustrophobic room with the Eliminators. Set up a save, sprint to the chest, and if you don’t get it, let everything kill you to reset the chest)
Instead of immediately running to the platform where you’ll known him down, hit him with a Gicel (only hit him when he notices you, if you catch him unawares this doesn’t work properly)
Then lure him to the platform the same way, and hit him with a second Gicel, which will knock him down.
@@Weedknight-oi9zcbut daimon has high magic resist? wouldnt that take like a million years to do?
This game is criminally underrated
Thanks for all the help, I'm on my way back to kill daimon for a 2nd time now. Your guide is probably one of the best I've ever seen
3 years later.... Here we go again 😂 (and I already forgot to buy a ton of bombs)...😭
Best guide ever on level up fast. I only saw this when I'm level 90 and it still work in 22 Jun 2020. I need to run a few times as I didn't have enough weight to carry the blast arrows.
"Still works" no shit. It's not like it's a bug.
@@hi7535plus the game is over a decade old, it stopped getting pat he's ages ago 😂
One of the best RPG games that I played 👍👍 I happen to buy this game in switch since it was on discounted price. I thought it wouldn't hurt much if bought it while not knowing if it's worth playing.. Never regret playing such a masterpiece. Looking forward to DD2
Number one thing I learned from this: throwblasts are way stronger than I first thought
You are really dedicated to this game! Keep up the good work! I just found your video and it really helps when I want to do a new playthrough but don't want to go through that slow-ass beginning part! Again Thx so much!

@@WolffangPL I try
That depends on what you mean by "ignore"
This bloody comment is extremely high in the dominance hierarchy
Can I just say that your Vids are really well made? You are criminally underrated, keep up the good work my dude
Damn, this was especially useful after reaching NG+ by casual play. Setting the Death farming up was easy as pie but I never would have come up with it myself.
Jesus christ this whole video is the biggest "NO U" ever.
AND I LOVE IT
I might have accidentally skipped a hidden step. Thats to forget to sign in to the servers for several months, then sign in, and watch your rift-crystal bank get flooded with those outworldly $$$$$$$$
I played this on release years ago and just recently got back into. Was real surprised at how powerful throwables can be, never used them before this playthrough. I just beat the gore cyclops making my way through the bbi. This game is definitely a gem
Didn't do evetyhing exactly like in the video.
Lol.
42:05 she tried to run away, she knew what was coming ;_;
“Just run to the next area”
*doesnt guide you through maze*
Basically.
Well I think he assumes you've played the game before. Its be kinda weird to pick up a game and already be trying to break it
You can use the blasts with a small character.
This video was both informative and hilarious.
thank you for this guide, I'm playing this right now and I'm addicted to it!
That was an awesome experience to follow along with, ended up running out of blast arrows with Daimon and had a good old dark souls moment battling it out I prevailed ⚔️ thanks for the help homie.🤘

You play dragons dogma like dark souls lol.
For real dragons dogma is a survival rpg and hes over here running through everything
I never knew there was another area and I hit max lvl already by doing the story over and over.

They have but its only available in japan
@@raccoonmaster3681 thats dragons dogma online, not a sequel and they already stopped supporting the game.
I have used ypur tutorial and i really enjoy playing dragon dogma now. It is still difficult to play at times as the enemies appear at random. But the blast bow and throwblasts are such a game mechanic. It gets me thinking bout how else this game can be played. Thank yoj bro!
I love everything about this video.
By far, the best guide i've followed.
It took me days of playing to get to level 120 a few years ago I cant believe its this easy now
This is the best thing I've seen all year
YOU CAN KICK THE OX TO MAKE IT GO FASTER!!!????? I wish i knew that before
I accidentally dropped his health at the minimum by doing this lmao
You can also climb on it for some afk time.
OMG RIGHT!!!! 😆 i NEVER knew this lolololol
i was like IT GO FASTER??? 👀NANI?!?!
Clearly not part of the r/dragonsdogma subreddit you are
Just wanted to say everything here still works and is quite possibly the fastest method I’ve seen.
Amazing guide.
I killed the dragon and priest and everything apart from the bow got dragon forged lol
Why is it so funny to me every time when an enemy appears, gets hit by an explosive, flies in the air, and there's a "ching" sound followed by "ahhhhh"? Lol. Awesome video btw.
Two striders will proc any yellow vocation gear.
@@jaredcrabbno, he’s right. Assassin is a hybrid vocation (red and yellow). I tested this myself.
@@pemudabergairah The vocation color. Thats why hybrid vocations arent good for purifying gear. Fighter AND warrior, strider AND ranger, mage AND sorc.

at 28:55 you can actualy cheese death by using blast arrows or throwbllasts to knock him off the edgbut if you use a martyrs talisiman and level to like 60-70 or something like that
I got the perfect title for this video, "How to boss Rush Bitterback Isle on Dragon's Dogma"
Your character has a stunning resemblance to my rotundness.
I just use ruinous sigil and great canon on it several times and save several times at the safe area where two chests and leapworms are. It takes a while if low-leveled but does work.
