Funniest thing is: Gokaiger has the power to come into future seasons, and also import their own power into other future rangers (Ex: Gokaiger vs Zyouhger, where they had to find the "animal treasure" that would unlock Zyouh Red's power up Whale Morpher!) (with the Gokaiger concept of STEALING other ranger's powers, they can also inherit other future ranger's powers, and use it for their own purposes, from Go-busters to Boonboomger!)

Gokaiger is the first Sentai series I watched years back & THAT ALONE put me into the rabbit hole of awesomeness! It will FOREVER be #1 for me because GODDAMN this show ATE!!! Marvelous is that DUDE!!!

Funny enough this was also my first ever tokusatsu I've watched and weirdly enough it might've been because of that Power Rangers season that shall not be named
But yeah even being my first time watching something like this, I felt enthralled by the cast and journey, this felt like a great adventure and that's why I enjoyed it fully and it helped me get accustomed to what Sentai is and knowing it's history

@@tatsukinomiya yeah, I was younger and couldn't tell if it was good or not, but I did notice how dodgy it was and noticing Sentai suits I've never seen and never seen these in PR, so it made me actually research more into about Sentai thus leading me to learn about Gokaiger
Thus starting me off into the world of tokusatsu and I hold this season near and dear
And honestly hearing that more of the new Reiwa Sentai seasons being in top 10 in his list and how much fans I am around praise all the Reiwa seasons (sure in his list it's lower, but most people like Kiramager even if more lacking, tho it did sting me to see Toqger being low but it's understandable the theme isn't for everyone and I was like him once)
Where is Shinkenger? And Timeranger in my opinion is a Top 10 season.
Shinkinger was lost due to my bonehead editing, but it's easily top 5. And Timeranger is pretty great! I love the tone of it.

One awesome fact about Jetman is that it was created as a homage or a heartfelt love letter to Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, the anime series that heavily inspired the Super Sentai franchise.

Honestly, one of the biggest gripes I have about Goseiger is the _missed opportunity_ it presents us with. I mean, imagine having a Sentai team that’s fundamentally speaking, _incomplete_ because one of your would-be teammates _dies_ before getting to meet the rest of the team.

5:14 The reason for dynaman's suits resembling baseball uniforms are because they were originally meant to be based on it and be a baseball themed sentai but the plan was later scrapped. At the end they didn't even try to modify the suit s instead keeping the same site despite the theme change
Yeah, I still like the suits despite the shift in theme, but it does make me wonder how it would've turned out if they kept with the baseball theme

Gokaiger alone is the reason my spark for sentai came back.
I was watching Power Rangers up until mid Season 3 and it wasn't showing much on our TV network.
The only ones that were on re-run back then were Jetman and Bioman.

I've only watched Jetman so far, but I can't see any other season topping it as my favorite. But this video has given me a ton of suggestions on what to check out next, thinking I'll start Hurricaneger soon

I agree with some of the list though I haven't seen many of the sentai pre Gokaiger. But Ranking ToQger and Gobuster so low is criminal ☹. I know Ninninnger gets hate even though I really enjoyed the season but I have never heard anyone talk bad about ToQger, excluding those who didn't finish it.

It was definitely Gokaiger at the top for me! Everything from the pirate theme to the relationship of the crew, to learning about past sentai to Captain Marvelous' badass-ness, everything was amazing!!!!!!!

I watched almost every season already and was surprised I found myself agreeing with most of this list! Especially happy with how high Megaranger is, even though there are newer series that outrank them for me now it still holds a special place in my heart.

I don't get why Liveman get so much hate. It's literally one of the most mature seasons of all, with a very interesting storyline. It deserves so much more credit.

I’m ngl man even though I don’t agree with some of the takes (which I still don’t even care that much about at the end of the day😂), I fw this list. I don’t think anyone’s made a ranking list for every series as a whole as opposed to just the songs, suits, mech, etc. Plus I like how you actually put in some effort with how you word your takes without just using hollow critiques like “mid”, “trash”, “lazy writing”, etc.

Yeah, it's a consistent thing with his videos in general. I like how he doesn't attempt to pretentiously present his opinions by excessively using overdramatic terms and just explains why he personally likes/dislikes a series.
How the hell can you find the Timeranger theme to be weird? It’s one of the best themes in the franchise, SAME WITH LUPAT!!! The twin themes playing at the same time in an elegant dance like duel is SOOOO FUCKING GOOD!!! Also, I feel like you should have mentioned that as Akibaranger continues, it also starts to poke fun at the entire Okatu subculture as well xD
Although i wouldn't put it quite as low as you did, im glad you said that about Toqger. Im over halfway and still havent clicked with the Toqgers themselves. There's things i really like in that season but it let me down ultimately

I almost got mad when you said GoGo V was forgettable, but it's all good. I saw the entire series for the first time last year, and it was my first sentai series. Having overindulged in Ultraman, it felt like breath of fresh air. I want to conclude by saying the experience was great, but i am having trouble remembering any of the other episodes aside from the Salamandes arc and finale, with the ones when pierre used baby Lord Drop to attack the team, and when the brothers, and dad were turned into kids being episodes i can easily remember. Regardless, greak ranking video, and I didnt hesitate to subscribe

Yeah I did, although to be fair, it has been over the course of quite a while so some of the rankings were based on how memorable they were or weren't in my head ( like with Goggle V & Turboranger )
I very much appreciate the high ranking for Kakuranger my personal fav Sentai while Gokaiger is my fav team and always expect them atleast be in the top 3 atleast so no surprise here

just started getting into sentai after being a lifelong power rangers fan. I started lupinranger vs patranger since it seemed the most interesting! I’m almost done with it and it’s so good!! I’m still trying to figure out which one to watch next there’s too many choices lmao
LRvsPR is an awesome show and so unique! I would definitely recommend Gokaiger, Dekaranger, or Shinkenger next - also thanks for watching!
Now while some do view Go-Onger as not among the best seasons of sentai, i view it as one of the most underrated seasons out there.
Personally i do like its casts and also its theme which is based on the Digimon buddy system where their Engine are actual rational characters.
Plus i would also wonder why Go-Onger would receive an anniversary special years after its run and being the key factor for Gokaiger's ultimate zord.
I watched Gokaiger on UA-cam before it was taken off of there, and yes that show is entertaining in it's own right.
Lol that's how I watched it originally too. I nearly cried when it got scrubbed off for copyright.

Changeman being Right in the middle makes me happy. But There's no way ZENKAIGER is better than Changeman...
Gonna be honest here, I respect your opinions (it is a personal video at the end of the day), but I'm confused about your judgment systems. It seems almost arbitrary why you do and don't like something? Is it mostly just vibe based?
I'd say it's a mix of vibes and some objectivity ( in the case of the higher ranked shows ). It's pretty hard to put some of these low because of the love I have for the franchise, but I just tried to think about how often I rewatch the show and also how memorable the charcters are. In the case of some shows I based it on what I've seen from the community, as in the case of Ninninger ( A show I really enjoy but it's panned a lot so i ranked it low ).
If I recall correctly, Ohranger's tone shift was because of the sarin gas incident in Tokyo. After finding out that the terrorist operatives were from a spiritual/religious group, Ohranger having "spiritual powers" was frowned upon (because supposedly the terrorist operatives were 'manipulated/mind controlled') and the producers had to change the narrative.
I knew about the terrorist attack but I didnt know that there was a spiritual angle. Interesting stuff - very unfortunate but interesting nonetheless
Liveman at 43 is an absolute dagger to the heart, it's gotta be one of my favorites

Gokaiger was my first super sentai series since I was curious about the suits. I got hooked and loved every bit of it. I liked the cameos previous members had and how some joked about the American versions (car ranger/turbo). Just an all awesome series.

Have not watched a majority of sentai, but my own personal list would have Gobusters quite a bit higher. It was initially off-putting coming after Gokaiger and their buddy zords and costumes caused me avoid it for a decade, but the story was engaging, Beet & Stag Buster added a lot to the team dynamics, Enter and Escape have incredible villain arcs and presence, and the sparing use of Megazord fights as some of the rangers would need to be on the ground defeating the monster at the same time as the powered giant made for a lot of variety.
Sorry you missed Shinkenger, but happy to see the hilarious Akibaranger! The order of all the Sentai Ive seen matches yours, and I look forward to catching some of your other favorites like Dynaman and King Ohger

I always liked Dekaranger and I hope we get to see another Power Rangers series adaptation with a new cast in the future.
Which one would be the next next season adaption? I would choose King-Ohger.
I always about thinking about Lupinranger vs Patranger, Kirameiger, or Boonboomger. We will wait no matter how long it takes and I'm sure some fans might feel the same way.

Number 3 was no surprise it would be this high on the list.
For Japanese Sentai fans living in Japan at the time, this was their childhood and the season was dark and full of emotional drama especially with the White Kiba Ranger and his mother.
It was gonna be hard for Power Rangers to adapt this season in America considering how dark it was and what they had to work around with the Mecha and Giant Monster fights not being used in every episodes and even with some internal issues at the time, they worked with what they could. Especially the giant dragon they decided to use a Lord Zed's ship.
But certainly the Japanese footage that originated from Number 3's season, it was clearly the standout best that Saban could have hoped and they certainly ran with the Thunder Megazord for as long as they did.
100% and I think MMPR season 2 turned out pretty well, all things considered
I hope we get a new PR series adaptation with a new cast after Cosmic Fury in the future.

the urban legend aound the inception of Power Rangers has been for a long time that Zyuranger was a meandering mess with potential. That said I was surprised not to see it lower on your list.

Solid list man, I have to say I personally also agree with your placement of Liveman. Very overrated and Go the yellow ranger and Dr.Obler were the best part, other than that eh. I personally have Dekaranger as my number 1, but now I gotta see Gokaiger if it can be out my boy Deka(Also, so glad that we finally got it on DVD in the America). Houji is one of my favorite rangers ever. Kiramger I am sad to see so low, but I respect your opinion. Even though you said it was a mixture between consensus and personal opinions, I still appreciate your list for having personal opinions be here because there were a lot of unique and unexpected takes.

13 Was extremely enjoyable series. As an old Power Rangers fan as a kid I got the 3 Sentai seasons that were the ones Power Rangers adapted from the Mighty Morphan series.
Number 13 on this list was enjoyable ride along with the humor in each episode that perfectly balanced out from how the previous season was so serious. Maybe when Ninjas are involved the Super Sentai writers love writing something with comedy similar to the comedic moments from Naruto but still keep the action within it as well as the true enemy coming from the hate within oneself.

Gokaigers all the way dude! I freaking love that season, the fact that they start out as "anti heroes" per say (well at least Marvelous, Joe and Luke) and how they change spending time or Earth and meeting veteran sentais it's just epic, 10 out of 10 easily.
Maybe you can rank the Power Ranger version of these super sentai next? 😅😅😅

I have 5 note worthy seasons. First is Shinkenger as that was when I became aware of Sentai. Second is Majiranger as it was the first Sentai season I ever watched. Third and fourth are kyroyuger and ToQger as those were the first seasons I saw while they were airing. Last and my personal favorite is Kirameiger because its theme of "shining in your own way" meant a lot to me when I was close to giving up on life.
I love how everyone has a personal connection with certain seasons, and I'm glad you hung in there when times were the hardest!

I love the suits and it's a lot of fun, but i've seen tons of people hating on it. It also ranked lowest amongst dino seasons in the community poll I did recently. Regardless of that, I still enjoy it a lot!
I have Jetman at No. 1 and Gokaiger at 2 but otherwise I agree with almost all these placements. And I also agree with all the Luka love. Great job.

Some comments on some Super Sentai, mostly the older ones. Spoilers by the way:
1.) I really like the concept of introducing Anti-Bio Particles in Bioman as their weakness. That's kinda rare in super sentai having an actual weakness that would pose a real threat to the heroes. So much so that Yellow 4 got unalived. I just find it weird that during her funeral, she is still in her suit while everyone else that got affected by the particles were "de-henshin-ed." As a kid watching this series, this rekindled my interest when I was about to ditch the series due to boredom.
2.) I'm kind of happy you placed Maskman quite high in the list, though quite sad that you didn't point out that the show was a huge love story. Red Mask had a romantic relationship with Princess Lal posing as Rio, an enemy that was supposed to spy on the Maskmen until that enemy was punished by her boss by trapping her in a block of ice frozen. I was kind of hoping something similar in Kiramager when Kiramai Yellow met Yodonna. That would have been a really nice subplot and provided character development for the two.
3.) Kyuranger I think accomplished something most Super Sentai seasons would not be able to. Most of the time, the story focused on the red ranger and everyone else in the team is just there for the ride. But Kyuranger managed to develop few of the characters despite have a ton of them.

While I do agree that Gokigers was a great season. Still, what holds the season back from being great is the villains. Some of the villains were good like Basco was a great foil for the rangers, but he lost his edge after losing his ranger keys. The Zangyack started off right but didn't see much improvement. Maybe if they kept also looking for the Ranger power they might have had something, but that's me. I'd still put them in my top 10, but I'm not sure where.
Thats actually a great take that I dont see too much. If theres room for improvement in Gokaiger, the villains are where it is
