Is this the one with the keyboard lockout? I thought about just putting a cover on one, but it's even closer to the door frame than this one. I could do this no problem, but sometimes I wonder of it were possible for some of these companies to have universal bases where all the had to do was replace the face.

I had a lux 9000 smart temp. I changed it to a Honeywell. Worst choice ever. Honeywell sits on the same temp and just keeps working every 10 minutes until i turn it off manually.
The Lux i had would bring temps one degree above the setting and satisfy the system. Any help would be appreciated.

I have this unit controlling an upstairs zone and couldn't remember how the lid comes off. Your video incidentally shows how it attaches, and I was off to the races. Thanks! FYI -- I've had this unit at least five years, and it started blinking "OFF" when I called for a higher temp (and produced no heat). I was worried about my 'call for heat' zone transformer -- but it was just the original batteries in the thermostat dropping to 1.3 volts. Nice and warm now (Nov 4th, just outside Boston).

LUX makes some of the basic and programmable thermostats. They are rated way better than the honeywell ones and others as well.

must be a stat setting. a reminder of sorts for hot air systems.
