This is the most difficult Thermostat ever. I'm telling you the more options things have the more complicated they get for users. Good thing it was free. All I wanted was to keep it at one temp.

Our apartment just gave us this thing and I hate it with a burning passion. So many stupid settings. I just want the AC to be simple at all times!! I don’t want a stupid schedule for each particular hour of the day!! 😡
Woke up at 5am overheated because some stupid program had started that we didn’t know was on. Watching this at 6 trying to figure out how to fix it after reading the manual with no luck. 😩
I have a different model but I programmed it from this video and it works great 👍🏽
My Lux 1000 thermostat is the perfect example of a device that was designed by people who are completely out of touch with reality. Yes, this thermostat can do the wash and change the oil in my car and give me a back rub. But God forbid I should want to set the thing on just one temperature. Very confusing to say the least.

I agree. The thermostat is a bit confusing. Because it can do a lot, simple settings become complicated. I set the thermostat for 62 F. In the middle of the night, I hear the furnace constantly on. I'm come downstairs, and the temperature is set for 70 F. I have to learn more about "program mode".
Hahah same here! I just ant it set at 70 on a hot summer day, cmon thermostat!

What? You didn't get a Pen Light with it? My HD Guy gave me one and said to buy this with it..cost $1 and fits in my Mouth..& go next door and buy a 6 Pack of Bud Light! and Make sure I Pre Set it after Put batteries in and on the table, Do not Mount it on the wall yet ! And have a Stool to sit on when installing it ( But Pre Set it BEFORE installing it..) not After you've mounted it on the Cieling!!!!( actually- in the hallway ;-) Then Let the Wife Do it, Its Sunday and that's Football day and what thasty Beer and chips are for..and tell here, if she can install it right? You will give her $50! to go shopping afterwards..! :-) :-)

Just watched this video and my 100 doesn't do any of that. It has the switch for it but when I put it there nothing changes - no date, time or any options at all. Is it broke? I hear air coming out through the other vents but not the living room and it never gets cold enough in here. It's 77 right now in October in ny! 52 degrees outside!!

I bought a house with 2 of the touch screen, TX9000TS thermostats and I need to know how to override the passcode, set a new pass code, or just get rid of that part altogether. Any suggestions?

I can't find one video telling me how to just turn the damn thing on and off when I want to. I don't need all this programming shit. Honeywell has more user friendly thermostats that you can set up on your mobile device. I got stuck with this crap at my new apartment. 🤪

Push the Up Arrow Button to the desired Temp you want 24 hrs a day
Then Press HOLKD Button until you hear a click! and it should be set! then go to the HD and buy a simplier Unit, R&R thius LUX unit that is for Younger working Kids ( Miliennials..)

Remove batteries and then Remove the Unit from the Wall.. Put back into Box and Return to The Home Depot..They are making these things more complicating to force us to have to hire HVAC People to Install them and That's Trumps way of Creating More jobs! I kid you Not..
