High-speed chase ends in East County San Diego with suspect in custody

- A high-speed chase ended peacefully in San Diego’s East County Wednesday morning. The suspect is now in custody.
The chase was first reported around 7:00 a.m. and at one point reach speeds up to 100 mph. The suspect traveled across the East County through the Santee area, driving on SR-52, I-8 and traveling on El Cajon Blvd, Ridgefield Ave and at one point eastbound on Fletcher Pkwy.

Recently, on UA-cam, a pregnant woman was pitted after 2 minute slow chase the pit flipped her car, injuring her. She had already acknowledged the officer by slowing and turning on her hazards. He followed her and pitted her. Almost killed her. Then he pulled his gun at her, yelled and screamed at her that it was her fault he pitted her and didn't ask if she was OK or assisted her as she hung upside down in her seat belt. He arrested her. On UA-cam this past week.

I’ll never understand what people feel the need to add multiple charges to their records when they’re clearly out of options. Instead of the original domestic violence charges, now he’s got multiple felonies not just traffic citations which will add years and fines to his sentence. Either way they were going to catch up with him.

I wish News stations and broadcasters realized how important it is to have two people that jive and have good chemistry on-air reporting. This team here isn't it. Whenever there's a chase like this, slower traffic keeps right and the flow is nice and smooth. On normal days, traffic gets jammed, all because of a couple of idiots not passing in the passing lane.

The problem when someone is labeled a domestic violence suspect or convicted of domestic violence it has such a broad range of circumstances. They may have yelled at someone or they could have mashed their head in.

You can outrun cars, but not the helicopters. Plus, can’t say for sure, but considering he had the San Diego PD copter on him, he drove into an area where the sheriff copter would come in. They are equipped with FLIR. Gonna be pretty hard to get away. What you don’t see there is how many police departments were participating in the chase and surrounding him. The other thing is many area neighborhood are in divisions, so the only way out will be how you went in or stay on the main roads. No way out unless he can break away on foot, but not likely once they are all over him.

It depends on the victims' insurance plan. Some are covered, some aren't, and those ones will have to eat it. But they can sue the scumbag, and HIS insurance SHOULD pay for it.

How come in CA, chases turn into parades? In many other states, the subject would have found himself spinning around, especially when there were numerous opportunities in this case. And in CA, he would be out before the PD finishes their paperwork!
"Domestic violence". She got mad that he took away the credit card after one too many shopping frenzies for shoes and purses, so she slapped him and threw a blender at him, then he hit her back, so she calls 911. He gets charged with "domestic violence", she gets a Magic Restraining Order to keep him out of the house that he pays for. "Domestic violence", yep.
