@@ryeb The disrespect for Dave is unreal.
@@salozmen29 There is no disrespect for Dave or Joe. With Dave being the die hard Nintendo, this was the perfect video for him. Joe has done a great job keeping the show going.
Dave's not here, man.
i'm glad startropics still gets lots of love, damn we need another one!
Bob Cornhole taught me everything I know about the NES.
What a awesome time to grow up. I was born in 96 and nes and snes were my first consoles. Those are my best memories
Thank you for talking about crystalis!!
Crystalis was the shiznite!
Of all the channels about retro ganes that i watch im glad that you still put up contents about actual video games. Keep it up.
Finally. I've been waiting 34 years for a review of the NES so I could figure out whether I wanted one or not. So much brand new, never before heard information here.
I like how your humor has developed over the years.
I feel bad for people that grew up with a master system instead of a NES...
I prefer the nes, but Master System has some very good looking ports and games
Still i prefer the nes music on most games.
I feel sorry for people that had a NES instead of the mighty master system.
I feel sorry for all you muggles .... playing nes or master system ....
Amiga was a thing
*are you serious it had better graphics and more color and FM sound on the bigger games* 💡
I like how the game transitions divide the load screen into transparent layers.
damn Dave should be there today!
And it's Christmas.... Remember when he said he worked for FedEx...... Not the quiet time of year right now ...
Yeah, all these “vhs recorded clips” made me think... it’s gotta be... and I was just waiting for Dave to pop up at the end and school Joe in the outer or the skit...
But the future refused to change........
@@thepickles8833 Dave wasn't friends with Joseph yet during the time period Joe was getting the VHS NES game tapes mentioned here. Also Dave seems pretty dead set on not returning to GameScrotum, I suppose even just for an episode on the game console that essentially single-handedly transcended Dave into a hardcore video game lover. I'm all for family first, but life should really be a balance rather than an all or nothing affair.
@@sega32xxx14 wise words! balance is everything!
He did cameo on that one episode a few months back, but yeah it would have been nice to see Dave especially on this episode, it’s like Joe missing the Genesis episode.
The NES was my first system…when I finally got it for Christmas when I was 9 years old I was elated…I had wanted it for 4 years up to that point since I played super Mario bros at a friends’ house…since then I have been a huge game fan and eventually a 3D modeler, animator and content creator. Thanks Nintendo for revitalizing and revolutionizing gaming❤
> Special thanks: Dave White
A single tear is shed
My first system. The many great memories I had. I wish I could go back to this time in my life sometimes.
Me too
Good morning from the Netherlands. Coffee and Gamesack to start the day. Never owned this console, prefered Sega.
Haha same here! Good morning from Belgium. Sunday morning with coffee and game sack. Never owned the NES, owned a master system, mega drive and also borrowed a Super Nes from a friend.
North American UA-camr 16 bit sega sold better everywhere except japan
You couldn't possibly cover all the classics but Ninja Gaiden and Double Dragon definitely deserve a mention.
Kelly Bond - Ninja Gaiden and Double Dragon series as well as Jackal (Konami), Little Nemo: The Dream Master (Capcom), Duck Dales (Capcom), and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade.
Is that a "bloodstained curse of the moon" tshirt?

i love the effect you put on the game transitions. editing on point!
Who else agrees he should do the Atari consoles.
The NES was my first video game console. My parents bought it for me from Toys "R" Us. I remember coming home and plugging the system into the TV and seeing Super Mario Bros. for the first time. Suffice to say, I had never seen a video game like it at the time. I also had Double Dragon and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Arcade Game. Unfortunately, years down the road the system somehow disappeared along with the games. I ended up waiting a long time, but I eventually bought an NES myself. I absolutely love Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Castlevania, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Mike Tyson's Punchout!!, R.C. Pro-Am, Excitebike, Ducktales, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Arcade Game, etc. among other titles. Otherwise, thanks once again Joe for the great video. Thanks for bringing back my childhood memories. I really appreciate it. Keep it up!
